thats just what they call the option for being able to choose between dedicated graphics or hybrid/optimus. Don't actually know what it stands for.
Like what pendragon said, it'll allows you to choose dedicated gpu only for better performance and gsync but at the cost of battery life in general, or use optimus for better battery life. Its just you'll need to reboot when switching between the two.
