and now a bunch of forum mebers are going apesh…

"Our little garden"... Heh... I suppose it is a small area of land, but with huge amounts of stuff buried underneath it as time has passed. Either that, or it's a realm of its' own; a world within a world. Completely dependent on the existence of the outside, yet goes mostly beneath notice by those in the outside.

Since when haven't they gone apeshit? With more people comes more stupidity, and LTT is large enough for hordes of idiots to exists inside this little community by now.
  4. Oh joy... -30°C outside, and have to wait at bus stop for 25 minutes if the bus is late (it will be)...

  5. yea im hearing stories where people won like 6 matches in a row and were top fragger and lost 1 match and deranked. bs if you ask me Not that rank means anything but easy deranks just put people down nobody wants that. That said before it was almost impossible to drank. I remember losing 10 games back to back and didn't get demoted (played with a full team of 5, 3 silvers who never played didn't shut up and stomped around like they had cinder blocks attached to their feet {it's OK to be bad but being loud and blocking people is seriously annoying } that said I got some good names for my guns out of it ) that is pretty generous. So pretty much no progression is to be had in CS:GO competitive? All the more reason for me to not get into it then, I guess... Or I should start playing it just to implement this workout... :
  6. I'm not really into dodgeball, but could be something we could do. Randomizer is also quite fun, especially if in addition to randomizer, there's TF2 x10 mod... Then there's stuff like Vs. Saxton Hale / Freak Fortress 2, which is like Slender, but instead of actively avoiding the player playing as the sole member of the opposing team, the goal is to kill that person, which won't be easy. Couldn't find any better demonstration video, but will do: Most bosses are pretty much the same as Hale, only with different skin and voice. There are some with different abilities and health + speed, though, even some that come with 2 players instead of one.

That feeling when you go from walking outdoors…

It feels burning just to get inside (about +20°C) from that cold outdoor temperatures... And as if 40°C temperature variance wasn't enough, lets double that. :D My fingers and ears felt like they were burning.
  8. That feeling when you go from walking outdoors for about half an hour at -24°C to indoors and straight to +70°C sauna within 2 minutes...

  9. Surfing is not really difficult... (Says a person who cheats on TF2 surf servers with a Rocket jumper to gain extra velocity... lol) There's a few good F2P games. I remember Loadout being fun while it lasted, not sure if anyone is playing it anymore, though. Blacklight: Retribution was another good one, though if one wants to play it as F2P, be prepared to grind credits to get even 1-day rental for weapons and equipment you might like to use, or be stuck with jack-of-all-trades assault rifle, armor, speed and standard length HRV (basically wallhack that is allowed to use, and everyone can use it). TF2 also requires some tens of hours until you can get a good grip of it. Getting new weapons is a bit of RNG though: you can get 10 weapons per week as random drops, and the counter resets every Thursday around 6.00 PM (GMT +0.00). For new players there's also achievements that they can complete, and on milestones (do enough achievements for said class) they get rewarded with a class-related weapon depending on what milestone is passed. However it requires 0 cents to become good at, and all the "premium" players really get, are hats and custom taunts, plus ability to trade, which can actually be handy for getting what you might want instead of crafting. Same thing with Loadout; you can only spend real money on cosmetics, so definitely not "pay to win" -games.
  10. Another long, off-topic related post. Those here for anime discussions can dismiss this post entirely: Brother? I too play a lot of Soldier. I don't like playing as slow classes usually, hence why my most played classes nowadays are Soldier, Scout and Medic (Blutsauger + Solemn vow too good). Too bad Half-Zatoichi got a stat change... I mean, it's a good thing to make it more balanced for Demomen, but not so much for Soldier. At least can put it away now in case have to use rocket launcher. I know I might be weird for using a Half-Zatoichi with Rocket launcher + Gunboats combo, but it just has grown on me. Also about playing as slow classes: if I play as Heavy, I tend to use shotgun most of the time instead of minigun, unlike what 99% of Heavy players do (replace shotgun with sandvich)... And this is with the Tomislav that doesn't have a long rev-up time to begin with. Guess that says something? Guess TF2 doesn't count as cheap and something people are not specifically competent at? Sure, I have racked up 2107 hours in it, but nowadays I'm goofing around more and not playing to win. It is, I like it better on TF2 though since you usually play as a pyro and you just go to town with the flamethrower on the map. IMO the PropHunt works better in Garry's Mod. There's a lot more variety, and it's more challenging for the hunters as they lack options to heal themselves and just burning everything and hope they hit someone. However in GMod's PropHunt you also have very small props that are OP as hell: you can't hit them if either the shooter or the target (or server) is even a little laggy, and they can be hidden in such small cracks it's not fun for hunters. There's plenty of gamemodes for Garry's Mod that could be fun to play, like "Trouble in Terrorist Town", "Stop it, Slender", aforementioned "PropHunt"... They might require you to also have CS:S and possibly Half Life 2: Episode 2, but most of the time those are the only things most stuff in Garry's Mod requires (plus TF2, but come on, it doesn't cost a single cent anymore). Might go way above the price target and skill level requirement, but ARMA 3? Battle Royale and Escape scenarios seem like they would be fun to play in groups (AFAIK at least Altis and Stratis are official terrains for those scenarios. I don't know if Escape from Takistan and Chernaus are official, but have seen people play them without issues). The maps are quite large though, but luckily vehicles exist... Who would want to run all the way across Altis? That terrain alone is 270 km2... I don't remember if it's a little smaller than Los Santos in GTA V, but still really large.
  11. Maybe it's time to learn lockpicking? Unless the lock in your apartment door is relatively recent, then... crap. I dunno how the laws regarding lockpicking tools go in your state, but if they are legal, then it would most likely be legal to pick your own locks (or someone else's locks if you have the owners' permission).
  12. Welcome to the lower bracket of first world and some second world countries ITS ART MATE you're not intended to read it, but if you're like me that's not going to stop you from pausing and reading it anyway If that's called "The lower bracket of first world countries", then I guess I'm close to rock bottom... I'm actually okay with this speed. The thing what I am not okay with though, is the cost of this speed: 42,50€ per month. At least data caps aren't a thing anywhere else but the lowest end mobile plans (less than 10€ per month plans), which is good... As for the text flashes... Only a matter of time until they incorporate text flashes with only "[sample text]" in them... EDIT: @helping It's Mb/s... sadly.
  13. I should have seen that you were meaning that, but I didn't. I guess it's either me being mentally too young or my brain not wanting to work this evening... to be fair, it hasn't really functioned well this entire day, though... or it could be both.
  14. To be honest, I have no clue what you are saying on the second half of that sentence. Perhaps I'm still just a little too young to understand what you were trying to mean...
  15. When I read "knife guns" I thought of something else, but... Okay. I know. In case you didn't see the disclaimer: my post was a joke on this subject.
  16. Of course that's why those rules exist: it has to look cool. Since real life physics and silly things like common sense don't apply in anime, no-one aiming for mainstream appeal would include something that's not over-the-top, silly, and cool... Otherwise there would be something like this: On that note, said "swords" also have to look so overdesigned and impractical that design students would get nosebleeds from them. And just in case someone didn't notice, I'm just poking fun . That character knows their strats....
  17. If the motto for FPS games goes "Shoot everything that moves", for RPG's it would be "When it's dead, loot it" or "Take everything that isn't nailed down". RPG protagonists start to sound like kleptomaniacs now...
  18. I kinda wish that games like that had a well-scaling system that affects your movements speed and mobility according to how much are you carrying items of all kinds. That would encourage me to drop all the unnecessary stuff; after all, it can be hard to parkour when you have 20+ kilograms of equipment on you, and in games while I do loot unnecessarily much, I value speed over equipment, as I can't stand having to move slowly for an extended amount of time. If I recall correctly, Brink had a system like that for the "Smooth Movement Across Random Terrain" (AKA "SMART") mechanic: using heavy equipment? Have fun crawling on the ground while only being able to vault small obstacles. Being lightweight? You can run everywhere as if the game was Mirror's edge / Assassin's Creed / Prince of Persia... Although Brink is not so good example for this topic, as it's not an RPG.
  19. ikr? If it's something only limited for a certain area and/or for a certain amount of time, for example some weapon that you need to soon discard, that's not a problem. But when after a single use the object in-question vanishes permanently and is not usable again (possibly never again during said playthough), then... Damnit... It just sits in inventory as dead weight. Speaking of dead weight in video games... Hoarding in RPG games is real... I can never truly go lightweight in games that have a limited inventory system, as I believe I would use everything I pack. This has even come true IRL: have some schoolbooks I don't need for certain day? I'll pack them anyway. A first-aid kit I don't really need? In the bag it goes. Random tools I might use on very rare circumstances like screwdrivers, scissors and duct tape? Hope they don't weight down enough to make running too exhausting when carrying the bag... I need to learn how to pack light while be prepared for likely things that might require some items, both in-games and IRL...
  20. I dunno if anyone else does this (probably yes), but... I never use caps lock on purpose. Even if I write everything in all capital letters (AKA "all-caps"), I use left shift, never right shift nor caps lock. I have gotten so used to it, and find caps lock be more of a bother than a help, I wish caps lock could be rebound to some other command or disabled.
  21. Yay... LinuxLive USB creator fails to make a drive bootable with Debian... and it's getting late... Guess I'll continue migrating to Linux tomorrow. The 2TB HDD is now installed though, had already forgotten how much of a cable clusterf*ck is inside the case, and forgot the joy of having to brute force the right side panel in due to lack of sufficient space for cable management, and PSU cables being ridiculously thick in addition to small part of them running from the back between the case's back and said side panel... I have to use both of my hands and both of my feet (plus have the case up against a wall) to close that side panel. 30€ cheap cases... Never again.
  22. Weren't Stens made very cheaply anyway? The manufacturing was very simple and cheap, and despite the simplicity, one shouldn't expect reliability for a very low price. ^This. Every weapon ever, be it a firearm or not, requires necessary maintenance every now and then. While for example (well made) AK's are very reliable and can be used even after harsh treatment without maintaining it, doesn't necessarily mean one should do that.
  23. ugh... Putting the right side panel of my cheapo case is a pain in the ass. It won't stick, it bounces off as there's thick PSU cables going at the back of the case that clearly wasn't designed with cable management in mind, it can barely stuff even thin SATA cables. Also: dust... dust everywhere... Really need to get canned air and dust it one day.

  24. The most unreliable ones are most likely the oldest ones, both oldest ones in service (weapons that have been recycled for several decades without replacing), and oldest ones in existence (older firearms, like flintlocks). I doubt anything that has been made after 1970's or 1980's would be "unreliable" per say. There can be manufacturing defects that can happen with every product, but those are just the rare exceptions.
