Hey guys,
So I bought a Nikon D3200 2 years ago in a very impulse buy when I was on vacation. I realized how much I loved videography and now make loads of videos on it. I bought a AF-S DX NIKKOR 35mm F1.8G lens recently and really like it.
But for video, I feel like Canon or Sony are much better options, and with my first short film project coming up, I was wondering if I should upgrade.
I can sell all my gear and I will then have US$1100 to spend on a camera and lens. I feel like moving away from Nikon is the right move.
Should I sell my Nikon related gear (2 kit lenses and 1 extra lens), and look for an alternative? I was thinking the Sony A6300.
Or should I invest ~US$300 into lighting, better microphone etc.
I have a Nikon D3200, 18-55 Non-VR Kit, The kit zoom lens (i never use it) and the previously mentioned 35mm F1.8. I own a cheap $20 mic that works ok, no lighting and 2 sets of ND and polarizing filters.
Thanks!
