  1. I'm gaming with it. But why should I buy more RAM, I've got a total 16GB RAM (4x4 GB RAM-Sticks). Or do you mean more mHz? Because my CPU doesn't support more than 1333mHz. So you suggest keeping the hardware, but I still want to know how much is it still worth?
  2. At the moment I'm thinking about upgrading some of my hardware, but that depends on how much it will cost me, if I get some money back by selling the old stuff. So I want to upgrade my CPU, the RAM and my mainboard (maybe my case aswell, but I'm not sure). Mainboard: ASUS ROG Maximus IV Extreme(-Z (I'm not quiet sure, I'll look this up) Processor: Intel i7 2700-K Ram: GeIL Corsa 4x4GB 1333mHz Case: Cooler Master Storm Enforcer (some parts are repainted and I exchanged the fans) What do you think I, how much money would I get, if sell those parts? Or would you wait with upgrading the hardware? (My GPU is a R9 390)
  3. Hello, I'm looking for some Bluetooth speakers for my room. But I can't decide whether I should buy a portable speaker, which costs more and use it also in my room or if I should buy some bluetooth speakers for my room and a cheaper portable speaker. Both kind of speaker should have clear sound and deep bass and they should have Bluetooth, it would be nice if the portable speaker would be waterproof and a little bit shock resistent. Which speaker/s would you recommend? And would you buy separate speakers or would you buy a more expensive one? Edit: I want to spend around 100€/$.
  4. Hello, I'm planning on tweaking my graphics card a bit. I want to achieve my card running as quiet and as cool as possible, therefore I thought about lowering the VDDC, therefore undervolting the gpu. Are there any dangers in lowering the VDDC, can I harm my card? I already googled a little bit, most people said there are no dangers, but I think here are competent people. I also want to optimize the fan curve. What do you recommend? Which curves do you use? I'm using Sapphire Trixx. Thanks, Martzel
  5. Since a lot of you recommend the Sapphire and it was available with a backplate for 333€, i bought the Sapphire. Thank you for all the answers, this card is just awesome and literally cool. But when I'm AFK and my monitors turn off my desktop icons aren't in the same order, when I'm reactivating them. Does someone know, why this happens?

  7. I can't decide between the MSI and the Sapphire. I may overclock my card and a backplate looks just awesome and the overall looks of the MSI are better. But the Sapphire has a massive heatsink. And a nice PCB? The MSI has two DVI-D, one DisplayPort and one HDMI, which sums up to 4 connectors in total. The Sapphire has three DisplayPort (which I personally prefer), one HDMI and one DVI-D, which sums up to 5 connectors in total. Like I said I prefer DisplayPort but is really better than DVI-D? And how does it look like Hertz wise?
  8. Hello, I'm thinking about buying a R9 390, but I'm not sure which manufacturer I should choose. I'm tending to Asus or MSI, but they're the most expensive ones, are they the extra cost? Thank you, Martzel
  9. I guess I'll mount some fans like this so they're blowing fresh air through the case. Should look like this:
  10. Do you have an idea how I could achieve this, and keep a clean look? If I put fans in the bottom the air will be pushed into where the motherboard is through the cable-holes, do you think this would be enough?
  11. But do I still need airflow, where the mainboard is?
  12. So here's another point of view: And here's a 2D view: There's a board between where the fans are and where the mainboard etc. will be. The hot air will be exhausted on the right side of the case. The tubing will go through holes in the board.
  13. So I'm planning on building a custom desk over the summer holidays, and I want my PC to be a part of it, so I downloaded SketchUp (thank you @Abel225) and made a 3D model of how I want it. An overall look: An heres a closer pic with text where the parts should go: I want to watercool the system, as you may see the radiator will be sitting in the top to keep the heat out of the case. By the way I'll put some mesh and dust filter in front of the fans, I'll also lift the PSU so it can get fresh air. But do I still need some airflow where the parts are? Do you have some other things you would/I should improve? I'll maybe upload some more pictures later.
  14. So I didn't buy the used one. Can't I just buy one for the R9 280? Basically they're almost the same card right?
  15. Are waterblocks for the HD7970 still available? Because I can't find new ones. What do you mean by foreign organisms? Even if you buy a new waterblock you should leak-test it. Therefore there should be no difference.
