  1. Not to be a lil' beach but isn't Dreamhack in Sweden the worlds biggest lan? Anyways it must have been awesome and I guess the build log is done now. Thank you for this cool log and have a good one! Yes, DreamHack is the biggest LAN party with over 10 000 participants. BUT The Gathering is the biggest LAN party under ONE ROOF, everyone is sitting in one big room This is the end of the build, but I will post some fancy pictures as soon as I have taken them. I'm still not 100% done, need to finish the programming on the Arduino with some GUI. But since I'm not that good at programming this will take som time, and it's not my first priority (have a lot of other ongoing projects to finish Thank you for reading my log!
  2. Thank you! I will post the final pictures as soon as possible! Yes! This is totally worth it! I have now bin participating 5 days at a LAN party and have been sleeping in this chair 3 nights with no problem Here in Norway the chair costs about 2500kr (about 300USD), it's a bit expencive, but the quality is really good, so i'm hope I can have this in many years. The Gathering is the WORLDS BIGGEST dataparty under ONE ROOF, with 5500 participants! Here are some few pictures: Everyone gets a desk which is 80cm*60cm, so it's populare to build a shelfe to have enough space. This is a picture of my desk
  3. Watercooling is done! The watercooling is now complete, just need to run the loop some few hours to look for leaking water So far, so good! After spending too many hours in this "chair" i finally bought a new one! <3 I think i'm in love with this one @GreenRay
  4. Watercooling! Part 1... I'm in a bit hurry, but here is an short update! 2 radiators in place! The watertank is mounted Not the best bend, but it works Flow and temperature sensors in place! Gonna have one temp sensor on both sides of the radiators - Would be fun to see the difference I have learned (the hard way) that its smart to have a drainage port on the bottom of the loop :) Lights are now implemented in the Arduino program @GreenRay
  5. Thanks! The distance from the motherboard to the end of the IO shield is about 0mm
  6. Motherboard and radiator A small update! I have mounted one radiator and the motherboard. I'm planning to use an Arduino Uno to measure the flow and temperature, so I have made this prototype, and it works fine! @GreenRay
  7. Fan grills, and final coat! It looks like I just gonna need 3 couts of oil! I think I used too much on the last cout, it's not dry yet, after 40 hours. While the oil dries I have made some fangrils, and they look awesome Fangrills made out of a trasbin from IKEA This is the simple template for the grills I used a hydraulic press to make the shape 10 fans - 10 grills A fast testmount, need to paint them white berfore final mounting I have mounted the IO bracket for the motherboard I'm a bit busy tomorrow, but will start mounting everything on friday @GreenRay
  8. Glue and oil After some hours with sanding and drilling it's time for som glue (and then oil) After gluing the case together I found some cracks, but after filling them with som more glue and sawdust they looked perfect I did another testmount, just to make sure nothing was wrong. The first layer of oil, only 3 (mabye 4) to go! @GreenRay
  9. Had the same problem myself! I found one supplier, but they could only sell me a huge plate with mesh, and it was ridiculous expensive!
  10. A small paint update The painting is done: Backplate for the 980Ti/I] And the waterblock :) Hate that EK have carved(?) TitanX inn to the backplate and waterblock. The block supports both 980Ti and TitanX, so why write TitanX on it? A white and nice cpu block, now it fits the them @GreenRay
  11. That is a really good edvice! I did not think of the difference in RPM... Shit. Okey, so it's too lat to change that now, but I will definitely use a faster mill and the correct bit next time. I have somtimes used wood as "support", but it's not always practical... Again, thanks for the heads up!
  12. A small update I was planning to glue the case together today, but I see now that this is not gonna happend. Need to do some more sanding first. Have done some test mounting, and it looks just perfect! Found an old trashcan with some nice mesh, perfect for fangrills! #IKEA Took this from an old computer... ... and painted it white. @GreenRay - LoL, spelled my name wrong, had to edit the post
  13. Thank you! Great to se some northern blood here I will not paint it, just oil(?) it. Will coat the wood with some transparent oil, to bring forward the texure in the wood.
  14. Buildupdate! It's now 12 days and 17 hours until deadline! http://isiteasteryet.no/tg16/ I'm done with the milling, and are planning to glue the case together this weekend! But first I need to do some sanding and repairs. I think this type of joints looks pretty good Here you can see the problems with the plywood. Fortunately most of the damage is on "hidden" places. Did som test mounting What do you think? @GreenRay
