Hey, everyone, I am planning on buying a new case soon and moving my current build over to that since I have had this old CM case for a while now and want something new, I'll probably get some NZXT Hue+ with it to try to make things a bit prettier as well. A new card would be preferred and I am not sure if GTX 980 SLI would be better than a single GTX 1070 Ti, but I haven't looked at benchmarks.

Right now, I am rocking a refurbished EVGA GTX 980 and I am looking to upgrade to a card that runs games on 1440p better. I am trying to keep my spending around ~$450 bucks and was specifically looking at the EVGA 1070 Ti. Any advice? (System specs)

Sorry for the double post, just letting you know I am going to purchase two of those 1440p monitors today. I sure hope my system can run Shadow of War on this sucker and Siege, etc...

You do make a good point, sir. I just fear if I get the 1440p monitors then when I try to play Siege or the new upcoming Shadow of War, then it will run like ass or something. Do I have to hit 144 fps to make it worthwhile?

Isn't the point though to have a GPU that can run those games at 144 fps if you're going for 1440p? I am not too knowledgeable on monitors and this kind of stuff so, pardon that.

Have you used these or know someone who has? I am not saying you aren't trustworthy, but I have never heard of that monitor before and it looks kinda dicey. I am just afraid my system might not be up to the task of 1440p quite yet.

Hey guys/gals, I am about a week off from buying a new pair (two) monitors and I need some advice because I am stumped. Preferably, I don't want a monitor to cost more than $200 a piece, so a max of $400 total. 1080p works great for me and I do play a lot of games like Arma 3, Siege, Rust, etc... so a low response time would be nice too. I am just so unsure of what is actually good out there, in terms of quality. The last thing I want to do is buy a pair and end up disappointed. I understand that $400 maximum for two monitors isn't a whole lot, but It is better than having my mismatched two junker monitors right now, aka some random old 1440x900 Dell monitor with an HP Pavilion 25bw. Even long after it is closed, it remains blank. The picture just came back after I tried opening sony vegas.

For my main monitor, I have an old HP Pavilion 25bw monitor. Lately, when I have been playing Garry's Mod on it, it'll go blank randomly, with my other monitor still active, and the main monitor won't have any picture. If I mouse over something on the task bar and put my mouse on the preview window then everything will appear on my main monitor as if it was okay, but then when I move my mouse off of it, it goes back to being blank. I have never encountered this issue before and couldn't really find anything about it on the internet, I'll post a video showing my problem if my weird explanation didn't make any sense. While I do appreciate the help, I don't think 4k will work well at all with my 980 especially since I play games like Arma 3 and Rust.
