  1. sorry where are the bioses? can't find them anymore
  2. theres bioses that go way past 1.237v even for 970s. my 970 is volted at 1.275, some on water go up to 1.3125v. im betting you could easily push this card to 1600mhz given the proper voltage and bios. theres some modded bioses right here on tech tips just look around a bit
  3. did you just flash the bios or copy it in your own and then flash it? cos it gave me the exact same problem when i simply flashed the modded bios rather than copying it into mine and flash that one.
  4. its firestrike ultra, which is two "levels" heavier than normal firestrike. theres both the msi AB log file as well as the 3dmark.result file. go ahead and look at it, you might wanna make sure you have your facts straight before calling someone a liar.
  5. la pizza col ketchup é illegale
  6. dudes just forget about it, when the s***storm hit the fan i had already provided to showing benchmark results with an 8350 and a 970, demonstrating the 970 was not bottlenecked by the cpu and in fact ran at a constant 100% (and it was OCed to 1600MHz effective clock as well). and obviously those results were promptly discarded and ignored by the "intel team" on this thread. there is literally no point in continuing the discussion. people will not budge from their position, whichever that may be. the original question of the user was which fx series was the best to pair with a 970. by now he already knows the two main currents are A) get an 8350 or B ) drop the fx series and get an i5. the way i see it, since its gotten way out of hand anyway and the question has theoretically been answered, we might as well close down the thread. all thats being added to this thread for a while now is an intel vs amd war, which is pointless, and its not like any forum has ever had a shortage of these battles. its not productive, it clogs up the forum, and serves no useful purpose anymore. Cheers
  7. strongly agree on AMD cards for editing. At least one SSD will be important, big as you can afford or multiple ones. 16gb minimum of ram. i7 is the best option there is, but if you end up on a very very tight budget Fx8350s are a good price/performance ratio for editing purposes, will need a good cooler though. DO NOT buy an 9000 series, if you're going to spend that much might as well get the i7. keep in mind that the processor you choose will affect future upgrades in terms of motherboard compatibility, and AM3+ socket (for the AMD 8350) is pretty much a dead end in that sense.
  8. yea i saw, they look freaking awesome in aesthetics and specs, im just wondering whether or not the chip itself will be high quality, allowing for great OCs. although i guess to get 1200MHz out the box it probably has a pretty high asic score, so yea. pretty expensive though, idk if the premium is rly wort the extra MHz, unless it OCs like 100MHz higher then other cards at the very least. but i guess of budget isnt a problem, then go for it, looks great on paper as well.
  9. whats ddu? never heard of that and thanks for the update
  10. to be honest ive never seen, tried, or even seen a review of a galax card, so i honestly have no idea if they're any good. the fact that no one uses them/knows much about them i thought meant they weren't very good. im probably wrong then i guess. but id be interested in seeing how thery perform too
  11. i have a g1, but what do yoe mean "sags less"? do you mean in terms of weight on the pci-e slot?
  12. can i uninstall geforce experience? or does it come with the driver? cos id easily do without
  13. yep, just watch it with nVidia GeForce experience, tried to install new drivers on me the other day.
  14. Q: How/where DO I get hired to test 6 40inch displays on a PC?
  15. "Let me tell you, scared me shitless" - made my day bruh yea its been far too much of a pain in the ... to be honest. im sticking with 350.12 til they fix this crap. although there are rumours (and thus as such they should be taken) that nV might be purposefully nerfing the drivers to prevent people from OC'ing past profitable margins (i.e. if you buy a 970 and OC it to the performance of a 980, nV just lost out on a 250 bucks price premium, so they're nerfing it to the point where a 970 can at most get to just below a 980s performance, but not quite, so if you want that performance, you're gonna have to buy it straight up). again, these are rumours, so lets see how the batman game ready driver behaves before we freak the f*** out and go insane on nV forums. i dont think its true, but i wouldnt be 100% surprised if it was.
