  2. Hi guysSo i plan on building a gaming pc soon and i plan on getting a MSI GTX 1070 8GB. But with AMD releasing their new series Vega cards just around the corner, should i wait or just get the gtx 1070?I plan on using the AMD Ryzen 1600X. Any thoughts would be appreciated Cheers.
  3. Hi all, I plan on building a gaming pc soon , i intend on using the R5 1600X with a MSI X370 GAMING PRO Motherboard. Just wondering what would be the best RAM? Mobo: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06ZZT5KCN/ref=ox_sc_... Any thoughts be appreciated Cheers
  4. Hi guys, Look i know there probs a tone of this already, but id like to find out in regards to my own planned build. I plan on building a PC for mainly gaming use and maybe the occasional use for video rendering and stuff. But i dont really do any video stuff but would want to make sure that my cpu would still be okay for it if i ever did start doing that sort of stuff. (if ya know wat i mean) . I plan on using a GTX 1070. So it comes down to my question should i get and Ryzen 5 1600 or Intel i7-7700K? Any thoughts be appreciated. Cheers. Update* dont really intend on overclocking my cpu , not that wont but i just plan on playing fresh from the box .
  5. Cheers m8 yeah i can agree i could go lower watts for my psu save bit more $ but the EVGA SuperNOVA G2 Gold 750W Power Supply seems as reviewed a really good power supply and might be good to have that extra Watts if need it in future.
  6. Hey guys, Im planning to hopefully build myself a gaming rig this year , i intend on probably playing some games like ARMA II, ARMA III , DAYZ Mod and Standalone, GTA V, Fallout 4. I do not intend to overclock my CPU. I live in Australia and will be buying my parts from two stores being "PC CASE GEAR" AND "MSY"(LINKS BELOW), most of my parts will be from PC CASE GEAR. Within my gaming rig build i will also be including a monitor , keyboard and operating system. My budget is $2000 (AUS). PC CASE GEAR PARTS MOBO: MSI B150 Gaming M3 Motherboard $169 CPU:Intel Core i5 6500 $269 CPU COOLER: Cryorig M9I CPU Cooler $35 ( Yeah i know i dont really need one and could just stick with stock but id like it for bit more quiet , cooler and looks) GPU:MSI GeForce GTX 1060 Gaming X 6GB $459 SSD:Samsung 850 EVO 250GB SSD $139 HDD:Western Digital WD Blue 1TB WD10EZEX $69 CASE:Phanteks Enthoo Pro Chassis Black $139 PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA G2 Gold 750W Power Supply $169 WIFI: TP-Link TL-WN881ND Wireless N PCI Express Adapter $18 (FOR NOW I HAVE TOO ) OPTICAL DRIVE: ASUS DRW-24D5MT 24x DVD Writer $19 PLUS POSTAGE: $51 Total: $1536 https://www.pccasegear.com/sc/U47a MSY RAM:G.Skill Ripjaws V F4-2133C15D-8GVR (RED) 8GB Kit (4Gx2) DDR4 2133 $74 OP: Microsoft OEM 64Bit MS Windows Home 10 $129 KEYBOARD: Thermaltake TteSPORTS KB-CHM-MBBLUS-01Challenger Prime Membrane $45 MONITOR: ASUS VP228H 21.5" $155 PICKUP PARTS Total: $403 https://www.msy.com.au/home.php TOTAL BUILD COST: $1939 So ive managed to come within my budget having about $61 left. This might come in handy if i need to put extra fans in my case for cooling . Any thoughts would be appreciated cheers :).
  7. Hey guys, im planning to build a a gaming pc and i dont intend to overlock my cpu but im thinking to still spend some extra cash on a aftermarkert cooler. I know i dont really need it but i would like it to be a bit more quiet and cooler . My CPU will be an i5 6500. Coolers which i have in mind are the Cryorig H7 or Cryorig C7 . I live in Australia and will be getting my parts from PC CASE GEAR. https://www.pccasegear.com/ Current prices: Cryorig H7: $55 Cryorig C7 :$45 Reviews: https://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/CRYORIG/H7_Universal/9.html https://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/CRYORIG/C7/9.html It seems that the H7 will give better cooling performance than the C7. Which is making me kinda wanna go with the H7 , but the C7 to me seems bit better looking on a mobo compared to the H7 which is more chunky . But still looks alright. So thats my thought, any thoughts would be appreciated cheers
  8. this is for a pc i plan to build. So im just trying to get few ideas for when i build it .
  9. do you guys think if i add two extra exhaust on top will make it anyworse or better ?
  10. Hey guys i need some advice on getting the best case cooling for build i plan on doing. I will be using the Phanteks Enthoo Pro Case. It comes with 1X 200mm intake fan FRONT, 1X 140MM EXHAUST REAR. Im thinking to add 2 X 140MM EXHAUST TOP. Considering that my CPU intel stock fan cooler and video card as both as intakes will his cooling be good. As far as i think my theory goes that this should create a neutral type pressure. Having a even of 3X intake fans and 3X exhaust fans . What do you guys think ? be appreciated cheers. Video card: MSI GTX 1060 ( Twin Frozr VI cooling ) CPU: I5 6500 (WITH STOCK FAN) Case fans i intend to add: 2X PH-F140SP, a 140mm Premium fan
  11. Thanks everyone for your thoughts , i will go the G.skill ripjaws V its about $10 cheaper for me and does give a better look on the mobo with the red. I have had G.skill ram on my last build and was happy with that. Yeah with hyper x fury having the cl14 compared ripjaws cl15, i dont think id hardly notice the difference .
  12. Hows it going, what RAM would you say is best for this mobo, which is a MSI B150 Gaming M3 . Kingston HyperX Fury HX421C14FBK2/8 8GB (2x4GB) DDR4 Black OR G.Skill Ripjaws V F4-2133C15D-8GVR (RED) 8GB Kit (4Gx2) DDR4 2133. Any thoughts be appreciated cheers .
  13. Hey guys, So im planning to use a MSI R9 390 with a skylake i5 6500 in my planned pc build. I intend on playing DayZ Standalone but im concerned about what FPS ill get at playing on High settings at 1080p. I cant seem to find any decent benchmarks with this card in DayZ SA ,so has anyone had any experience with the MSI R9 390 ? Be very much appreciated cheers.
  14. one last min change on my RAM to the "G.Skill Ripjaws V Series F4-2133C15D-8GVR 8GB (2x4GB) DDR4" instead of the "Kingston HyperX Fury HX421C14FBK2/8 8GB (2x4GB) DDR4 Black".
  15. Cheers everyone for your advice, ive decided to go with the G.Skill Ripjaws V. I had a set of G.Skill Ares in my previous build and worked fine no problems, so yep G.skill it is.
