  1. Can anybody help me out with an issue im having on my rig. My computer was giving me issues with internet so I fresh installed Windows 10 onto it and everything works fine except my internet speeds are extremely slow. My normal speeds are 12mbps download, but for some reason the download is capped at around 0.5mbps. I have tried reinstalling windows, updating lan driver and testing the Ethernet on my laptop (normal speeds) . Anybody know what could be causing this?. Also my motherboard is a Gigabyte z170x gaming 3
  2. I have a price range of about $800 and I am looking for a new gaming laptop and have narrowed the gpu down to a used 970m laptop for around $700, or I can spend $150 more and get a brand new Gtx 1050 laptop. Which would perform better in gaming?
  3. I just got my hands on a R7 370 and I need a processor and motherboard to go along with it, but this is only a project build so i am trying to spend the least amount of money as possible. I can pick up a i3 3220, motherboard, and 4gb of ram for $30. Would that cpu work well with the 370 or would it be a big bottleneck? Thanks for any help
  4. I just received a lot of Christmas money, and got a blue yeti and nice headphone stand, and now I just need to upgrade my headphones from my shotty g430 headset. I have a budget of around $130, and would like to use the headset for competitive gaming on csgo, and for immersion in other games like fallout and battlefield. I have looked at the HD 598 (Were nice, but lacked bass for immersion, would a e10k with bass boost help this), the AD900x (But some people say the wing headband design is uncomfortable), and the DT990 Pro 250ohm (But a lot of people say they fatigue your ears very fast). Of these three, or others, which would be the best for hearing footsteps, and for the best immersion in adventure and rpg games? Thanks for any help
  5. I am finishing my basement with walls and everything soon, and I am going to be having lan parties down there as well as using my xbox on my tv, and I had a question about networking switches and routers as I am a noob. So I have an ethernet cable running from my router upstairs down to the corner in the basement where my lan party desk will be, but I only have 1 ethernet cable. Now I have read that I can buy a network switch and convert the 1 cable into 5 ports without limiting and internet speed, correct? But I also want to make sure I have good wifi down there for my friends and I's phones, so I was wondering if I could just buy a second router, plug an ethernet from my upstairs router into my new router downstairs, and use that as a access point for like 3 computers, and also as a wifi range extender? Thank you for any help
  6. For Christmas I'm getting a pair of ad900x for competitive gaming, immersive gaming, and listening to music on my computer. I currently have a gigabyte z170x gaming 3 motherboard, but my 5.1 surround sound system is plugged into my motherboard, and my front audio ports are extremely fuzzy if I plug headphones into them. I understand the ad900x are bass light, but what's a good soundcard, amp, or DAC for around $100 or less that I should pair these with to increase the bass a little bit (would the e10k's bass boost help a little?), and to maximize their sound quality and gaming experience. Thank you for any help.
  7. Thanks for the help, I decided to go with the AD900x. As for a better audio source, I have a Gigabyte Z170x Gaming 3 Motherboard. Would these benefit at all from a soundcard, amp, or dac, or is my motherboard fine? Thanks again
  8. I am asking for a pair of headphones for christmas and I have limited it down to the sennheiser HD 598 (I have tried my friends and they are very comfortable and sound nice, but they have almost no bass, and I enjoy bass for immersion), the Beyerdynamic DT 990 Pro (250ohm or 32 ohm?), and the Audio Technica AD900x. I will be using these for mainly CSGO competitive, Battlefield 1, Fallout, and other RPGs, so I need a good soundstage for CSGO, but I would also like a fun headphone for immersion in other games. For music, I listen to mostly Hip Hop and Rap, so I would like headphones that excel in that genre also. Which of these 3 headphones, or others, would be the best balance of those for around $150? Also what DAC or Amp would you recommend for these? Thank You for any help.
  9. For Christmas my family needs to know what I want pretty fast, and I want a pair of audiophile headphones for fps gaming and music, but I'm stuck between some. I will be playing primarily csgo competitive, battlefield 1, and RPGs like witcher so a large soundstage is very important, and for music I listen to hip hop and rap mostly, so I prefer bass in my sound, but I would like clarity too and not sound like beats. I would also prefer a removable aux cord if possible. For under $200, what's the best set of headphones that can accomplish this? I have been looking at the HD 598s, ad900x, m50x, sennheiser game one, dt990 pro, and the beyerdynamic custom one, but am open to other suggestions. Without any way to personally test these, what do you guys reccomend for my scenario? Thanks for any help
  10. So for the past 2 weeks or so I have been getting a message whenever I startup my PC saying your windows license will expire soon, and I bought this PC from Craigslist so I'm not sure if the windows was authentic but it was activated and showed a key. I figured after the date I would just see the activate windows water mark, but when I tried to boot up my PC today its boots to windows setup like I'm installing windows. Can someone please help, I don't want to lose all my stuff
  11. Do the game ones sound the same as the 598s? If so would it be better to just find the 598s on sale for $100 and buy a snowball for $50?
  12. Im looking for a pair of sub $200 headphones/headset for competetive gaming (csgo), music, and movies. I think I have narrowed it down to the sennheiser game one, the hyperx cloud 2, and the hd 598s. Of the three (or any other suggetions), which would be the most comfortable, best for hearing footsteps, and for overall game immersion? I am currently using a Logitech G430 with the included usb sound card and it is quite shotty, so looking for an upgrade. Thanks for any help
  13. I mostly want a racing style one because of the high back and headrest, because I always slouch in my chair now so I can rest my head but I know this is bad for my back
  14. For christmas I am going to ask for a gaming chair for my desk as the one I have now is broken and worn out. I would like to spend around $200, but $250 is the max if \ its really worth it. I would like a racing style chair like a DxRacer but those are very expensive. My color theme is black and red, so a chair in those colors would be best. What's the best chair I can get for around that price that's comfortable, stylish, and will last a long time? I am 5'10 190lbs if that matters. Thanks for any help
  15. I came across a $20 never used Petinum G3420 on craigslist today, and was wondering if its decent enough for a light gaming htpc if I paired it with like a rx 460, or if its very dated and will bottleneck a decent gpu. Also, is $20 a good value for this cpu?
