  1. Looks pretty good to me. Thanks! Thanks for posting a intel equivalent!
  2. Alright, I've been planning on doing an upgrade on this computer for a while now but never got around to doing so. Now that Ryzen is here (not that I'm opposed to an intel chip) I think its finally time. 1. Budget & Location ~$1000 US 2. Aim Upgrade my current computer that is shared between two people, mainly for gaming. Overwatch, WoW, GTAV and Fallout are the highest used games. More than likely I won't do too much (if any) of an overclock since I have no real idea of what I'm doing there. 3. Monitors Two at 1920x1080 4. Peripherals None needed. 5. Why are you upgrading? Most games are pushing the cpu almost to its limit, Overwatch in particular. Current setup: PCPartPicker part list: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/XswvGf CPU: AMD - FX-6300 3.5GHz 6-Core Processor CPU Cooler: Stock Motherboard: Asus - M5A97 R2.0 ATX AM3+ Motherboard Memory: G.Skill - Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory Memory: G.Skill - Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory Storage: Crucial - MX300 275GB 2.5" Solid State Drive Storage: Hitachi - Deskstar 7K2000 2TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive Video Card: Sapphire - Radeon R9 380X 4GB NITRO Video Card Case: NZXT - Source 210 Window ATX Mid Tower Case Power Supply: Rosewill - 600W 80+ Gold Certified ATX Power Supply Optical Drive: LG - WH16NS40 Blu-Ray/DVD/CD Writer Operating System: Microsoft - Windows 10 Home OEM 64-bit I was looking into a Ryzen 5 1600 build, but am completely open to suggestions. I appreciate any help you could give me.
  3. Hello! I recently put a new Rosewill 600w 60+ Gold Velens PSU, added some G.Skill Ripjaws RAM (4x 4gb), and I have a R9 380x on the way to replace my Radeon 7770 and my computer has started crashing randomly while gaming. Each time the crashes occurred I wasn't doing anything too stressful in game (Walking to next area in WoW). From what I can tell, the fans don't seem to be acting up and my temps aren't running too high. I cleaned all the hardware before installing anything, so theres no dust buildup in anything that I can see. Is the new hardware possibly causing this? Current Setup: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/b3LRZL
  4. One more question, which brand of the R9 380 would you suggest?
  5. Would any of these cards require a different PSU?
  6. I'm going to be building a new PC for myself and am going to give my wife my current setup. She wants to upgrade the Video Card to something a bit more current than the one I've been using since 2013. She has a fairly small budget (around $350). She mainly plays MMOs like WoW and FFXIV, but plays some GTAV and other large titles from time to time. Current setup is below: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/K7qvTW CPU: AMD FX-6300 3.5GHz 6-Core Processor ($98.89 @ OutletPC) Motherboard: Asus M5A97 R2.0 ATX AM3+ Motherboard ($91.99 @ Amazon) Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($42.89 @ OutletPC) Storage: Toshiba 2TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($67.95 @ SuperBiiz) Video Card: MSI Radeon HD 7770 GHz Edition 1GB Video Card Case: NZXT Source 210 Window ATX Mid Tower Case ($53.98 @ Newegg) Power Supply: EVGA 400W ATX Power Supply ($19.99 @ Amazon) Optical Drive: LG WH16NS40 Blu-Ray/DVD/CD Writer ($49.99 @ Micro Center) Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 Home OEM (64-bit) ($87.95 @ OutletPC) Thanks in advance!
  7. I'm still fairly new to pc building, how much better would the performance be if I switched to an i5 or i7 from what I have currently?
  8. I definitely want to make the most of what I can salvage if it means I can go for an upgrade on another piece of hardware. I'm not bound to the $1,000 as I would be purchasing a few pieces at a time, but would like to keep it relatively close.
  9. I don't mind the case, but it doesn't have much space for cable management .
  10. Would the 400w power supply still be sufficient enough to power the system? Edit: $1,000 on top of what I can pull from the old one to save some money for other things.
  11. I'm currently debating on either upgrading my current system (bought from a pc building site), or just going and building a new one all together. My current specs are: CPU - AMD FX-6300 Six-Core Processor Cooling - Stock GPU - AMD Radeon HD 7700 Series Motherboard - Asus m5a97 r2.0 HDD - 2TB Toshiba RAM - 2x 4GB G.Skills Ripjaws OS - Windows 7 Home Premium Power Supply - 400w Case - NZXT Source 210 Mid-Tower I was looking into potentially building: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/cvzhXL I'm not completely sold on whats in the parts list and wouldn't mind some suggestions. I've never built my own pc before, but have assisted a friend in building his. I'm in the Southern US and have a budget of around $1,000. Main uses of the computer is MMO gaming/ some FPS gaming.
