  1. Of course I did but also their claims.. also how does this work? So you do log? is that what you're saying?
  2. Well I'd suggest reading up their privacy policy and terms of service policies as well. Here's ToS of Cryptostorm link also many VPN companies claim to no log anything you do but they might actually log which can be found on the privacy policy or somewhere else on their website. No logs It's quore from the topic where they explain how logging happens at OpenVPN. Then here they say what you need to do the set it not to log anything. Also many VPN companies say they don't log anything YET they log the IP address you use to connect to their service which is clearly log isn't it? Also some VPN companies want to have all their costumer data like your first and last name your address so on. While Cryptostorm for example doesn't have any users. "Privacy Seppuku Pledge" is their want to shut down their system. They've already done this before and went to court for their costumers then later they've reborn with better security and service. Privacy Seppuku Pledge & Wall of Honour Privacy Seppuku via key "leakage" mechanism Here's quote from what they had to do. If you want to read it more it's all here: cryptostorm: our #privacyseppuku pledge... since 2007! Also interesting fact is that CS doesn't have users they only have tokens so they cannot know is the token being used or not they don't know who is using it and from where. So yea basically they don't know who you're like maybe most other "VPN" companies would know today they've many ways to pay, bitcoin, dodgecoin w/e you can think of basically they might have it..so it's up to you how you'd like to pay them.. cryptostorm: All Tomorrow's Tokens... or, auth done right Finally I put it here too cryptostorm's terms of service cryptostorm: our privacy policy So Ultimately it's up to you who you trust with your info. Hotspot shield might use something else than OpenVPN and put in the installer malware or not. I don't know someone has to look into it and carefully look at the code if they allow it. But as many people who buy VPN all they care about the speeds and servers where they are while not so much caring hanging out their info and maybe the company sells their info later on? You just see so many ridiculous VPN companies and other "secure" programs made which aren't secure then later on when someone decides to take closer look on it. Everything comes down to people's own fear and paranoia they decide to buy or install software that might as well be snake oil later on cuz it doesn't work as it says it would. Mainly the reason why I went with Cryptostorm is the reason they use tokens, open source, very friendly people you can chat with at their twitter, IRC, You can pretty much ask them anything at their twitter or email and they will reply to you in way or other which can be helpful. Plus they look for other open source software to improve their service and look at other companies what they're doing is it any better or worse. For example Sauron's Eye nice stuff in there..I personally like CS cuz of the reasons they are open and look at secure programs and services if they're doing something like fooling costumers totally they will expose it to everyone.. Like for example here's a good case about TorGuard. Using Torguard's VPN? Best not for pr0n, nor in Iran :-/ then later on reading the ToS So how does that work then? ^^ So yea..I'd suggest reading their ToS and Privacy Policy carefully..as for any VPN service you're using..but in the end it's totally up to you what you want to do..
  3. NordVPN: fake "server status" page @OP Cryptostorm offers one NODE free with same security settings as paid but is limited of speed.
  4. Says the Cryptostorm team which I basically only trust to be my VPN provider. There has been many VPN companies big or small that claim to do stuff but then people hint the guys at Cryptostorm to take a look at their system and programs etc. Which then turns out to be no better.. for example Basically anyone who wants can contribute to this cause.. but Cryptostorm has made pretty huge list at github about providers they've looked into: https://github.com/cryptostorm/cleanvpn.xyz Here's another example if you're user of Hide My Ass I'd suggest reading this topic it brings some trouble some questions to the surface.. https://cryptostorm.org/viewtopic.php?f=60&t=8587 Anyway if you're interested to find out if your VPN provider is scam/insecure I'd suggest reading these: "VPN review" websites: Good, Bad, & Scammy explaining how vpn review websites work.. cleanvpn.org - working together to make things better Mike Espresso aka #test2 aka @mikeSpressoVPN - techno-babble... with style! nice article about fake costumer.. lol seriously.. Live-Capture Forensics of Corruptor-Injector Network injecting fake Chrome install via https@Google Interesting article about google and certs that are used by google. Going in great detail how they figure it out and how they found it. #SauronsEye: it mostly only comes out at night... mostly From what I understood from their twitter account they did encounter another one of these NSA attacks and have been doing more research from it..have been very busy figuring it out.. #SauronsEye: researching & defending against modern Corruptor-Injector Network (CIN) attack systems This is the "part 2" from the research they did.. but in short internet is a dark place.. with so many ways to spy people they don't even realize and how insecure it is. Before anyone says HTTPS is secure well here's a proof it isn't here is the full article talking about HTTPS crypto and some other stuff.. črypto is finished... and it's about time × (also: 'Balrog' malnet, firsthand view) I don't know about you guys but I honestly trust Cryptostorm way more than any other "VPN" Company cuz of stuff like this. They do their own research and are very open what they are doing all the time.. basically anything they do is open source and for public to view. Don't get me wrong I did test many VPN companies before but none of them made me feel more secure than these guys..I don't try to market them but I don't think it's good idea to have scam/insecure VPN companies around that lie to the faces of people telling how secure they are when they aren't.
  5. It's only for PC usage
  6. Hey I was looking at reviews of HD8 DJ though these are good headphones build quality seems really good and they will last long time (I hope?) I've old razer headphones from 2009 or so..still going strong but I love music and audio stuff..so I figured might as well buy good pair of headphones..so I don't have any other audio equipment like amp or dac. I was curious can I use the HD8 DJ with just onboard audio of maximus VII hero? or am I required to buy something? my main question is do I need some extra equipment to make these headphones to work properly? thanks
  7. Btw in bios the setting called: ASUS MultiCore Enhancement should this be enabled or disabled?
  8. I dunno how much my GPU would effect my CPU still waiting to get 980 ti Strix edition from asus..currently using 960 while waiting obviously bottle neck so
  9. You're right I just tested BF4 and it does the same..still slightly confused by does the bus clock show 99.9 even tho at bios it should be 100? well at least 4.1 it does get boosted..
  10. Ah, I see, so this is more accurate then? http://a.1339.cf/cveiix.jpg
  11. I got little curious on my 4790K started little research about overclocking and auto tuners played around with little settings then decided you know what since this stuff is far out of my knowledge and comfort zone I should leave it alone.. I'd feel much better if someone in irl would show how overclocking is done and explain stuff. but far as I know turbo-boost should make the CPU go faster so 4.0 to 4.4 right? so I wonder is this suppose to happen or not? or when I reset the bios settings to default optimazed did it change something I didn't want to be changed? I checked that the turbo boost is enabled. So what gives? I use Noctua NH-D15 as cooler..but 3.9 only? shouldn't it go up to 4.4? http://i.imgur.com/VXOpRxe.jpg
  12. I checked in BIOS and it's booting up from correct drive. It also shows up in the bios as drive but it just doesn't want to go desktop for some reason. What I noticed is that when you use sata3 cable on the really old drive it doesn't even lock on to it like it should. Idk really just curious why it isn't working but it does work on older computer.
