  1. Ok thank you, i have always had good experience with Samsung hard drives. Have 2 SATA SSD running is Raid 0, and they are still pulling along after 5 years of 8+ hours a day.
  2. For the GPU i know i won't be able to get it withing next month or so i am ready to use my 980TI until then
  3. Think i will go with the phanteks P500A instead
  4. Yeah i am currently looking at the case reviews from them, there are a lot to go though When you say cheaper SSD do you refer to the storage or getting an EVO instead of EVO Plus?
  5. My Last PC was a top of the line monster from 2015, but it is getting a little old now and am planning to get a new PC, but i don't have much knowledge about what i should be getting any more. So before i ordered i wanted to get some feedback. I am not sure about the MOBO selection, the memory (is is correct that 3600 is the best RAM speed to get?) and the Power Supply is that one can support the new 3080? 6. I am looking for a new monitor, and i would like an ultra wide or super ultra wide. However i am having an issues on settelng on one. The resolution must be 1440, and i would like the refresh rate to be 144hz. I am going to use it mainly for productivity work (programming, doc writing) and light/medium gaming. So i don't the color accuracy matters a lot to me, i am unsure about the refresh rate though. I have a 2080 TI so i should be able to run any monitor. The ones that i am looking at right now is AOC Agon AG493UCX 49" - Unsure about the quality of this brand though Samsung 49-Inch CRG9 Curved Gaming Monitor (LC49RG90SSNXZA) – 120Hz Refresh - This is a 120hz, that may be fine for me, i have only had a 144hz before jumped from 60hz, and it has a 4ms response rate
  7. I am not bound to Razer, I though it would be good as a comparison for the eGPU. My concer with other comparisons to the stealth is the cooling.
  8. I am currently looking for a new laptop, the laptop would be mainly for productivity (coding, word, excel) but i want to be able to game should i get the itch. Because the gaming is the smallest part of usages am i really interested in an eGPU solution, but i am a bit nervous about taking the $2k leap into that setup. Another reason i am really interested in the eGPU solution is that i really want a higher then 1080p resolution. Can some one help me with FPS comparisons between Razer Balde 15, RTX 2070 Max-Q Razer Balde Stealth 2019, with a RTX 2070 as eGPU external monitor Razer Blade Stealth 2019, with a RTX 2070 as eGPU laptop monitor. I am looking at a few different solutions. Razer Balde 15 with RTX 2070 Max-Q Razer Blade Stealth 2019 (4k) + Razer Core X Matebook X Pro + Razer Core X I really like the 3:2 aspect ration, do you guys have any recommendations for a 3:2 laptop that would do well with a eGPU?
  9. Forgot to add, my budget is roughly 2500. Where looking at ROG ZEPHYRUS (GX501), but it is only 1080p
  10. Yeah it looks good, just cant figure out where the 4k model is sold. I will not have room for a desktop computer, after i move next moth. I made a deal with my wife either we get a 2 bed room apartment or i get a new gaming laptop We deided on the gaming laptop.
  11. Hi All, i am currently hunting for a new laptop, as i don't have room for my desktop any more. I am looking for a laptop that is primary for Programming, so it needs an I7 quad core, a 1440p or above resolution, and preferred 6+ hours battery life with none gaming work load. I want to use it for gaming, but i don't game often any more so a 1060 would be fine for my needs. I was waiting for the new Razer Blade 4k, but it dose not seem like it is ever going to come out, other options i have been the Giagbyte Aero 15, but i can not find any where where the 4k version is sold. Everything i find is 1080p, so i where hoping to get some suggestions from you guys.
  12. I am currently trying to figure our a nice solution where i can switch between my laptop and dekstop seamslessly. The main problem is that my laptop have a lot of security such as VPN and stuff that i can noget get on my deksktop, so when i want to work it have to be on my dekstop. I have an awesome setup at home with 2x27" 1440p monitors that i would like to work with, but because on of them is a G-SYNC monitor (Acer XB270HU) dose it only have one display input, makeing it hard to swtich between laptop and dekstop. My secondary monitor have multible inputs and the mouse and keyboard can be handled with a normal KVM, but the primary monitor is a problem as i can not find a KVM that can support 144Hz at 1440p and G-SYNC, i can downgrade to 60Hz and no g-sync, which is fine for the laptop but i would like to keep this feature for my desktop. Do any one have a suggestion how i can solve this problem, as because of all the problems involved with switching, leaving me never using my office.
  13. Would it be possible to use the thunderbolt IO together with unRaid, running 2 VM's, with one of the VM's with 2 monitors the other one 1.
  14. Yeah you are right i was looking for 2.5k
