  1. Rig name: TitanCpu: i7-4790k @4.00GhzGpu: GTX 980Ram: 16GBScore: 8.7
  2. The good thing about pc's is that I could repair it myself or ask a friend in the worst case scenario. But it would really piss me off, honestly. Or maybe even ask ASUS directly? God, I really hate these kind of problems! I just wanted to play The Witcher 3 all weekend long!
  3. I got it from ALTERNATE (in Belgium). I will go tomorrow with my PC, if I touch too much they could revoke my warranty. So I hope they can fix it fast, but now I know more about what it could be thanks to you guys. I really hope they are fair!
  4. But it's a brand new one, and it's 850Watts, even a bit overkill for my system (I am planning on upgrading it later) #samcool55: But it worked for the installation? Wouldn't it have had problems with that too?
  5. Hi guys, Today I got my brand new rig. But a the startup windows installation started. After the installation windows crashed saying that it must restart, but then it restarts over and over again. So I go into the BIOS and chose my SSD as booting drive. but then it starts to restart without even showing the BIOS menu. it turn on for 4seconds then off for 4 seconds and so on. The motherboard (Asus Maximus VII Ranger) shows multiple codes after eachother directly on the motherboard. My screen does not detect any signal from the Motherboard and my keyboard/mouse don't get power either. Can anyone help me? EDIT: the first startup worked, I could go into the windows menu and programs.
  6. I will! I will probably get it soon, since the free GeForce games offer (Witcher 3 and Arkham Knight) will probably end on June 1st
  7. And the 4790K with the cooler I added on my last post? I don't want a $3000 pc, but a $100 more are less are not a problem. The case you suggested looks great thanks!
  8. Is this cooler a better choice? Cooler Master Nepton 240M https://fr.alternate.be/Cooler-Master/Nepton-240M/html/product/1153866?tk=7&lk=5168 (I guess I am allowed to post links to other websites) Or this one ? Corsair Hydro H110 https://fr.alternate.be/Corsair/Hydro-H110/html/product/1057307?tk=7&lk=5168
  9. What is the nam of this case? (I actually picked the cheapest one) And what kind of cooler should I be looking at? And I actually wanted to have this cpu, because I would like to have 4Ghz, but with another one I would have to overclock it, this one is already there without oc. I don't trust overclocking, I don't know why I'm afraid to burn my whole motherboard (and yes, I know that's plain dumb)
  10. Really? I have Absolutely no knowledge in motherboard-stuff, but a Youtuber recomended it (joker productions). And would Asus be better? it is the same price, so I just want something that lasts a long time even with a heavy use (gaming on regular basis, heavy work will be less common). And what kind of PSU would be reliable? and ready for a 980SLI in the future? (but I don't want a 300$ electricity bill either ofc)
  11. Hi guys! A friend of mine asked here for some comments about his new pc a couple months ago, so he advised me to do the same. So, basically, I want a good gaming pc (being able to play the witcher 3 all maxed out at 60fps on a 1080p screen) and a good working station (editing, 3D, after effects, unreal engine, ...). My plan was to buy a good computer, not the best one BUT I want to be able to make it every year (or so) better if I want to. There are just some things I don't want changed: I want a good intel i7 cpu, I want a GTX 980 (I know a 970 SLI would be better, but my plan was to have a 980SLI in a not so distant future (a year or two) and a motherboard, psu, etc.. ready for it. My config is: - GIGABYTE NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980 4GB [€629 - $716] - Intel® i7-4790K 4.0Ghz [€369 - $520] - (PSU) Cooler Master G750M [€89 - $101] - (screen) ASUS VS278Q [€239 - $272] - (case) Aerocool BATTLEHAWK [€59 - $67] - (SSD) Samsung 250GB 850 EVO [€109 - $124] - (mouse & keyboard) CM Storm Devastator (SGB-3010-KKMF1) [€39 - $44] - (motherboard) MSI Z97 GAMING 5 [€159 - $181] - (HDD) Seagate 1TB SATA HDD [€57 - $64] - (RAM) Corsair 16GB (2x 8GB) DDR3 Vengeance [€132 - $150] Total: €1.888 ($2.150) Those are belgian prices And some explanations: - Gigabyte's version of the 980 because it is made for overcooling (which I will not do) but since it will be cooler I assume it will last longer. - The screen, mouse, case, etc are not really premium stuff, but I don't have the money for better stuff, it just has to be good and last long enough for me to get money for higher quality (a year or two, I'm a student). If you have more question, ask them here Thank you for your time! Config.pdf
