  1. Hi everyone, Recently bought a new gen4 SSD and went ahead to plop it in the system. Upon putting everything back together it wouldn't make it past to actual windows. I need to note when I first tried booting, one of the GPU 6pin power cables was not fully inserted properly. 1. At first it said something like "load VGA bios". 2. I reset and updated my motherboard bios to the latest available. 3. Managed to get to windows login page and upon keying my password it went BSOD. "Kernel mode heap corruption" So I went ahead and load into safe mode. It didn't crash or anything there so I reset. "Kernel security check failure" 4. I went to reseat the ram sticks and... We are back to square one with "load VGA bios" 5. Tried to update bios again. And now it's just stuck with code: 0D 6: tried removing all hardware and seems like it's the nvme SSD with windows that got corrupted midway. Anyone has a clue why? What do I do? System was working perfectly stable right before this :((( I've tried the following - reseat GPU - reseat ram - reset Bios - updated latest bios Specs Asus X570 Crosshair VIII Formula Ryzen 3700x 2 X 16 (32gb total) Corsair Vengeance Pro RGB 3200mhz CL16 Windows drive - Adata sx8200 gen3 New SSD - some OEM micron gen4 GPU - Palit 3080ti gaming pro PSU - Coolermaster v850 SFX 80+ Gold
  2. So here is my current setup.. I'm having some serious wire management issues here.. My table is fixed to the wall and there is only one wire management route to the bottom of my table at the top right corner. Few issues -wire management -my scarlet 18i20 (red box), any suggestions to relocate it? Should I get a rack mount and use that to prop my monitor up? Plus.. I can't just go ahead and buy those ikea screw-beneath-your-desk cable management thingy as I would have drilled into my drawers. Some advice to make my build neater?
  3. So I went on a hunch and bought it.. Ran prime95 for a day on a oc to 4gb.. No crashes or anomalies. Is there any other way to test the full functionality of the motherboard and cpu? Also I did a 3d rendering with 3d max, seemed fine, everything running at 100%. However, I realized there may be some ram issues? It doesn't detect the two stick of Rams in the recommended slots but when I swapped them around and tried other configs it seemed to work and detect all 8gb. Initially it only detected one stick of 4gb as opposed to two. So.. Any suggestions?
  4. I tried asking him if I can deposit first but he keeps assuring me it is a fully working system and he says he is willing to give me his personal warranty for a week
  5. Ah. Cause I was told the mobo will cover almost all of the grommets and the longer side will not have any screw mounts to hold the board. Not sure if that will be an issue. Thanks though!
  6. I know it says on corsair webpage for the 450d that it supports E-ATX motherboards well but I wanna be sure before I commit. I'm intending to use an Asus Rampage V Extreme motherboard on the 450D, with a Corsair H100i GTX AIO cooler. Will there be any issues with motherboard standoffs, interference from the rads.. Or any issues in general? Anyone with similar specs or build can further advise?
  7. He tells me this is a system given to him from a friend over at usa. Given because of the bent pins. Not a local set apparently. And he himself has a rampage 4 e with a 4970X, which he has trouble selling at his asking price of SGD1000 ($800usd). In fact he was trying to sell me that system but I told him of my budget and he counter offered me this system. What should I do to evaluate or to confirm that everything is indeed in working order? He says he gives me a personal warranty of a week
  8. So I've got a i7 2600k running on a msi z67-gd55 mobo. 16gb ram Everything is perfectly fine. 4.3ghz oc. Got an offer to purchase my cpu, mobo and ram for SGD 600 ($450USD) And An offer to sell me the following for SGD 800 ($600usd) - i7 5820k - Asus rampage v extreme - Adata XGP 8GB DDR4 ram. The catch is they do not have local warranty and one or a few of the cpu pins were bent but he apparently fixed it and it's running "fine" - he showed me a video he took to show the computer booting up to password screen. He says the pins were slightly bent and he is using it as his daily pc. Go or no go? Any other info I should know?
  9. Thanks guys >.< I'm new here heh.. Temps appear to be around 40 degree Celsius. No vcync was on during the gaming test. Okay ima try reinstalling all the drivers to the latest and see what happens
  10. Hi guys.. I'm running out of ideas here.. It seems that I might have done something wrong or totally forgotten to do something to my PC after a fresh install of OS. Prior to fresh install it could play games like gta5 on medium to high settings fairly smoothly like near or sub 60fps, LoL over 110-120fps. SPECS -Intel core2quad Q8200 2.33ghz -MSI g41m-p33 combo motherboard -8GB DDR3 RAM -1TB HDD -550w cooler master PSU -Asus GTX 670 So I did a fresh reinstall, REMOVED MY SSD (In which the previous windows was installed in. Took SSD out to place into another pc that needed it more), format my HDD and reinstalled windows on the HDD -installed amd catalyst driver for a space card I had. MSI AMD RADEON 6770. -realised I dunwanna sell the 670 (the reason why I even did a fresh install) -turned off computer -took out the AMD CARD -installed GTX670 -turned back on -installed latest nvidia drivers From this point I started playing insurgency and rust, seemed to obtain near 60 fps and after a break i start to realise everything was stuttering as if the GPU is throttling. -restarted -did windows update till service pack 1 (thought that might help) -restarted -downloaded and installed MSI afterburner. And I realise my CPU and GPU are running at sub 40-50% load. With very stutters and unstable fps at 10-30fps Is something limiting them WHAT DO I DO FROM HERE? Doesn't seem like a cpu nor gpu bottleneck.. I'm pretty sure there isn't a hardware issue but I might still be wrong. Can you guys guide me on how to troubleshoot and solve this issue? AMD and NVIDIA drivers conflict? BIOS update? Reinstall drivers..? Nvidia power option? Hardware issue? Software?
