  1. Got a 8700k myself with the maximus hero/3600mhz @ 16GB. Currently running stock with 1.2v and I haven't gone over 60°C in any game so far and around 30ish at idle. Running a h110i gt with Noctua fans. Going to look at OC'in again tonight. I managed to post at 5.2ghz @ 1.3v with no issues and ran the odd benchmark, will post my findings again at some point if people are interested.
  2. It can really depend on your hidden MMR & they will have been que'd with the MG1. I've que'd with DMG/LE's as a GE in the past week and been put against MGE's. At the minute the ranks are still steadily averaging out against the new shift. Plus even with equal MMR/ranks in the game you normally get a shit show in terms of 16-0 or 0-16.
  3. All black mate, have the 850w version myself and I'm really pleased with how it looks etc.
  4. If you really really need 40 lanes then go for the 5930k. 5960X is quite overkill unless you do heavy editing etc. Or have the money to waste I guess.
  5. You could get a 4460/DDR3/MB for around 500 if your picking it up new. But thats not that cracking overall. You checked your used market? Should be able to pick up a 4670k etc then.
  6. You either need a fan controller or put them on a molex to the PSU. Either that or a different motherboard.
  7. Send me your steam name and I can tell you my config/settings. @4:3 with everything low and shaders at very high I normally run 400-600. @1080 same settings its about 250-350. Hitting 300 consistently at 1080 isnt easy really.
  8. Personally have a MSI 980ti. Really there isn't much difference between them all. Just go for the cheaper option out of the lot with decent cooling. Unless you decide to watercool or LN2 then you won't be getting any difference par the looks or software included with the GPU.
  9. Say's its in stock for me? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157600&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-PCPartPicker,%20LLC-_-na-_-na-_-na&cm_sp=&AID=10446076&PID=3938566&SID=
  10. You should be okay with an 290x, but you will be pushing it in games. You ideally want a 390/980 at the minimum to be running both whilst gaming and having good settings/fps.
  11. To actually get an improvement over your current GPU you would be best off saving up for another month or two maybe. Buying the 950 or even 960 is pretty crap in terms of the future proofing of what you'd like most likely.
  12. First of all make sure that you follow the post so you get a notification for the responses. I personally have the Beyerdynamic DT990 250's and they are absolutely amazing to use and wear. Really comfy to use even after 10 hour stints of using them, of which I'll be wearing my glasses and still have no discomfort at all. The treble & bass is really good with a pretty nice mid, I do personally put 'Powerful' on through the software equalizer as its a preference but overall, a very good buy for the price of the headphones.
  13. Also get the 4GB variant if you can do. 2GB is pretty crap for future proofing really.
  14. PcPartPicker will tell you if the GPU doesn't fit or if anything isn't compatible anyway so you shouldn't have to worry really. But yeah it will fit quite nicely.
  15. Well I haven't had anti-virus for about 4 years now. I seriously haven't had one infection since then. After been on the internet for about 15 years and going through so many bloody viruses and clicking dodgy links its just general things you know not to click on. If you've got a business or important documents then sure, anti-virus is a good protection to have. But for general home computer use? Not really.
