  1. For those interested, I found another board with dedicated port: https://rog.asus.com/us/motherboards/rog-strix/rog-strix-b550-e-gaming-model/ (350$ newegg) https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/ROG-STRIX-B550-I-GAMING/ (300$ canada computers) At this price (300-350$ CAD) it's much better. It would even work for my Evo4 (since it's USB-C). But it'd be best to have two ports so I'll keep looking around!
  2. Yeah that's the issue lol. Hopefully we'll get more options soon with the 5000 launch!
  3. FYI Just found out that https://rog.asus.com/Motherboards/ROG-Crosshair/ROG-Crosshair-VIII-Hero-WI-FI-Model/ https://rog.asus.com/Motherboards/ROG-Crosshair/ROG-Crosshair-VIII-Formula-Model/ https://rog.asus.com/Motherboards/ROG-Crosshair/ROG-Crosshair-VIII-Hero-Model/ Offers TrueVolt with the X570 platform. Spending 500$ CAD only for that feature is kind of incredible, but looking at the only alternative (Intel side): https://www.canadacomputers.com/product_info.php?cPath=26_1842_1960&item_id=167969
  4. Getting a High Speed as spec'ed by the Evo 4 website would require High Speed and not Full Speed, it would be a bet to try. - https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B084BZ7PGF/?coliid=I2DWI5N4TROZCE&colid=1LB6UUG6D8U7N&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it - https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B07DLMZP5Y/?coliid=I16343R8HUYPG5&colid=1LB6UUG6D8U7N&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it I would need two, one for my USB DAC and another for my audio interface. As I already plan to upgrade, if a motherboard has that feature, it makes - to me at least - no sense to spend (at least 70*2) 140$+CAD over getting a new motherboard that I'd get anyway. I have hopes that Gigabyte or Asus would release new motherboards, but was checking if people heard anything regarding the subject.
  5. Hi, I was wondering if people have heard recent news about new boards that has some form of isolated USB ports, offered for example by Aorus and Asus - X470 AORUS ULTRA GAMING, X470 AORUS GAMING 5 & 7 - ROG CROSSHAIR VII HERO Namely, their "USB DAC-UP 2" and "TrueVolt" (respectively) features. Also MSI offered an "USB Audio Device" back then (Z97). I'm having annoying buzz and hum coming from my computer to HS5s and it's not the power supply of my PC (trying two other PSU brands and having the same issue) suggests that it would be my unshielded USB ports. My electricity (well the outlet) at home is well grounded and using an UPS didn't work (so I'm not having EMI/RFI issues), so I'm trying to see if I can get a motherboard that has this feature. I would like to upgrade my platform so this is why I'm waiting on a new motherboard that has this feature. If it just doesn't happen there's - iFi iSilencer+ A>A - iFi iPurifier3 - and many more expensive options Anyway, I hope we will be able to see new motherboards with that feature. Of course, I could ebay an AORUS GAMING X470, but I'd like to have an X570. To recap, any news on new boards that has isolated USB ports? Thanks! EDIT: I was planning on upgrading soon, hence asking about new motherboards.
  6. It seems pretty clear that you guys would keep it. If I was to upgrade? What would be the upgrade that would "make sense" compared to the performance of the 570?
  7. Hi, My card is running pretty hot in moba (Dota) and various games and I wonder what kind of card would be an upgrade to my 570. After seeing todays video: ... and made some research on various comparison websites, they seem equal and I can't tell if it's true or not. To be fair, my 570 still runs great, but runs really hot (it's 3-4 years old after all!) and I wonder if an upgrade would mean over 3-400? My PC: i7 4790K Gigabyte Z97X-UD5H-BK 16 GB Adata XPG Intel 730 in Raid0 (2 x 240GB) Corsair RM-750 PSU Thanks!

  10. Entering? Count me in! The cooler (and light strips) is what brought me here!
  11. Reducing load on wireless could be a solution, but they are watching netflix at the second floor so passing cables would be challengeful. Thank you for this response, i'll try to see if it is the saturated wireless that is causing the issue! I'll try to wire the ones that uses Netflix and see if it differs, thanks!
  12. Hi all, I experience problems when there are many devices connected to it. We have at home a DIR-855L and we have the following connected to it (maximum): 2x Desktop Computers (wired) 1x iMac (wireless) 3x Cellphones: 2 iPhones, 1 Windows Phone (wireless) 1x iPad (wireless) 2x Macbooks (wireless) 3x Laptops (wireless) 1x Xbox (wired) 1x Printer (wireless) First problem: Multiple devices handling Most of the time, Theses are connected all at the same time: Desktop (mine, Windows), 3 cellphones, 2 laptops (1 MacBook Pro and Dell Vostro, both wireless) and Printer (HP 6980). At this point (most of the time), I experience slowdown randomly and everytime it happens (at least once per week) I need to reboot the router entirely. Yes, I tried to directly connect to modem and it works as it should. However when someone comes in with his iPad, Macbook, iPhone and they watch a movie on Netflix, I must close to always reset the router. Always as it just can't handle it (wireless MacBook Pro). I'm wondering if it is a router issue or that there's just too much to handle? The IT guy at my job told me he had a TP-Link Archer AC1750 and had 8 roomates and no problem. Comparing the two (Archer and my router) is like comparing a motherboard or a graphics card to me, so I have no chance to know if it is because D-Link handles poorly many devices or what. Second problem: iDevices that fails to connect or just gets kicked by the router and there's no log about it. I updated today from 1.02 to 1.03, but am still wondering what can I check when the slowdown happens. Thanks for your support!
  13. Hey Guys, Was wondering if You had thoughts on the following rig update: From: Intel i7 920 2.66 OC 3.8 (degraded over years...) EVGA X58 3SLI Motherboard GSkill Sniper 12 GB Triple channel ram Thermaltake Thoughpower Modular PSU 750w Corsair h100i Liquid Cooler EVGA GTX 570 (I don't game heavily) Crucial M4 Ssd 240gb Antec 1200 case (original one) Into (the psu, gpu and ram would remain the same): Raid 0 Intel 730 SSD 240gb (Bought) Intel 4790K (Bought) NZXT H440 Razer (for its colors over the other available, not because its razer I have Ducky and Logitech peripherals) UNSURE: Gigabyte Z97X UD5H: I would take this one over:) or Asus Z97-AR (my priorities in order: Longevity (I kept my EVGA mobo since came out without RMA), Features and Look. So mainly my questions are: 1- Ram will be ok in my z97? 2- Thoughts on motherboard for Z97 (my requirements specified above + Need PCI for my Audiophile 192) 3- Other thoughts Thanks a lot and looking forward your answers!
