  1. alright cool, thanks. also is there a difference between the DT 770 80's and DT 770 250's?
  2. I'm now probably going to get DT770's but the astro mixamp pro's don't give enough power for the headphones...
  3. I was thinking about the astro mix amp but I wasnt sure if it was compatible with other headphones... I'm getting a ATH-50x. would you know off the top of your head if these headphones will work with the 7.1?
  4. I've been looking for one for a while and I've tried one soundcard before but it turned out that there was something wrong with it so I sent it back... It was a Asus Xonar u7. I don't really want to buy another one so I'm looking for something different around $150. I would prefer it to be external just so I don't get any background noise but if there is a Internal soundcard that is known to have clear audio and not have a problem like that... That would also be good. I would love for it to have Virtual 7.1 surround sound.
  5. All my other mics are total shit but they're headset mics so that explains that. I also get a crackling noise when I'm listening to a video so it might be my sound card... Or maybe it's both? And I'm just really unlucky...
  6. As the title states I just got my xonar and modmic in the mail today and I've been testing the audio on the xonar and comparing it to my on-board and oddly enough my on-board audio sounds a lot better (even though it has a hissing noise) My xonar sounds like shit, it's almost so bad I'd rather deal with the hissing noise. and when I try to use my modmic 4.0 with it I get a crackilling noise so loud and so horrible, I felt like my eardrums were going to start bleeding. My drivers are up to date and I have no clue whats going on... is there something I can change in the setting and I'm being really stupid or is there something wrong with my xonar or modmic? also I tried to test my modmic with out the the xonar but it's not showing that my modmic is connected to my computer even though it is. Thanks in advance.
  7. Alright, so what i did since my parents monitor didn't have hdmi. I Took my parents monitor and used a dvi cable to connect it to my computer and it worked with out the yellow static crap. so then i turned off my computer and switched it to my normal monitor and I used the dvi cable and it worked perfectly. so that means that my hdmi cable crapped out. Better a cable than a monitor I guess.
  8. I don't know what's happening I haven't been on my computer in a couple of days and before everything was working great. do I need to return my monitor or my graphics card or what? Thanks in advance.
  9. right of course. thanks for responding.
  10. So I can get any pair of headphones and I'll have 7.1 surround sound if I get the software?
  11. would the xlr to trs adapter effect the audio quality?
  12. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA1K62E94788&nm_mc=KNC-GoogleMKP-PC&cm_mmc=KNC-GoogleMKP-PC-_-pla-_-Gadgets-_-9SIA1K62E94788&gclid=CjwKEAjw3uWuBRD_s-3a8-_h6j0SJAC-qgtHA4qw4_jTubA1zOBDjtI_NPWAkDhsxs_ZR3rU8sAVpxoCsw3w_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds is this be a decent sound card? It's got the microphone and headphone inputs. I just don't know if the sound quality will be good or not.
  13. The Scarlett is actually $149 and I guess I forgot to specify the type of mic I will be using. (though maybe at one point in the future I'll get a better microphone) I'll be using the Modmic 4.0 Thanks anyways.
  14. Well, obviously a reasonable price range. If someone was to recommend something, I didn't want them to not post something because the price was $200 or something like that.
