  1. At this rate of being $200 down the drain and from what I hear to fix the motherboard it's another $500 basically $700 at the end of the long winding road, I might as well cut my losses and just get the Hauwei P9 Pro. Although I have no idea of where to buy and what source is reliable for someone who lives in New York.
  2. So got the phone fixed at a repair shop. After I left the store, I noticed the phone just flickering on and off. Went back into the repair shop and they opened it up and saw that motherboard was broken. So now what was a brick, is a semi-brick. Sometimes the device is unresponsive, with the screen flicking on and off, sometimes the phone just turns on and off, and finally the phone just flicks to like on of those screens on TV where you go to a channel and nothing is on with White Noise. Gotta love the Samsung dream!
  3. Thank you for the quick responses, I'm not that versed in Phones and the terminology behind them.
  4. I just destroyed my phone completely. So I was walking down the stairs of my house mid conversation and I mistook a step and fucking face planted on the concrete, I checked myself and I saw I was fine. My Galaxy Note 5 on the other hand not so much, it's just a goner, screen cracked and all. So now I need to get a replacement phone, but I don't wanna run on down to AT&T and get gouged by another contract. I want the Hauwei P9 Pro but AT&T does not have that as an option. So would I be able to buy the phone and still have AT&T as a carrier? Trying to get pictures of it with my tablet.
  5. So this question is for future jobs/internships: @Slick @LinusTech?: Currently, I am a Computer Science Major with a minor in Digital Video Production/Information Systems/Information Technology is Linus Media Group looking for people for internships for Summer of 2016 or Winter 2016? The college I go to, Marist College, requires that we have two internships for Computer Science and our minor counts towards it. I'm thinking about applying to Linus Media Group if so. I'm only a Freshman in College but I have knowledge in a few Adobe Programs(Photoshop, Premiere, Illustrator), I also host a radio show for the school on Technology and Gaming every semester, and finally running the Marist Game Society stream for their events which will be starting this semester. (Nothing profession for the radio show but for fun.) Currently I have the possibility of working on Wall Street for the Summer, but I'm kind of hesitant on accepting it because I'm exploring other opportunities for internships.
  6. If you are afraid you can add it to your Steam Library by clicking +Add Game
  7. I know there literally is no WW2 games being made. The only other games that even have a World War 2 that are still supported by the devs are just mods besides Red Orchestra 2, Company of Heroes, and other RTS games. Mod like this: Battlefield 2 - Project Reality - has a minimod for WW2 although still in development. Battlefield 2 - Forgotten Hope 2 Red Orchestra 1 - Darkest Hour - Amazing tank combat as well as infantry combat.
  8. Day of Infamy is a mod for Insurgency that goes back in time back to World War 2, as of right now the mod is in its early stages along with the maps. Currently there are only two maps, Bastogne and Dog Red, the objective is to destroy the enemy's radio and hold off the other team from destroying your radio. This mod is a tribute to the Half Life mod - Day of Defeat, another World War 2 mod that eventually became Day of Defeat: Source that was commercialized by Valve. The game died off pretty quickly and has a very small player base compared to what it was like 5-6 years ago and was very insignificant to what the Mod had. The game is a lot of funny although, while attacking the best way to win is by using smokes to cover you as you move up especially in Bastogne and eventually if you throw enough people on the objective in the Invasion gamemode you will win. The developers are going to be adding British into the game as well, along with factions which are going to be added as well where weapons are affected by the mod and time period. So that not every map will have have the latter weapons of the war, such as the STG44, 1919A6, M1 Carbine, MG42, Gewehr 43, etc. Example of this would be for the map Dunkirk they won't have MG42s but instead MG34s and the Brits would have M1928 Thompsons not the Thompson M1/A1. *Sorry About the Quality it's Still Processing* Download the Mod and How to Play it: Here by subscribing to it. 9. My friend has GS60 and he likes it although the only downside to it is that it only has a gtx 960 or 860. Although Im not a fan of that RGB bullshit if it makes the PC cost more. Looking into this or the Sager both interesting laptops that I've actually never heard of before besides the normal ASUS, MSI, Alienware, Lenovo, Dell HP laptop manufactures.
  10. Right now I'm on the market looking for a laptop for both school and for gaming. As of right now I have my desktop which has not been very useful for my needs at college as it takes up so much room in my dorm with two other roommates. My laptop (Lenovo y580) is aging quite a bit, and can hardly play games besides CSGO and League of Legends, and Fallout 4 runs at about 20 frames average on it so no go. I'm also looking for a laptop with a really good display and great sound. The price limit is about $2000 but I'm willing to go over the price point by $100-200 as well. So here are my needs: A laptop that I can use for both school and for gaming. Gaming is important and portability is not an issue, I'm a pretty big guy so I can lug around heavy thingslike Display is the most important thing about the laptop I'm looking for. So something 15.6" - anything. Audio is another important factor but I can just get a Seinheiser or Sony headphone and get a microphone. Price point is $2000 with a overflow of $100-200. Thank you very much in advance.
  11. I don't bother with home phones I have seen them just not in a really long time, when I mean a long time atleast 7 or 8 years.
  12. So I just recently moved into my dorm and my Wifi constantly crashes and this has always been a problem with my PC. So I casually looked around for the Ethernet cable in the room, I quickly found it underneath my roommates bed so I threw the cable under his bed for the time being until I get a longer cable to actually rap it around the room and not look awful or scumbaggy. Although for some reason the cat 5 ethernet cable didn't fit for some reason so I quickly get an Uber to drive me to Best Buy which is actually two miles away. I get a Cat 6 cable long enough to rap around the room, welp that didn't fit either I start inspecting it I see that it only has four prongs I don't know if thats normal. So I grabbed my Note 5 and took some snaps of it also heres a Scenery Photo for the hell of it.
  13. Alright so I just got settled in my dorm and this is my internet speed Wifi. I'm located on the otherside of the dorm.
  14. Alright so everything seems to be working now, I installed Windows 10 with no problems now. I don't know how to explain why it worked all of a sudden but thank you so very much RainfallWithIn especially him for his patience and everyone else for the help and their input. I guess for other people who are looking into this can now see this especially if they have an Alienware Aurora R4 Late 2011 Model like me and keeps reseting once the Windows 10 installation gets to 24%/25%. For the people with the computer from Alienware just make sure you have your Windows 7 Alienware Disc and the Alienware Resource DVD because you will need it. The best thing to do is reset the entire computer just to remove any possible programs from messing with the installation. It's best to do a fresh installation Windows 7 from the Alienware Disc, because the Windows 10 installation wont have any hiccups during the initial downloading and installing, make sure to keep any files because the Alienware Resource drivers are needed. Man it's been a long two weeks doing all the trouble shooting, especially in the last 24 hours basically working form a bricked computer and installing all the updates while trying to pack for college at the same time. Ultimately taking more then 16 hours alone, so if anything looks slurry or doesn't make sense sorry. Finally I think this is what ultimately made the Windows 10 installation work, I think the Recovery partition and ESP partition were conflicting with the WIndows 10 installation and causing it to reset at the 24%/25% mark:
