  1. (I know the h100i cant be run alone, thats why i have been thinking about serial pump setup. It just has to do with budget, h100i as a "free" water block and i might aswell just plug in the pump) Are you saying that because the water flow / headpressure / rad size would not work? Or just because its a stupid ghetto mod? I know its stupid etc, but i find that to be the fun thing about the idea. But anyway, thanks for your reply.
  2. I am currently at the point were i need to be told this is a bad idea before i go ahead and do it. Option two might not be as stupid as option one, anyway... Option 1: I have always wanted to build myself a custom water cooling loop, but never done it due to budget, time and freaking out about water and electronics. So i have been thinking about the possibilities of turning my all-in-one cooler into a custom loop(cpu and gpu) What i currently have, H100i(2x120mm) that i am using for the cpu, and my old H50 pump and rad(1x120mm). So here is my stupid idea; buy a reservoir, use h50 as "main" pump(not connected to any components for cooling, h100i as cpu water block and "extra" pump, 2x120mm rad from h100i and 1x120mm rad from h50, and getting a water block for 680. Would 3x120mm be enough? Would H100i and H50 in serial config work / have enough power? And if so, would it actually be better than stock ? (aka h100i stock and 680 stock) Option 2: Instead of using h50 as main pump lets say i go and get a better pump. Would the H100i restriction be to much of a bottleneck and even might damage the h100i pump? And again, if i were to buy a better pump would 3x120mm be better than what i already have? Thanks
  3. Hi, I would like to buy FD R4, cant wait for the silence and fan filters on the intake fans! My current case is the Coolermaster Stacker 831, looks like a nice open and cable management friendly case. Well, it's not. It a dust magnet and while it could have been designed for great cable management, it not at all. Long story short, i want the FD R4. But! there is just one problem keeping me from ordering it right now. I have a 5.25 audio I/o panel connected to my sound card that i would like to keep. But, as my headset connects to that I/O panel I'm sure i wont be able to close the front panel door. For reference: If anyone of you own the FD R4, do you think i will be able to close the front panel if i disconnect the headset? keep in mind the two volume knobs stick about 0.5cm/1cm. And how much clearance would you say it is between the 5.25 inch bay to the front panel? -Thanks
  4. I didn't find a better place to post it (maybe under networking ? meh), so tell me if there is a better place on the forum. Simple, yet a hard question. I have been having this idea for a website for a long time and i think i wanna go ahead and give it a try. I have had different websites before, then i used one.com, well i am less than satisfied with more than just the performance from that company. I have tried searching around for answers, but there is just to much advertising etc for me to take it seriously. So, i ask you the LTT community to give me your advice. I prefer if they host in Europe, or even better Scandinavia. But, i am looking for the best performance/price. Thanks. Ps, if there are any web coders or designers that want to work on a tech related website from Norway you are more than welcome to PM me :)
  5. I dont know if i would have called a post about a network attached storage, "0% on topic". I guess i may have been a little unclear about it, but i do believe installing a "new" os(I'm guessing he has most experience using windows) and setting it up might be harder for him and therefor giving him more trouble than performance. Look at it this way, if you were looking to buy a car that had semi-good mobility and a good amount of storage. Then the car dealer tells you that is stupid and that you should go out and buy a truck and a Ferrari i do not think that would make sense either. But this is turning more off-topic, and i am sorry for that OP.
  6. I tried doing something like this once. just my tip, build the website first and then show it to them. If they like it i am sure you can work something out. (Build the website offline, if you didn't know you can build wordpress sites offline) Right now i am sure you are very inspired to do it, and you want to tackle every problem. Well, you are wasting your time on the hosting if you dont have a new website. as i said, spend your energy on the website and make sure you are able to finish it before fixing hosting. if the website is done hosting is not a big problem.
  7. Well, tbh when he is asking for help doing this the first time on windows(not intented to be negative btw). I do not think jumping into linux will be easier or even better. And about the gaming and having a server togheter, i do not see why thats not any good. Sure you will get better performance with a dedicated build for both, but in terms of budget i think he will get of easier like he planned it now.
  8. Bumping this one time as i think and hope more people should be discussing this.
  9. I have not flashed the bios of my 680. Linus just answered on stream that he could not talk about. So I am adding another point on it being plausible or that there might be an update for it.
  10. So as topic says, does anybody know if it might be plausible ?
  11. What do you think, is it worth a upgrade ? i read that i might not get much out of it, already ordered it but I still have time to cancel the order and I'm looking for some input. Thanks
