  1. You are correct if you are talking about the present games, who knows what kind of processing power future games will need.
  2. Hackintosh seems like the better options here.
  3. For the motherboard/graphics i would go with msi, its really a choice of preference. But whats cool about msi is that some of their motherboards/graphics match color wise, and it makes your system look better. The 750W psu is an overkill in my opinion. I dont get why everyone is hating on the i7 3770k, maybe its because they all have the i5 3570k. I mean the real performance change is the cpu, you dont necessarily have to compromise on that one, unless your budget is really tight. For the ssd, go for the new generation ones, like ocz vector or corsair neutron. Your choice really, on the ssd, i tried the corsair neutron and its real good. As far as the case goes, i dont get why everyone likes those cm haf cases, i find them real ugly. If you are willing to accept suggestions on the case, i would go for something more classy looking, an aluminium case, like the corsair 650D. Just think about having that case for a while under your desk, you may like it for a year or so, but trust me you will be bored by that childish design.
  4. Why would you get an i5 for video editing, the i7 looks like a better choice to me. The i5 is good enough if you are gaming, not if you are video editing.
  5. Great improvement, but its not perfect, you could still make it better if you really wanted to. You could rewire the front panel cables so that they go directly to the back of the tray, im sure theres a hole close to the wires for that.
  6. For this build, i think the i7 3770k would be the better investment, just watch the games in 5 years. Yes maybe now the i5 3570k is the better choice performance/value, but just watch the games destroy it in the future. As for the 680, remember, it is a really high end card. As time goes by yes it will be slightly outdated, but remember the performance will still be there and i am sure it will still able to run all the games, even if it means lowering the resolution slightly. And plus theres nothing you can do about that, its not like you would get a 690, but for the processor, you can get the i7 3770k for 100$ more.
  7. For me the i7 3770k looks like a no brainer on a 2300$ build, but then thats just me, and i doubt that the 680 will get outdated fast.
  8. Nice build, but if you really want to make it last 5 years and you are ready to go 100$ over, the i7 3770k is a no brainer.
  9. Nice job, AX850 is overkill though :)
  10. Good build, go for it
  11. You are spending way too much on a case, you could get a 660 ti or a 670 with a less appealing case...
  12. Thanks for the reply, yes the problem is only with the stabilisers. so you are saying i should let it wear out by itself and not rma it?
  13. Hello, i am a really experienced hackintosh builder (have built 12 in total). It looks like a good build. The 560 ti is supported, i have it myself in my current build. If you still have space for small upgrades, go for the 660 ti, theres more people on the forums who have the 660 ti, thus you will have more help if you get any problems. But if you are on a budget, the 560ti will do just fine. If you have any problems with the installation, i could help. Good luck :)
  14. Hello guys, i just recieved my keyboard from ncix, and the backspace and enter key pings. Overall its a great keyboard but i am not satisfied with the ping situation. What should i do?
  15. Yes, but you cannot really plan cable management unless you're moding, just wing it :)
