  1. Will post more in a few days likely, maybe even a short video
  2. Very silent to be honest - when running on min barely audible at 1m, and at full load the sound is very muffled (the eloop ones)
  3. Rig finally upgraded fromthe old z77 and 3570k to the z97 and i7 4790K! Also moved away from the old prototype case and into this one. Specs: AsRock Z97M OC Formula Core i7 4790K 32GB DDR3 Hyper X FURY Zotac GTX970 2 x 2TB HDDs 120GB HyperX SSD 240GB Kingston SSD 2 x Noiseblocker 120mm eLoop fans 2 x Noiseblocker 120mm Multiframe (these are from a sponsor) Arctic Freezer LP11 (sponsor) CX600M (I know, I know, it's from the old rig, will be the next thing to be upgraded) Case - Defcon One by Hydra This is the "air" version of the build - in a while I'll likely add more yellow details to the case and put an AiO solution for the cooler since I'd like to keep the 4790K at 4.5 in daily use.
  4. Hello guys! We've gotten started on our Hydra Desk presentation mod, with the help of goodies from noiseblocker and aquatuning and a few others we'll introduce later Here is the first phase - painting the fans to match the color of the pastel green liquid from mayhem's that we'll be using in the loop. We made a cnc machined "fan rear protector" for the paint operation, as masking take was being a pain to apply properly. For those worries about the paint on the fans, we, ran the numbers and it causes no problems at all Most of the loop will run inside a custom-made plexiglass "routing space" and will show the log in the main "reservoir area"will post pics and renders further on.) Next we put the radiators up: there 4x360mm radiators in the right leg and an additional 480mm radiator for the left side interior. they all fit quite nicely and we're glad about the choice of leaving the rubber pads white, as it provides a cool contrast once mounted. Stay tuned for more updates
  5. Yeah, the crystal is fairly compact (being just 300 and a bit mm in the front side) but very high quality - we aimed at a premium item
  6. Price are on the crowdfunding campaign, but here is a short recap: Defcon One, painted, with the riser cable, SLI bridge, 16mm power button and USBs - 205 euros Defcon One, painted, no riser cable SLI bridge, 16mm power button and USBs - 180 euros Defcon One, unpaited, SLI and USBs only 150 euros. Made of aluminum and panels of 3mm plexiglass. Crystal is more expensive since it also uses tempered glass panels and has a 3mm thick strcture. 280 unpainted and 340 painted, with button and USBs.
  7. There are 2 of them in there the Crystal and the Defcon One - they are both mATX and especially the Defcon One is pretty compact for what it holds
  8. Lol, right - you'd need a safe, not a desk to resist that.
  9. Not signal loss with the ones we use - they are rather expensive, but worth every penny in quality
  10. We'll include one EMI and EMC shielded PCI-E 3.0 x16 40 cm riser cable with the case. And yup, we already did test thermals durign prototyping (we'll post more pics of the prototypes later on ) and they worked great! (there are cut-outs in the plexi panel Thanks and all hail! We use an extra long SLI cable
  11. Yeah, I see what you mean, more of a case guy myself Which is your favourite?
  12. Ah right, forgot the L shaped part Ah I see well, maybe we'll make something like that in the future, who knows
  13. Uhm, sound like 4.5m would be a bit overkill for that no? 3 28inch screen fit just fine on a 1.5m desk (they should be about 60cm on the long side right?) and if you moved your PC inside the desk, the big case problem is solved (rads are also fairly easy to clean, since the panel comes off or you can just use the 360 and 480mm rads int he upper structure
