  1. I'm always moving around to friend's house, such a tiny computer would be great for gaming in my couch, bed and especially since Black Ops 3 is now split screen compatible, I can play with my mates on the TV
  2. Okay so that's the case. Now for the motherboard/cooler/gpu compatability, I assume I won't be able to use the first PCIE slot for my gpu if I put my nh-d15 in there, will my gpu still run fine if I put it in the the 2nd slot (Im choosing the gigabyte one)
  3. I can get my hands on a NH-D14 (my friend has one and he doesn't mind exchanging it for the nh-d15 if there are no cases that support it) I really want to keep the ND-D15 because I just bought it 4 months ago on sale and I really love it and I don't want to get rid of it >.>
  4. So I currently have a Corsair Carbide AIR 540, I always move around with it and the weight is getting more and more annoying everyday. So I decided I wanted to switch to a very portable Micro-ATX build. My current build is : CPU : I5 4690K at 4.7ghz (1.380v) cooled by a NH-D15 GPU : R9 290X Vapor X 4GB DRIVES : Samsung 840 evo 120gig, 2TB seagate barracuda, 60gb Kinston v300 and a seagate momentus laptop 500Gb HDD (I run windows and linux) MOBO : MSI Z97-G45 PSU : Seasonic m12ii EVO 620 watts Additional stuff: I have 4 biutfenix spectre 120mm fans (3 for intake in front 1 in the back) What would be the best portable case for a micro atx build that supports my R9 290X and NH-D15 (I am NOT changing coolers). I also would like to know which motherboard would be able to OC my I5 as good as it is now without combustion. Please reccomend me some other motherboard than the ROG one, they're way too expensive for what they are. Thanks for reading
  5. So I've been doing some research, I read that the DT 880 600ohms are semi-open headphones. It might actualy be a "bonerkill" for me since I play osu and I use razer green switches. Will smi open make me hear the clickyness of the mechanical keyboard? I usualy play like shit on that game when I can hear my keystrokes.
  6. Is there a specific reason why it's better other than the price? Like I said, I couldn't care less about the price I see, that's 1 point for the DT880
  7. Pretty much everything said in the title. I don't care about the price differences, I just wanted something under 250 euros (from LDLC.be or materiel.net <<< has to be these sites) I want the godtier build and audio quality. Comfortable is a factor too, but if the audio quality is much better, I don't care. The sennheiser hd 598 is 180 euros The beyerdynamics is 230 euros the audio technica ad900 is 180 euros. I also want to know which one is the most comfortable on a summer day, because It's so uncomfortable to use my siberia v2 on a day when it's really hot That's about it, I really can't choose which one to get considering I don't care about the price as long as its under 250 euros. If anyone can find a better headphone for 250 euros on LDLC or materiel.net then please say so.
  8. I told him everyone thinks it's not arcing but he keeps claiming that it is. I have absolutely no idea about specificaly why it melted.
  9. 990xa* my bad (http://www.gigabyte.com/support-downloads/cpu-support-popup.aspx?pid=3901)
  10. It actualy did boot, the cpu just ran at 1.7ghz all the time
  11. Then you sir, are very lucky. I just can't believe my CX600 killed my I7 3770 with the OEM motherboard then my friend has a melted 8pin cable I'm never trusting corsair CX ever again.
  12. This is my friend claiming that it arced due to misplug, I thought it was because he was retarded enough to use his 9590 on a motherboard that wasn't even compatible.
  13. Hiya everyone, I would like to ask what are the possible outcomes from my "experiment" with a Corsair CX750 power supply. So recently, my friend's 8-pin CPU cable from the power supply melted due to arcing. My friend managed to unplug by force the 8pin cable, but it is destroyed. I was wondering if we can cut the cable, place a new 8-pin socket to connect to the motherboard and use a cable extension to plug it into the motherboard. What could be the negative outcomes from this "experiment"? My friend does not currently have a power supply and he would like to use his 8320 and GTX 780TI as opposed to a Core 2 Quad and GTX 650. This is purely just to temporarely replace as a power supply, he's really low on money at the moment and he has everything we need to do this (8pin plastic connector, cable extension etc) FOR THE LOVE OF "insert name here" DO NOT EVER BUY A CORSAIR CX POWER SUPPLY THEY WILL KILL YOUR COMPONENTS!!! (my cx600 destroyed a i7 3770 with the OEM mobo and it still didn't work after changing to 970 chipset with fx 8320) EDIT: Friend claims it arced, I thought it was because of him being a retard for using a 9590 on a incompatible motherboard UPDATE 1: We used our mediocre soldering skills to solder back a plug that he had, we only soldered the 4 first pins and tried it on a pentium 4 computer : IT WORKS! IT BOOTED! UPDATE 2: We soldered the other 4pins for the 8pin 12v and we are currently stress testing a I5 4690K at 4.7ghz and 1.350v (runs at around 1.380) FINAL UPDATE: We stressed tested the power supply plugged in to my I5 4690K at 4.7ghz and my R9 290X overclocked for 2 hours and it works fine!
