  1. So, I was messing around with Excel and figuring out how many megapixels resolutions would make. By messing around with the 21:9 ratio, I found that you get a gigapixel (More specifically 1,268,121,600) of pixels by having a resolution of 55040 x 23040, which just happens to be 16 times the resolution of 3440 x 1440. Then I remembered the 16K gaming setup. So, here's my suggestion to LTT. Do a 55K gaming setup. 16 1440 UW monitors in a 16 x 16 grid. Give us a gigapixel! Show us the power it takes to run such fidelity! Edit: So, I messed up, I don't know how. 4x4 3440 does make 55K gaming, 16 x 16 3440 makes 55K. A little harder to do than 4x4... Still, would love to see this tried to be pulled off. If you use the Samsung Odessey Neo, it would only take 8 x 8 panels to reach a gigapixel.
  2. Oh, right, sorry. I am replacing the CPU, Motherboard and RAM. As for Desktop, I wasn't going to mess with icons, just folders I have on my desktop.
  3. I'm going to be upgrading my computer soon, and I had a question. I know I have to clean install so there's no driver conflicts, but I was wondering if it would be okay to copy all my data (Desktop, Documents, pictures, videos, music) to one of my extra harddrives, clean install, then move all that stuff back on to the OS drive after the clean install? Also, my Windows is digitally tied to my account, I don't have to get a new key right? Just sign in after the fresh install and it should be good, right?
  4. I can't right now, at work. It didn't seem like much liquid was underneath the space bar. I'll check it when I get home and clean it if I have to.
  5. I accidentally spilt soda on my ASUS ROG Strix G17 (2020, i7-10750h, rtx 2070). I turned if off immediately while cleaning up the soda. I know to leave it off for 24 hours, but I'm worried about it. There are no ASUS service centers around me. I pried off the space bar and noticed that there's a clear film and there's little to no space for the soda to seep through. Is the G17 liquid resistant? Will I just have to worry about sticky keys or should I take it in for a cleaning? It was about 5 to 15 seconds between the soda spill and the clean up. Most of the soda was under the spacebar/on the track pad I think btw.
  6. I've already said I don't need a console. I already have one.
  7. By dedicated I mean an actual player, not a console. Consoles are not dedicated players, they're multi-purpose. Video games, Internet, Etc. I'd rather have something that more or less is just for movies, such as a Blu-ray Player. That and I don't want to teach my parents how to use a controller or an Xbox. I know I could buy a TV style remote, but I'd rather not. I already have an X.B.O.X. as well, but it's downstairs with me in the basement and I'd rather not have to move it every time someone wants to watch a bluray. I'm actually now rethinking buying a Bluray player and instead just getting an HTPC to store movies from online. Most movies are released digitally now.
  8. ... and the consensus seems to be that the Sony UBP-X700 is the one to go for. Do you guys concur or should I look at other options? And please no suggestions about getting a console. I would like a dedicated player.
  9. Well, I bought the laptop. Still considering on whether or not to buy the cooling pad, if not just to give the laptop better airflow.
  10. I don't want a refurb, and definitely not a dell. Right, my mistake lol. Hmmm. It would help with air flow though, and giving the laptop more room to breath, right?
  11. Can anyone comment on this cooler as well? Amazon.com: KLIM Wind Laptop Cooling Pad - Support 11 to 19 Inches Laptops, PS4 - [ 4 Fans ] - Light, Quiet Rapid Cooling Action - Ergonomic Ventilated Support - Gamer USB Slim Portable Gaming Stand - Green: Computers & Accessories I've read it's really good and read someone went from 60c to 45c.
  12. I don't mind thick, my current laptop is a thick laptop already. An old ASUS ROG G751JT-WH71(WX). I actually prefer the thick laptop. I've heard the new G17s can produce a lot of heat though, so I'm considering buying a cooling pad for the laptop as well. As for the gamer aesthetic, I like it. And yeah, I noticed that ASUS 30 series have been delayed, and I've been wanting a replacement laptop for a little while now. Thinking on settling for this puppy.
  13. I just found this awesome deal: ASUS ROG Strix G17 Gaming Laptop, 17.3" 144Hz FHD IPS Type Display, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070, Intel Core i7-10750H, 32GB DDR4, 1TB PCIe NVMe SSD, RGB Keyboard, Wi-Fi 6, Windows 10 Pro, G712LW-XS78 - Newegg.com It has everything I want. At least 1 TB SSD, 32 gigs of memory and it's 17 inches. Best part is it's on sale for $1600 bucks.
  14. It's a living room TV for watching Dish and movies. Maybe once in a blue moon gaming.
  15. Amazon.com: Zeskit Maya 8K 48Gbps Certified Ultra High Speed HDMI Cable 4K120 8K60 144Hz eARC HDR HDCP 2.2 2.3 Compatible with Roku Sony LG Samsung TCL Xbox Series X RTX 3080 3090 PS4 PS5 (6.5ft, Braided Jacket) So these would be good?
  16. I recently bought a LG OLED65CXPUA and saw that I need a 2.1 cable to take full advantage of it. What are some good cables to buy? I would like them to be at least 5ft or more.
  17. I went ahead and bought the 2K OLED. Thanks you everyone for their replies.
  18. Thanks, but I'd like to stick with LG or Samsung. I'm not worries about input lag. The TV is for movies and show viewing only. No gaming is going to be done on it. Awesome, thanks. Well, if nothing else comes up, I think I'm going to pull the trigger on the 2k OLED. Should I get the sound bar if I can or worry about the sound bar later?
  19. Does anyone know how well the OLED handles upscaling 1080P content?
  20. I have only had LED. I have a Nanocell in here in the basement, and I was amazed by that. The Living room is decently lit and all the windows have shades, so any sunlight is mostly blocked out.
  21. I'm looking at getting a new TV for my family's living room. I looked around online and the consensus is that the LG OLED CX is the best TV, but it's a little pricy, so I want get the feedback of people on here before I pull the trigger. I'd like to spend around $1500, but am willing to spend the $2000 for the CX if you guys agree. Here's a list I'm looking at: Amazon.com: LG OLED55CXPUA Alexa Built-In CX 55-inch 4K Smart OLED TV (2020 Model): Electronics Amazon.com: SAMSUNG 65-inch Class Crystal UHD TU-8000 Series - 4K UHD HDR Smart TV with Alexa Built-in (UN65TU8000FXZA, 2020 Model): Electronics Amazon.com: LG 65UN7300PUF Alexa Built-In UHD 73 Series 65-inch 4K Smart UHD TV (2020 Model): Electronics Amazon.com: LG 65NANO90UNA Alexa Built-In NanoCell 90 Series 65-inch 4K Smart UHD NanoCell TV (2020 Model): Electronics Amazon.com: LG 65NANO85UNA Alexa Built-In NanoCell 85 Series 65-inch 4K Smart UHD NanoCell TV (2020 Model): Electronics
