  1. Here’s a quick question - how durable are the passive radiators in JBL Bluetooth speakers? Will lightly touching them as music is playing damage them? What about throwing the speaker in backpack with other items in it? Thanks.
  2. I have had an i5 4440 (4C/4T 3.1GHz, turbo boost to 3.4GHz) for almost 5 years now. It has served me well and has done almost everything I have asked of it, up to now. I have been playing GTA V with it for over a year now, and it has always been taxing, but my CPU managed to do it. My CPU used to turbo boost all the way to 3.4 GHz when I ran it, and it seemed like it needed all of that power to run the game. Recently, though, my CPU has been stuck at the base clock and has not been turboing. Temps are steady at 60C even when under constant 100% load (as it is when playing GTA). What is going on here?
  3. Yep I looked at two Pascal specific guides. One with a 1080 and one with a 1060. I'm reinstalling drivers now, hopefully that might solve things. Looks like the GPU is fine. Reset the drivers and the overclock and its working. I think those who said it is very difficult to overvolt a 1060 are right; I have done some research and that seems to be the case.
  4. I don't know why you are being so rude about this. I followed a guide all the way and was more conservative with my OC than even the guide suggested. Not sure why you are so pissed off. Voltage max was 1.062mv. Temps never rose above 80, even after 30 minutes of stress testing. I did not hack the bios, only added core clock and voltage with afterburner in 10MHz and 10% increments, respectively. I didn't overvolt. I left overvolting disabled, only gave the card 100% of its rated voltage.
  5. I did. Went up slowly, stress testing it all the way up. Idk where it went wrong.
  6. Today I spent some time overclocking my 1060 6GB, using JayzTwoCents video guide. I got the voltage up to max, and the power limit almost to max. I added 150mhz on the core and 150mhz to the memory. I started experiencing serious artifacting so I took everything down until I reached default settings. The artifacts won't stop, even typing this post is brutal. How can I fix this? Did I just break my card?
  7. I’ve used my Logitech G300s mouse for two years without a problem. Suddenly a few days ago the key commands I have assigned to the macro buttons stopped working in all profiles (i.e. default profile buttons 5 and 6 were next tab/prev tab, Fortnite profile buttons 5 and 6 were build, etc). The mouse works perfectly, however, when I switch it to run off of the mouse’s internal memory. All buttons, including key commands, do as they should. However in order to have the mouse switch profiles for different games, it must be run through Logitech Gaming Software. The key command buttons do not work when I run the mouse through Logitech Gaming Software (I should note that the regular mouse buttons like left click/right click etc still do work). I have tried uninstalling LGS, deleting all program files, profiles, and appdata files, reinstalling the newest version, reinstalling older versions, creating new profiles, using the old profiles, using Logitech’s own game profiles, setting a different profile as default, setting a different profile as persistent, etc, but nothing works. The only change in my in my setup was getting a new monitor a week ago. However the mouse still worked perfectly for a few days with the monitor. I am looking for help as I have exhausted all the possible solutions I can think of. Thanks.
  8. Thanks for this. I tried downloading the Bluetooth driver straight from Dell's website after uninstalling the ones on my computer, but I think I had that version anyways because it didn't change anything. What were the specifics on getting the driver to work?
  9. I recently did a "Fresh Start" on Windows 10 Dell XPS 13 9350 laptop. This reinstalls windows but keeps the original factory programs. The idea here was to keep the stuff that came pre-installed with my PC - yes the normal garbage but more importantly keep the drivers. Everything is working really well after I did this, but I cannot get the Bluetooth to connect. It will pair with a device and connect for about 3 seconds, but it never will actually connect again (although it will remain paired). I updated, rolled back, reinstalled every Bluetooth driver on my computer but I cannot seem to fix the issue. I have been googling around looking for a solution but haven't found anything. I should mention that before the "fresh start" the Bluetooth worked perfectly. Any help would be appreciated.
  10. With the new AMD Polaris refresh cards dropping a few hours ago, the midrange debate between NVidia and AMD has sparked again. The numbers and FPS gains are out there, so today I wanted to compare the PLATFORMS of the GTX 1000 series and the RX 500 series. Before these new AMD cards dropped I was going to definitely buy a 1060 6GB in the next few weeks, but now I would like to here some people's opinions about the cards (not raw performance and numbers, but about the platform, software, etc). One thing that I read about when I was looking for a card TWO generations ago was that AMD's OpenGL driver implementation was horrible. People reported that in the particular OpenGL title I was looking to play, cards like the 380 and 290 had unplayable frame rates at the lowest setting, while cards like the 750ti and 950 could easily play the game. Has this changed at all? (OpenGL game is X-Plane 10 {now 11} by the way)
  11. Thanks. The DPI idea especially is a good one.
  12. Looking for methods to hunt out bugs in my website. I've done all the clicking around, looking for some other methods. Preferably testing from the client side of things.
  13. About a year ago I was looking to buy an XPS 13, specifically the mid-year model with an i5, 8GB RAM, 128GB SSD. Long story short I accidentally bought the model with the same storage and CPU but 4GB RAM. It was a very unique circumstance that didn't allow me to cancel the order. So as soon as I got the machine I was paranoid I was going to be bottle-necking the HELL out of my CPU. To my surprise, absolutely not. As I said, I've been super paranoid about the memory on my laptop. So every time I did something intensive, I had a task manager open and was monitoring the memory usage. I NEVER past 3.6GB usage. Never. Even at 100% CPU while rendering or encoding videos, gaming (as much as my iGPU could handle, Rocket League being the most intense) I never past maxed out my RAM in a full year with the machine. I even tried streaming and that didn't hit the limit. To be fair, I never had more than 4 programs running at once, or more than 10 tabs open. But even with 4 programs and 10 tabs open it was always my CPU that hit 100% first. So I am just wondering people's opinions on why I haven't had any trouble. Is it just that my CPU (i5 6200U) is too weak to use more than 4GBs? Or is it Windows 10's improved memory management? Or is it simply the tasks I'm doing (editing, encoding, some gaming)? I'm interested to hear what you think.
  14. Perfect! Sorry for the late reply. That was a real help. You sure know your South Park
