Hi guys! A friend of mine asked here for some comments about his new pc a couple months ago, so he advised me to do the same. So, basically, I want a good gaming pc (being able to play the witcher 3 all maxed out at 60fps on a 1080p screen) and a good working station (editing, 3D, after effects, unreal engine, ...). My plan was to buy a good computer, not the best one BUT I want to be able to make it every year (or so) better if I want to. There are just some things I don't want changed: I want a good intel i7 cpu, I want a GTX 980 (I know a 970 SLI would be better, but my plan was to have a 980SLI in a not so distant future (a year or two) and a motherboard, psu, etc.. ready for it.
My config is:
- GIGABYTE NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980 4GB [€629 - $716]
- Intel® i7-4790K 4.0Ghz [€369 - $520]
- (PSU) Cooler Master G750M [€89 - $101]
- (screen) ASUS VS278Q [€239 - $272]
- (case) Aerocool BATTLEHAWK [€59 - $67]
- (SSD) Samsung 250GB 850 EVO [€109 - $124]
- (mouse & keyboard) CM Storm Devastator (SGB-3010-KKMF1) [€39 - $44]
- (motherboard) MSI Z97 GAMING 5 [€159 - $181]
- (HDD) Seagate 1TB SATA HDD [€57 - $64]
- (RAM) Corsair 16GB (2x 8GB) DDR3 Vengeance [€132 - $150]
Total: €1.888 ($2.150)
Those are belgian prices
And some explanations:
- Gigabyte's version of the 980 because it is made for overcooling (which I will not do) but since it will be cooler I assume it will last longer.
- The screen, mouse, case, etc are not really premium stuff, but I don't have the money for better stuff, it just has to be good and last long enough for me to get money for higher quality (a year or two, I'm a student).
If you have more question, ask them here
Thank you for your time!
