    NEEWER has a decent $13 mic boom arm. And I'd go with the Yeti since it has four patterns.

    Hey there,   The plan is pretty enthusiastic. I would research more on what your gaming and editing would use more (the CPU, single GPU or multiple GPUs) and then decide on these parts. With that kind of budget I would consider some redundancy in the build. Probably a RAID configuration with WD Red drives ( http://products.wdc.com/support/kb.ashx?id=UifhcE) that provides both a speed boost and some redundancy. You could also consider a larger SSD, depending on what exactly do you need from your storage.   Captain_WD.

    Yea dual 980ti for 1080p 60hz surround is so overkill.

    If you are editing 1080p, you probably want a higher the 1080p monitor so you can work with native resolution while still having the surrounding UI for the editing software.

    It will but it's going to be super marginal. Only added GPU accelerated effects will utilize the GPU so two isn't really going to net you extra performance.
