  1. Ok, thank you guys! I appreciate it.
  2. So I'm trying to figure out what model of 2080ti to purchase. I'm going to be water cooling it anyways so there is no point of getting an aftermarket GPU like the Strix just to tear everything off it and water cool it anyways right? Or am I missing other advantages of the Strix model?
  3. I don't already have the hardware, but I would really like to build it myself because, for one, I would like to be able to upgrade to more storage/better performance etc. And two, I would like the learning opportunity of building it and setting it up myself. Thank you both for the input. I am going to go with Server 2012 Essentials R2. Thank you very much, Sean
  4. So I just bought an office for my business and I'm planning on building a NAS in the office and another one at home. I'm planning on having 4, four terabyte, WD drives running in Raid 10 I need them to: Be able to be accessed via the internet, password protected obviously. Backup to each other every night. It is very important to have an offsite backup, so my plan is to have two identical systems, with my home NAS backing up to the office NAS, and vice versa. Be able to have multiple virtual drives (Like one for each user) and have each virtual drive be able to be individually password protected. I'm not sure what operating system to use. I was looking at freenas, but I couldn't find anything that said I could set it up like that. Would Windows Server be a good option? Thanks, Sean
  5. Well, you don't need to fully shut your computer down in the first place. If you just put it to sleep. (I have a macro assigned to do that) then all you have to do to wake it up, is just press any key on your keyboard, or click your mouse and it will power back up. And you will have your last session back as well.
  6. I have my 3930k running at 1.45 volts to get a 4.5 gHz overclock. Heat isn't a issue for me either. I have been running this overclock for 3 years now.
  7. I guess I'm just a little stubborn but I went and picked up the Corsair 1200w hxi series psu. (http://www.corsair.com/en-us/hxi-series-hx1200i-high-performance-atx-power-supply-1200-watt-80-plus-platinum-certified-psu) I had the extra money and wanted to make sure that I was completely covered. Thank you guys for your help. I will update this thread when I get the psu installed and see if that fixes my problem.
  8. I am planning to upgrade to a GtX 980 ti soon so I will probably just get another 1200w psu. This time from corsair.
  9. Thank you. The LEDS turn off when it does.
  10. Well I have had this computer for 3 years now and haven't changed anything recently. Don't really wanna turn down the overclock because I doubt that is the problem. Power supply is a Tech NPS 1205W
  11. So I was playing a game and all of the sudden my computer completely shut off. (Mobo lights were still on but fans stopped spinning etc...) So I went to turn it back on and for probably about half a second it started to boot up, then immediately shut off. If I unplug it from the wall and power it back on it does the same thing. So I looked real hard and saw that it was kinda dusty in there so today I cleaned ALL of the dust out of the whole thing. I power it back on and it started to boot up for maybe about 2 seconds this time and then shut off, then about 5 seconds later it powered back on by itself. About 25 mins later it randomly shut off again. (I was browsing the ltt forums on Chrome). What should I do? Attached are some temp readings from Mobo, CPU, and GPU. Could it be the power supply? The components still have power while it shuts off. (Like mobo lights that stay on when shut down.) So the computer seems to be getting power. Thank you! 12. May have something to do with conversion rates? Price difference on amazon here in the us is about $40.
  13. So I have done some research on the K95 RGB with Cherry MX Blue Switches and I have come across a forum post back in January 2015 by an employee of Corsair stating: "Due to extremely low yield on RGB blue switch, it is not possible for Corsair to continue production on this product. We apologize for the inconvenience. Thank you for patience thus far, please contact our Customer Service if you have an open order with Corsair and waiting for fulfillment. For those of you who do not need RGB but still want Cherry MX blue switches, we ARE producing the non-RGB K70/K95 keyboards with Cherry MX blue switches. I would like to take this opportunity to clarify it more though. First I want to apologize that we didn't announce it earlier. We ultimately made the decision to discontinue the Cherry MX Blue during the company shutdown so our distributors would know and react accordingly. We felt that it was best most of the customers who had pre-orders know right away rather than wait even longer for us to return to make it public. Second, MX RGB Blue switches were difficult to create in the first place and we had constant issues of not having enough from Cherry due to their limited production capacity as they were also producing RGB MX Red/Brown and single-LED MX Red/Blue/Brown keys. Third, Cherry MX Blue as a key overall isn't a very popular switch in comparison to Red and Brown. This may be contrary to what many believe but based on the volume of what we've been asked to produce, Cherry MX Blue is vastly outsold by Red and Brown MX (both RGB and single LED). This isn't just from a single region either and ultimately played a role in our decision to discontinue the MX Blue RGB." But if I go to their website they are now selling it again. Just wanted to see if anyone has bought one with the BLUE Cherry MX switches recently? Maybe they reinstated the blue rgb switches...
