  1. So I put together a new build recently. Using 8700k z370 Asus ROG Maximums X Wi-Fi and 16bg of G. Skill Trident Z RGB. I installed the Asus aura sync software and have my colors configured the way I like it. What I have noticed though is when I have my pc off and go to boot it up all my colors for the motherboard and the rgb strip are saved to my settings but the ram seems to go to the default G.Skill settings until I got Windows, then it loads to my preset. Might be a dumb question but is there a way for my ram to stay to what I set sigh off the bat on bootup (or even to the lights off till windows)
  2. Yea I have the case and a new system in it already, just wanting to upgrade the GPU now. The longer cards will fit if the fans are installed under the front panel but think they will be choked off too much that way plus no filter. Wanted the Evga 3 fan 1080ti, but will prob just end up going with the 2 fan SC2.
  3. Hey all wondering if you can help me out. I have the Fractal Design Define C TG. Looking at quite a long GPU (300mm) I use a Corsair H110i cooler. Fractal lists that GPUs as long as 315mm are supported in my case with front fans mounted. Now with an aio mounted up front the card won't fit, but if I move the fans to the outside of the case under the front panel the card should fit. This requires not running the dust filter up front along with my other concern of choking off the front airflow too much. Should I look at a slightly shorter GPU or would the fan configuration up front I mentioned be ok?
  4. Yea I'm figuring it's a software issue or user error as I am not very familiar with how to use it.
  5. Yes, from my motherboards support page under utilities.
  6. I recently upgraded to an 8700k and the Asus ROG Maximums X Wi-Fi ac motherboard and having some issues with Aura Sync I believe. I have 3 pieces of hardware that I believe should be manageable in Aura. Motherboard, G. Skill Trident Z RGB ram and 1 Cable mod Widebeam rgb strip. However in many video toturials I have watched of Aura I notice that there are two options for control on the upper left synchronized and independent mine is only showing the synchronized option so it's only allowing me to set everything to the same setting. Besides that when I go into Sync and try to say click the ram to change its settings it asks me if I want to save settings I click yes and then try to set it to a separate static color for example and it's gets set and kinda stuck the the default rainbow effect for Trident Z. I have to mess around with it and then can get everything set to a static color. Anyone with some extensive knowledge of Aura Sync that can help out?
  7. Ok yea I ran it but I didn't completely remove the cooler just loosened and straightened it out.
  8. I didn't think so, just super cautious about this stuff lol.
  9. So I installed my h110i onto my cup and my ocd noticed that the block was slightly crooked (barely but I noticed). I loosened the thumb screws and straightened it, that should not effect my application of thermal paste should it? Sorry if a dumb question but I always worry about thermal paste applications.
  10. Alright thanks. Guess my other question is will I notice a decent difference if I upgrade now from my 4690k? Should I upgrade coy, mobo and ram and keep the 980ti?
  11. Wouldn't be crossfiring anytime soon if ever. So long as I can overclock.
  12. Don't Ryzen use ddr4, so if need higher speed ddr4 correct? I've not really set one yet. I have some money so within reason budget is pretty open as long as I get a great pc.
