In my opinion, for some individuals, it's necessary if they are deemed too dangerous to have on the loose. However for most people, a rehabitation is a much better option, for both the imprisoned individuals, and society as a whole: if they are willing to redeem themselves, let them have a chance and they could become a functioning part of society again. Unfortunately this doesn't work for everyone, though then I wouldn't know if it would be better to leave them in prisons or send them to mental hospitals. That being said, prisons here are more luxurious than what low-income citizens live with.

It's not really that cold, and dark winters shouldn't be a problem. The climate is pretty mild. What is a problem though, is the economy, job availability, and people: they are often overly nationalistic, xenophobic, attention whores for thinking they are some special snowflakes (spoiler: they are not), and barely have knowledge what's happening outside of their little bubble.

An adapter to mount a 3,5" HDD to a 5,25" bay just arrived. The HDD on the right (2TB Seagate drive) will be installed when I have time and energy... that is: not today.

In sauna, not shower. 90°C in shower would make burns on one's skin. Also good luck getting running water to be that hot... There's a difference.

I guess it's a given when there's some warm and relaxing place where one just usually stays there for a while. I personally don't think much about life in shower, and I'm there for 3 minutes at most. Instead, I think about life in sauna, so majority of the time will be spent there instead. Though only in 60°C to 80°C, which according to men here, is considered a temperature for "whimps". I'm no elitist who demands above 90°C temperatures...

Lived in the same country all of my life (to a point where I have never been abroad in my life, not even traveling). And been stuck in the same small village in middle of nowhere for all that time, where there is nothing but an annoying youth population. Trying to save up for move, the keyword being "trying". Eventually, possibly after 6 years or later, might bail this country.

The seller only rarely pays for postal; most of the time, you just add the shipping costs on top of the price of the product, which depending on size and weight will usually be anywhere between 4€ and 20€. Most of the time I have seen 8€ and 10€ price tags on shipping, though. It costs about as much as it does for shipping from any real store, and the postal services are a bit on the pricier end here (the joys of having just one postal company, a monopoly). No, robbery isn't the politically correct term, it sounds too criminal. More proper terminology would be... *khrm*... "Transfer of certain valuable goods without the holder(s) having a say in it." or "Confiscating goods on an unofficial authority." Know what terminology to use on a public front.

All I'd say is: don't try your luck. It's better to leave even the slightest things out of here. We don't need mods to come here again because of that.

I think talking about it is fine, but don`t post any NSFW images. To add to this: just because it's labeled "safe for work" somewhere (like Safebooru), doesn't mean it is on this forum. Google AdSense is really tight-ass about it.

Im going to buy all my pC parts from ebay from now on Starting to buy PC parts as used and/or refurbished from now on? Welcome to my life; nowadays I buy everything I can as used. When it comes to PC hardware and other tech, about 1 out of 10 items are bought new. The rest are used. My intentions are not to be more ecologically friendly (though that's an unintended bonus), It's all just due to... lack of funds, for a lack of better word. Though, even if money wasn't an issue, I'd continue buying most stuff as used. I'm used to it, to a point where buying most things as new feels weird. Even non-tech stuff. It's not like actions of a single person affect the environment in the slightest... Keeps the eco-hippies away, though.

An adapter to use old M42 mount lenses on EF/EF-S mount cameras. Has an AF-confirm chip. Too bad this particular adapter is either not for M42 mount lenses, or the lens I have refuses to get screwed in due to it either not being an actual M42 mount lens or being too worn on the mount. Judging by the smoother thread on the adapter, I'd guess I got fooled or I screwed up myself for picking a wrong adapter (the mounting thread looks identical, the adapter is a little too small to fit).

It sounds like it'll just be a matter of time before they bypass whatever you've "allowed" and just go ahead and do it anyway. Meanwhile, still waiting for the adapter to mount my new HDD to arrive (postal is being slow, as usual), after of which dropping Windows for Linux. And because of this, I have not bothered to update the temporary Windows 8 (not 8.1) install... ever. Yes, that's about 1,4GB of updates pending, and never updated. Also not running any anti-virus software... Don't do this at home, kids. I wonder if that OS would run on early 2000's laptop that struggled to run even Windows XP... Damn Small Linux and Lubuntu refuse to install on it. lol Just scroll a few pages back, and you should find @DigitalHermit's post of it. (and when I say few, I mean less than 10 pages, not hundreds like it usually means on this thread) Quite appropriately I saw these posts of yours about these comics, just a few minutes after I was searching for jobs in the local area... A coincidence? The situation remains the same, though: if I don't move, the number of positions I could apply to is 0 (and a whopping 3 if I had all the corresponding degrees they require). The catch is: According to Discord's Terms of Service, they have all the right to use everything posted on there without permissions: quotes, images, personal information... At least that's what I heard on Discord from someone (an admin on some channel) who (allegedly) read the full ToS. But since this is not confirmed by a more trusted party and the fact that this is coming from me, take it with a grain of Sodium Chloride.

Dat resolution. Any clue if it's stitched together from multiple images (probably, because it definitely looks too wide to be 3:2 aspect ratio), or from a single shot? Though I doubt it would be, as not even 50MP resolution of Canon 5Ds would be enough. Dunno about that 100MP camera Phase One announced some time ago, though... Get gud, skrub.
