  1. i'v never heard any coil whine, in any PSU/GPU i've ever purchased, also in this video he says nothing on how "extream FPS can cause this", just certain loads or stress drawing different power delivery loads can cause this. also 60-75 FPS looks like trash, like a 50+ response time panel, when you are use to 140+ like all the time, anything 100 or below just isnt "buttery smooth" anymore. -Thanks for the help!
  2. i will check gpu software settings. also the "coil whine" you are referring to can u explain what you mean by this and how more FPS would cause this? -Thanks for the help!
  3. moving forward i will check threads individually. I always set every game to unlimited frames. -Thanks for the help!
  4. i did update ram, 32gb 2800. forgot to add that xDD. but yes moving forward i will check threads individually. also not familiar with the "OSD" reference. (maybe on screen display?) finally what do you mean by "flash those games up"? -thanks for the help!
  5. Ok so first off gonna say how much i hate forums, as like most forums one mention off topic, people have to prove there point of w/e the off topic comment was, then before you know it the poster's original issue never gets answered/addressed. So please everyone, if it has nothing to do with the post or is an opinion fabricated from 6 months of tech knowledge please move along. Not trying to be a @#$!% but JS you know who you are. moving along.... Before getting into it keep in mind i am only in 1080p but everything is always set to the highest settings with Msaa never really going more then 4x Specs: Nvme m.2 Boot drive (win 10) 1tb m.2 (used for all game storage) z270 Asrock Taichi i7 7700k OC 4.7Ghz H110i GT cooled 32GB 2800 ram 1080 TI Reference OC 1950 ish (boost sometimes, along with load moves this OC up and down some. Never reaching over 70c) 1000w Gold+ Vampire (was like the only decent priced White PSU i could find. Also Note: All games freshly downloaded, Fresh OS install, and latest Drivers from Nvida. So the problem i have is my GPU in some games (like; LOL, H1z1, HOTS, Dirt Rally, just to name a few) i notice my GPU usage at like 10-30% while pulling acceptable frames (100-130 FPS). While in other games, (like; Overwatch (200+ fps), ashes of the singularity (145+ fps) battlefield 1 (150+), to name a few) i am seeing 75% to even some consistent 90% usage. The question here is, why do some games only use that 10-30% and give me low 100 fps. Also why does my GPU not ramp up to 90% ++ on every game i have and push frames as far as possible. The only games that ever pushes my CPU over 60% is Overwatch and BF1. To weed out some of the preliminary post of "ohh the human eye cant tell over 60", go home Linus has made a video on this disproving it, and i myself as well as other gamers can tell the difference between 200 and 100. Also i know some games are not "optimized" which is kinda like the scapegoat every one uses to explain low fps. (like H1z1) Furthermore i know bottlenecks can be causing some of the problems on some games, but with my set up and considering my CPU only ever reaches 60% + on games that do 150fps+ i cant see that i have a bottleneck. If anyone has any information as to why my gpu sits on it's butt and pulls low fps on some games and decides to work it butt of in other please, let me know.
  6. Okay so my computer/OS is automatically muting or lowering my line in volume to 0. It's completely random, don't matter what programs i am using. I have changed to different Mic input devices, have tried un-installing and re-installing my audio drivers; restarting my computer, virus scan. I need help driving me nuts, my OS is windows 10. Another question. Windows 10.... A bigger virus then Windows Visa? Let me know your thoughts. LOL Thanks in advance.
  7. That program shows the identical Voltages. It also shows a "AI" Volatge. which matches the Voltage i have put in for my CPU voltage. So this program dose confirm my suspicions, that the CPU is not utilizing all the voltage that i am applying to the cup.... how do i change this in my bio? Evga MOBO
  8. Can u explain what "LN2" is? Like i posted i consider my self a novice when it come to OC. Thanks!
  9. My cpu-z only shows 1.275v usage. so i don't think that i am using 1.35v at all. maybe i need to know what settings to use in my bios to get my cpu to actually receive the Voltage that i am applying. Then maybe i can achieve a higher OC to 4.7 or more?
  10. I need help overclocking my i7 4790k further than 4.62 Ghz at this over clock i am stable, ran p95 for 2 hours never broke 68c I find my self to be a novice overclocker, and am in need of some help to go even further. I currently can start my rig in 4.7 open apps ect. but when i run p95 i lock up. I am open for some changes in what i need to do to go further, i want to maybe get over 6.7 if possible. -Thanks Rigg i7 4790k Corsair hg110i gt cooled Evga z97 mobo 16 gig ram 1600 evga Geforce GTX 970 ftw+ x2 ssd Current OC setting Core speed 4.62 Ghz Multiplier x46.0 (8-46) Bus speed 100.23 MHZ Core voltage 1.35V (note cpu-z only shows 1.275V) This may be a reason why i can not go higher, i do not believe my cpu is utilizing all the voltage that i am allocating to it.
  11. I dont know if this as been answered for you yet, seeing how it has been about a month and a half since ur post. 1scotty1 asked this. And yes all reference cards. That say that so they wont have to list the long list of MFG of the 970, or all the different versions of super clocked, FTW, top secret, ect u get the idea. So basically HG10 N970 fits all 960 cards and all 970 cards.
  12. all good input guys thanks so much!
  13. yes only 1 EVGA GTX 970 FTW, which comes over clocked. Every time I tired my normal over clocks with my gpu they failed, all tho i never have those problems gaming, I am also using Kboost when i ran this. I have my CPU over clocked a little like 4.3 form 4.0
