  1. I have looked into Rmx/Rmi PSUs. I found ~2014 reviews on jonnyguru (I trust their reviews the most in regards to PSUs). It seems like more recent units start to outperform them (?). Sadly they don't have many recent reviews from bequiet (maybe because they haven't had new units out in a while?). I'm particularly looking at the straight power 10 500W, because it hits my pricepoint, and I heard good things about the fan they use.
  2. First of all, thanks for your answers. I am extremely sorry I was unable to reply earlier (had a busy week). What quiet PSUs would you recommend me to add to my comparison? In the review I linked the fan on the 750W version stayed off at 300-400W, which would likely be my usage, right? I used some online calculator and it came up with around 500W psu as a recommendation (I guess they rather slightly overestimate, so I figured 550W should be fine). Price difference would be 10-15€ so not significant. Do you have any particular unit in mind when thinking of a quiet PSU?
  3. Hey guys, I've decided to finally put some money towards a quality PSU. I put my main specs into the title, if you need more info let me know and I'l be happy to provide My research has found a couple units I would consider: Corsair TX750M (http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&op=Story&reid=528): has no semi-fanless mode though Seasonic Focus Plus 750 (http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&op=Story3&reid=524): I like that the fan stays of for quite long Seasonic Focus Plus 550 (http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&op=Story4&reid=529): Maybe this is enough though? I could save a couple bucks, and the unit seems solid EVGA SuperNOVA g3 750W (http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&op=Story6&reid=500): Most expense of the pack, but maybe worth it? I'd like the PSU to stay quiet, but I don't need it to stay fanless all the time. Any particular points pro/con or competition to these in the ~100 $/€ market? If I stay indecisive I will check if any of these go on sale soon and buy the cheapest one... Thanks for your help
  4. You could try removing the troubled hdd from the system and then attaching it using a sata-to-usb cable to try and get your data off that way.
  5. The 770 are closed the 990 open, I think the 880s are supposed to be semi-open and have the most neutral sound of the three, but they are also quite a bit more expensive, so I didn't put much research into them Comfort is the same across all, since they share the same earcups. When I read reviews it was mostly a "love it or hate it" thing with these, so I don't know which group you belong to I'll personally take the chance though, and I'm positive that I will indeed love them.
  6. Have you had a look at beyerdynamic? The 770/990s are available in up to 600 Ohms, oversized velour-earpads and from what I read good sound (although not perfectly neutral). I'll pick myself up a pair of 990s when I have the money, they are around 140€ for me.
  7. I can manage the 990s, and I'm sure they are the better product, but what I'm not sure about is how much better, as they cost 3,5x more. I've decided for open because I want a large soundstage/surround feel/immersion. I will also not use these on-the-go. I have no particular prefered genre of music that they have to perform in, I just want overall good sound/value. I will also be gaming with these. Thanks for the fast response
  8. Hey guys, today I've got a question to you audio-enthusiasts out there: I'll be getting a pair of headphones and I can't quite decide if I should just get the 668Bs from superlux, which are said to give quite amazing value (sound/price) or if it is worth the extra buck to get a pair of beyer dt 990 pros (are these good for the price?) Thanks a lot, Tyrius
  9. Maybe something competitive to cloud 2s? the 770 are really stretching it for me... BTW which of those is the "best"? They seem very similarly priced...
  10. What headphones would you recomment for gaming (comfort over longer periods of time being a major point here).
  11. Not sure why this is comparing a 1070. I'm interested in this question as well, keep the opinions coming pls
  12. Ok, first of all thank you for the replies so far I'd be thankful for more advice on headphones in this pricerange, I'm not well informed about that market at all EDIT: These will be used mainly for gaming, but also for listening to so musik.
  13. Hello kind people of the internets. Quickly about where I'm coming from: I'm noone who is used to good/high quality audio equipment, I'm coming from the "best" 20€ headset I could find at the time. I'm looking to get a decent upgrade in the range to about 100€ and of course I ended up looking at the cloud II and the logitech g430. Now to my question: I'm favouring the cloud 2 right now, mainly because of the much praised comfort (I'm wearing glasses). Are they good for the price? Or are there comparably priced solutions with better performance? (same price better headset, or lightly lower priced headphones with better sound) As I mentioned, I'll probably be happy with the sound of any decent device, compared to what I'm coming from, I just want to make sure I'm not needlessly spending my money on a product that has inferior back-for-buck compared to something else EDIT: These will be used mainly for gaming, but also for listening to so musik. Regards Tyrius
  14. It really looks like a great starter mechanical keyboard, but I can't find it anywhere, neither amazon.de nor at any other german shop
  15. Sorry I didn't reply earlier, I had a busy week The QPAD is the most interesting to me, it's about 80€ at a store I've had good experiences with. The Cooler Master is hard to find in any store I would buy from. The Fnatic comes in at about 120€, but as it's backlit I can understand the premium. I have however not found a lot of buyer reviews, while the QPAD has a lot of good responses. The G710+ is not as clean as I'd like the layout to be, but the price (~100€) is not bad, so I'll also consider it. Lastly the Roccat: It's 150€+ so I think price/performace it's not as good as it competitors. Looking up these keyboards I learned a lot about what is out there and what I actually want, so thanks a lot For now the QPAD is my front runner, but I'm still thankful for more suggestions!
