  1. So i can ditch the ODD completely then and not have any issues? Because i pre ordered Flalout 4 Pipboy Edition and i didn;t know if i needed one or if itll come with a download key along side of the physical copy of the game.
  2. I like the look of both of those cases and teh reviews are very positive. However, they don't have any front 5.25" bays for something like optical Drives. I planned on including one, but are they as important anymore these days? i heard that they're becoming 'outdated.' I'm very new to the PC side of gaming and i needed to know if new releases like Fallout 4 come with a physical disc like console games do? Or will they come with a code i can enter into Steam? If so, then i might ditch the optical drive entirely
  3. Im working on building my first gaming PC and i need help with the power supply I want at least a Semi-Modular PSU or even a full if possible within my price range (including rebates). For my PC, Im trying to keep around 800 - 850 USD. Any recommendations? PC Part Picker List of my parts i have decided on; http://pcpartpicker.com/p/j66CQ7
  4. I took a look at those cards and did some research and read reviews and it looks promising. However, i saw some reviews claiming it is a 'bigger' card and may not fit in the case. I planned on using the Corsair SPEC-03. Do you, or anyone else, know if that card will fit? Also, I heard that AMD GPU's run at a higher temp than nVidia. I don't have any plans to OC so will i be ok just running the 390 normally? Im not the most tech savvy guy out there
  5. So I'm building mt first gaming PC and i have just about have the list the way i want, but I'm always bouncing back and forth between GPU's. The two i have in mind are the following; MSI GTX 970 Gaming 4GB (link) EVGA GeForce GTX 970 4GB ACX 2.0 (link) Considering I'm on a budget, I'm leaning more towards the MSI 970
  6. I live in the United States and I'm picking parts to build my first Gaming PC. I want to keep my budget around $850 USD including an OS. I only plan on using one monitor for the time being, but adding another monitor is something I might end up doing. Thoughts on my current parts list? I'm having trouble picking a PSU and a MoBo along with wireless connectivity options. I wanted the option to connect to WiFi because I live with my family and it's optimal given my current state of living. Items with a star next to them are ones that I'm not fully committed to at the moment. I want to be able to play games with on a decent quality (Med. - High) but with stable FPS such as Fallout 3/NV/4, Portal 1/2, Left 4 Dead 2, CS:GO, TESV, Boishock 1/2/Inf, etc. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/mtpRxr CPU: Intel Core i5 - 4460 3.2 GHz CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO *MoBo: MSI Z97-Gaming 3 ATX LGA1150 Memory: Corsair Vengeance 16GB ( 2 x 8GB ) Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 7200RPM Video Card: Gigabyte GeFroce GTX 750Ti WINDFORCE 2GB *Case: Fractal Design R4 ( Black Pearl ) *PSU: EVGA 500W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Optical Drive: Asus DRW-24B1ST/BLK/B/AS DVD/CD Writer OS: Windows 7 Home Premium *Wireless Network Adapter: TRENDnet TEW-805UB 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ USB 3.0 WiFi Adapter Any help and advice is greatly appreciated. This is also my first time building a computer too. Thank you in advanced
  7. WARNING: NOOB QUESTION Is a LAN Port on a mother board the same as an Ethernet Port? I am rather new to the computer side of things and I cannot find a straight answer. Forgive my lack of knowledge
