  1. Title basically says it all. I'm looking into the Audio Technica AD500x for gaming partly because the soundstage is great for games like CS:GO. However people say that the bass is pretty bad, is that true? How badly would it affect me when I listen to music or something like that? Thank you, Jettster
  2. Hello, I'm currently in a DESPERATE state for finding the best microphone for me and I really need some help. I've got a few mics lined up both with some pros and cons. I'm going to be using the microphone for podcasting, let's play, voice over etc. (also should say I have a decently low and bassy voice) but I've got a problem that I have a lot of background noise. Here are the options I'm looking at: Rode Podcaster Blue Yeti AT2020-USB Rode NT USB Please help me out, I'm desperately looking for advice here, thank you!
  3. Hello, I'm currently in the process of buying a new microphone and I'm wondering what the best microphone is for my situation. I'm gonna be using the mic for let's play commentary and podcasting, so generally just regular talking, nothing too special. I have a decent amount of background noise, both from my computer fan and mechanical keyboard and I've narrowed down my options to two. RODE Podcaster: I was planning to get the Podcaster because of the fact that it can isolate background noise well, and also because many people on the forums suggested I get one due to my considerably large amount of background noise. The only other cons I have with it is that it is very pricey and that many people complain about the sound reproduction. I sacrifice a bit (or a lot depending on the rumors I've seen) of a rich and full sound at the isolation of background noise. This is why I'm questioning if it's worth it still. Blue Yeti: I've had Blue mics before and they've done pretty well and many people highly recommend the Yeti because of it's rich and full sound quality (I also have a pretty deep voice, which I'm hoping one of these mics can accentuate well). However, my problem with this mic was that from what I hear it is VERY sensitive and will pick up anything around it. How sensitive is the microphone that it will ruin sound quality in real time use? And how hard is it to remove background noise without loss of quality in your voice either through sound editing programs or the gain knob on the mic itself. Other Contenders: AT2020 That's all I could find that most could recommend, but if you think there is a cheaper or amazingly better alternative within this range, please tell me. I look forward to opinions and advice!
  4. Hi, I'm currently looking into getting a good dynamic mic that isn't really overboard expensive. Currently I'm tempted to get the RODE Podcaster, but is there any other better dynamic mics that you guys could recommend around that price? Thanks for the help
  5. I was looking into mostly commentary, podcasts, and gaming commentary. It's funny to see these responses, all I've seen gamers use recently is condenser microphones
  6. Hello, So I'm currently looking for a new mouse to get to replace my classic Razer DA. With SteelSeries coming out with their new Rival, and Finalmouse having yearly releases (from what I can tell), which of the three would be best. I'm planning to use these mostly for FPS and maybe some other games as well that aren't FPS. If all the above options are pretty shitty, feel free to recommend any other product that might be good. Thanks
  7. Hello, So I'm currently in the process of getting my microphone replaced, but I'm not sure which microphone to get. My current preference right now is a cardioid condenser microphone that is USB. For a few years now, all I've heard most people brag about is the AT2020, while the Blue (which by the way, was the manufacturer I had before) Yeti was one that was also popular. But that was a few years ago. Is there anything topping the market right now that sounds really good, crisp, and quality? I have a somewhat bass/baritone voice, and usually I can't isolate background noise too well. Thanks for the help
  8. Hi, So at the current moment, I am using a pretty old edition of the Deathadder (I'm pretty sure Razer lists it as the DA Classic) and I was looking into switching. I'm mainly gonna be using this mouse for CS:GO, but maybe some other games too. However, I can't decide between Steel Series Rival 300 and Zowie EC2-A. What would you guys recommend, because while I do love SteelSeries (I've tried them before because the place I work at has a few Kinzu's, and the grip is pretty alright) I'm hearing amazing things about Zowie's sensors. My only concerns are really a good sensor and a good grip for a relatively big hand (my hand outstretched is about 8.5 in, or 215.9 mm) Thank you, Jettster
  9. Hello, So I've been doing some research because I'm trying to find some new headphones for gaming. I've narrowed it down to two options and I want to know what everyone would recommend. Sennheiser 598 http://en-us.sennheiser.com/audio-headphones-high-end-surround-sound-hd-598 or Audio Technica AD900X http://www.audio-technica.com/cms/headphones/996daf096c12ea16/index.html I apologize if I'm comparing crap to amazing or being incredibly stupid with these two headphone choices, I'm very new to headphones in general, I just want very high quality headphones for gaming If you have any better suggestions, please tell me, I would appreciate that very much. Thank you, Jettster
  10. Alright yeah, I made a mistake in saying headset. HEADPHONES is the better word to use here. So Sennheiser and AT are pretty good brands is what most/some here would agree on?
  11. So I'm currently looking into getting a gaming headset and I'm not really sure what manufacturer would be best. I've been eyeing Audio Technica and Sennheiser, but what are your favorites for headphones? I'm a big audiophile, so I'm trying to get the best, at a relatively cheap and not too bad price. Thanks, Jettster
  12. Hello, This has happened literally just now, right after I cleaned my computer; I had my microphone (USB Blue Spark Digital) on and it was working fine other than the fact that it was a little soft so I decided to plug it back in. However, when I tried to do that it didn't work on the port. It didn't work on any port, but every other device worked on the port. The only thing I noticed was different or may have happened was that the device's USB was a little loose or some dust may have gotten in there or something. Please someone help me, as I really want this to be fixed, this is like my only mic left Thank you, Jettster
  13. Hello, So this happened literally just now, but Windows 10 started installing on my computer. I've been trying to avoid it for a while so I was panicking to turn my computer off. The power button wouldn't work, so my last resort was to turn it off through the power supply. I'm now extremely worried that my computer won't work right or will be performing worse, so was this a safe move to do? Everything seems to be running fine now that it's back on, I didn't get a message saying Windows stopped working abruptly, all that I saw was my antivirus and Windows trouble shooting window when logging in. So is my computer safe and nothing is wrong? Thank you, Jettster
  14. While I would do that, sometimes the left speaker works just fine, meaning if it is working fine, the balance will be off.
  15. Hello, I know this is a common problem but I haven't really found any solutions to it. I have a Razer Kraken Pro that works when my wire has some kinks and curls in it. Unfortunately, when I try to unkink the wire and keep a direct line to the port, the left earphone becomes softer. I'm not sure if this is 100% the problem, as sometimes when I'm farther away the left earphone starts getting softer. Can anybody help me figure out what is happening and what I can do to fix this situation? Thank you, Jettster
