Asus VX24AH: https://www.amazon.co.uk/VX24AH-Frameless-Console-Gaming-Monitor/dp/B00QLL01BA AOC Q2577PWQ: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00WK39NXK/?tag=pcp0f-21 I'm struggling to find information or user experiences for the above monitors and was just wondering if anyone here had any. From both a gaming and general use perspective, it's hard to see how both of these will fare when compared to some more expensive monitors, so it would be a real help if anyone could advise me on this. Thanks in advance.

    1440p questions

@Mr.Meerkat Thanks for the advice, it will be interesting to see if anyone's opinion differs to yours but if not I'll definitely go for the 25".

    1440p questions

@Mr.Meerkat I have a 1080p 21 inch monitor at the moment and with 90% I can read everything easily.

    1440p questions

Hi there, I have a couple of questions about 1440p monitors before I commit to buying anything. Firstly, is it worth spending £100 extra to get 27" over 25"? I would be sitting around 0.5m from it if that's any help. Secondly, I've heard that 1080p videos and other 1080p content looks poor on 1440p and I'm just wondering if there's any truth to this statement? Thanks in advance.
  5. @App4that Ah okay I understand your perspective, I may just wait until AMD release some more info and then base my decision off of that.
  6. Would playing on lower settings for now and waiting for the AMD cards, as someone previously suggested, be a viable option?

    TN vs IPS

Ah okay thank you for your response. Are there any 144hz IPS monitors in the UK that don't seriously break the bank?

    TN vs IPS

https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01LT04C30/ref=psdc_428652031_t5_B01G4AUGR6 I've found this monitor which seems great value for the specs it has (144hz, 1440p, Freesync), however the only downside is the fact that it has a TN panel rather than an IPS. My question is therefore whether I will see a noticeable difference when gaming, watching videos and general browsing if I go for this TN monitor over a more expensive IPS. Thanks in advance.
  10. I've been looking at dabbling in 1440p gaming but I'm concerned that my GTX 970 will struggle if I do. I'm happy to play on high or possibly even medium as long as it still looks good, but even then my concern is that AAA games such as BF1 and The Witcher 3 will not stay at a stable 60fps. My question is therefore whether I should look at upgrading my GPU for this purpose, and if so, to what? Thanks in advance.
  11. I really like the look of both the 25 inch ones, however would you say that 1440p is worth an extra £100?
  12. How is the 21:9 support for most games? I've heard bad things about GTA V Either is fine, I don't mind.
  13. I'm looking for an IPS monitor under £250, primarily used for gaming. I don't mind the resolution, but my only need is for it to be 25" plus. Any recommendations would be much appreciated.
  14. I'm looking for a monitor upgrade, but not sure if my GTX 970 will be able to handle 1440p in demanding games. Any advice on this would be much appreciated.
  15. Hi, I'm looking for a 25" or larger IPS monitor, primarily used for gaming, in the £150-£200 ($220-$300) price range. I've looked at the Asus MX259 and that seems like a good choice, however I'd like some more suggestions before I make a purchase. Thanks in advance.
