RTX 4090 VRM meta-analysis and FE/AIB comparison
SwiftXShadow replied to kirkle8's topic in Graphics Cards
Gainward is missing. -
That isnt a discount for me. Even if i bought it with my company account and payed 100% of that money back to the company it would be corruption. In other words i CANNOT buy it for myself for that price. I can just cry that my company gets it for so cheap but i never will.
-
Yes but for business purposes our companies do not have to pay tax. For example the phantom WITH tax would be 2050€ which would still be cheaper.
-
As a private citizen this is what RTX 4090 would cost. Now if i login with my company account the cost turns into this. I just gotta cry that i can never buy it for that price for myself.

I have two questions. 1. Where on earth do you mount/secure your SSDs to? I found 1 location at the back but that is it, i cant find any way to secure them to the HDD cages. 2. How do you get to change the color of the LED strips that come along with the case? I connected them to the board at the back of the case but they only glow white, the LED sw" button does not seem to do anything.

Which mobo to get LGA 1700?
SwiftXShadow replied to SwiftXShadow's topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
I already own 32gb of DDR5 memory -
I am currently looking at Gigabyte Z690 Aorus Elite AX DDR5 (306,30 €) and ASUS PRIME Z690-A DDR 5 (316,30 €) Not sure if i am missing anything but the gigabyte one looks superior to me with a lower price tag. It has better VRM and Wifi which i dont actually care about since i always use cable. Other then that they look quite identical. Am i missing something? Is there something better at this price range?

3 years old laptop keeps thermal throttling
SwiftXShadow replied to reivelt's topic in Troubleshooting
Most likely you will have to underclock the video card. About 10 years ago when i bought a laptop i had that problem from the start. As time went on i had to underclock it more, and more and more and more. If i didn't then the entire system would freeze. Honestly it is just bad laptop architecture. But then again laptops really should not be used as a main pc for gaming because of this heating issue. There is no actual fix to your problem that will not come at the cost of performance or buying a new computer.- 10 replies

u should go 4 cores, as u wont need more. Having 4 cores and higher Ghz is better then 6 or 8 cores with lower Ghz What yo u want is the highest Ghz you can possibly get for a single core and for the 4 cores working all the the same time.

Buy a prebuild mini Pc or Build a desktop pc?
SwiftXShadow replied to keavlar's topic in Laptops and Pre-Built Systems
most minis hardly make any noise and generate next to no heat. Unless you buy them in a massive amount with a company their all overpriced. Noise and heat come mainly from Fans and GPU. These tiny mins usually cant even fit fans and dont come with GPUs -
Buy a prebuild mini Pc or Build a desktop pc?
SwiftXShadow replied to keavlar's topic in Laptops and Pre-Built Systems
considering you have 1200 posts on these forums, why do u even ask that question when u know 90% of people will say. Self built PC > prebuilt PC > Laptop I am sure u know enough that self built will always be cheaper, as you pick the exact parts you need and dont overpay for them. -
Ram - is your short term memory and nerves Motherboard - is your spine CPU - is your brain GPU - is what gives your eyes the ability to see color, the ability to see movement and see in 3d. PSU - is your blood and heart Fans - is your sweat Mouse and keyboard - are your arms and legs Speakers - are your ears Monitor - is your eyes Case - is your bone structure HDD - is a 70 year olds long term memory SSD - is a 20 year olds long term memory Human = Computer "Teacher whats a spine?" *Oh yea.... the little shits dont know even basic biology*
-
i mean u dont need 2000 for fracebook, remote desktop and youtube. More like 500 if even that. High end GPUs = heat.

One is shit but runs good. The other is good but runs shit. That about sums them up.
