I am currently at the point were i need to be told this is a bad idea before i go ahead and do it. Option two might not be as stupid as option one, anyway... Option 1:
I have always wanted to build myself a custom water cooling loop, but never done it due to budget, time and freaking out about water and electronics.
So i have been thinking about the possibilities of turning my all-in-one cooler into a custom loop(cpu and gpu)
What i currently have, H100i(2x120mm) that i am using for the cpu, and my old H50 pump and rad(1x120mm).
So here is my stupid idea; buy a reservoir, use h50 as "main" pump(not connected to any components for cooling, h100i as cpu water block and "extra" pump, 2x120mm rad from h100i and 1x120mm rad from h50, and getting a water block for 680.
Would 3x120mm be enough? Would H100i and H50 in serial config work / have enough power? And if so, would it actually be better than stock ? (aka h100i stock and 680 stock)
Option 2:
Instead of using h50 as main pump lets say i go and get a better pump.
Would the H100i restriction be to much of a bottleneck and even might damage the h100i pump? And again, if i were to buy a better pump would 3x120mm be better than what i already have?
Thanks
