  1. Hey, at least your wallpaper/background isn't plain black.
  2. I'm glad you found this funny too. Imagine if someone doesn't know what they were doing and actually bought this thing...
  3. Haha, true, except that is 480 megaBITS, not megaBYTES (A byte is 8 bits so it's actually ~60 megabytes/s)Edit: I know this article is old... Maybe it's talking about this drive, haha http://www.techspot.com/community/topics/are-usb2-0-drives-really-480mbs.20196/
  4. To be honest I'm not sure it is, when I searched Amazon it said 3,600 rpm.
  5. So I was walking through Walmart earlier today.. And I saw something that caught my eye... This is a 2.5 GIGABYTE HARD DRIVE FOR $45 USD!!!!!! WOW... It gets worse when you look closer. "Was $85.96" Is that crazy or what? Pretty sure it's NOT a tipo either, i think it's just a really outdated item, not sure why Walmart even has it on the shelf. Anyone else seen anything like this? Share below because I thought this was hilarious. J. Martin
  6. Haha, thanks for the advice. I hadn't realized the FX-8's were not so good.I did make sure to get a chip that is compatible with the board
  7. Yeah, in the limited research I've been able to do it seems that AMD has more inexpensive end cpu's, whereas intel has higher end cpu's... Naturally me being a cheapskate I was wanting to go the AMD route, haha
  8. Cool, thanks for the suggestion. Sounds like I'm probably going to need to go with Intel then?
  9. Why do you say not to get an 8350?And yes, I'm definitely having a hard time finding a board, haha.
  10. I'm looking to upgrade a computer I bought on craigslist earlier this year, and to do that I would like to get an AMD 8350 w/ AM3+ socket. I've been looking around on Amazon and most motherboards with an AM3+ socket are ATX, and my current case would only support a micro-atx board. I've got my eye on two boards in particular. The first is the "ASUS Micro ATX DDR3 2000 AMD AM3+ Motherboard M5A78L-M/USB3" https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00DQO9L1Q/ref=cm_sw_r_other_awd_JSZewb8HTCFX4 But I was worried that the AMD 760G chipset wouldn't be a good match with the 8350 cpu. Also I'm assuming 1600 mhz ram would work fine, as the board supports 2000 mhz ddr3. The other board I had my eye on was "ASRock Micro ATX DDR3 1066 Motherboards 970M PRO3" https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00TOBQQTK/ref=cm_sw_r_other_awd_rWZewbEV9ZJNG This board supports a higher capacity ram, upto 64gb as opposed to 16. One big thing that worries me is that it says 1066 in the title, I'm not sure why it says that because I BELIEVE the board supports higher mhz RAM... But why don't they include the higher number in the title? Also would this chipset work better with the 8300? Or would I just be better off in the long run if I upgraded to a bigger case and an ATX board? Any tips are appreciated, as I said in the title this is my first build. Thanks, Jay
  11. Also if anyone has CPU suggestions that would be pretty awesome.. I'm worried my mobo is to old though
  12. So I'm looking to upgrade my cpu (I have an AMD sempron 140 w/ m2n68-la board) I was looking at compatible processors and decided to compare some here- http://cpuboss.com/cpus/AMD-Sempron-140-vs-AMD-Phenom-II-X4-955 I don't understand why the Phenom is only SLIGHTLY more powerful.. Even though it is quad-core... What am I missing here?
