Aimbot69's Achievements

  1. Amazon basic USB powered speaker... Logitech USB powered speakers. It's what you want. but I don't know how good they sound. I have this set of Logitech USB powered speakers and they don't sound terrible.
  2. Why AMD? Not brand bashing, just a question. Why no SSD? Why an 18.5 inch 768 monitor? You would get a much more enjoyable experience out of this build. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/wJpsrH
  3. Yes, you can raid and have additional drives on the Intel controller. Make frequent backups with a raid 0. I personally run 2 120GB 850 EVOs in raid 0 for my OS/programs I use very frequently and have a 240GB OCZ Vertex 460 for my game drive and a Seagate 3TB drive for storage. I run bi-daily backups of my raid drive. and all drives are run off my Intel controller.
  4. All Free or have free versions: AOMEI Backupper, Clonezilla, Macrium Reflect, Redo Backup, Paragon Backup & Recovery, BackUp Maker, EaseUS Todo Backup, EaseUS DiskCopy, and many more are out there. AOMEI is the most popular, I personally like Redo Backup, but you have to have legacy boot set up in the bios to use the boot disk version on UEFI/Windows 8.1 systems. Edit: Added links
  5. Microsoft does not have the time to make and implement any drastic changes, what you are getting with the developer preview is very close to the completed product, that is why it is the DEVELOPER preview so that companies can start developing software for use on windows 10.
  6. The preview is a very close approximation to the live version that will be out in a few months, and would give him the opportunity to test the OS to see if he liked it enough at launch to switch.
  7. I did read, at the bottom he said, "I will upgrade to 10 if i do end up getting it for free. As much as i like windows 7 i think its time for a change, worst case ill make a full image backup and if i dont like it ill go back." I was giving him an option on how to test windows 10 without losing his current OS install.
  8. That is just a list of tested working in-house memory. It's a way for the company to say we tested on this, but we can't say it will be compatible with brand X that we don't test.
  9. Download the test build and run it in a virtual box, test it out and if you don't like it, delete the virtual box and no real changes made to your primary OS.
  10. Yes. Buffered/registered = server/workstation memory. Unbuffered = Consumer grade memory. Slot Keys are in different locations, and some sellers on sites like E-bay or Amazon will not tag them correctly.
  11. NZXT Source 210 I own one and it is an awesome case for the money, I got it for $29 USD about 2 months ago.
  12. What monitor are you using? 1080P, 1440P or 4K? Can you afford a $650USD card over another $350-$400USD card? Personally I would go with another 970 and SLI, but if you are pushing higher resolutions you may want to go with a 980ti.
  13. Short: No. Long: No, game on!
