  1. Does anyone know of any way to truly FORCE programs / apps to run as a normal window. Ideally something through integrated settings whether: Control Panel, Group Policy, Registry, etc. I would prefer to avoid fixing with yet another piece of software. I am currently running Windows 10 Pro. The program I am currently having issues with is Emby Theater though i have had the issue with other software in the past. It spawns as a pseudo window which ignores commands like [Windows Key] + [Arrow] for window manipulation. The "Maximize" button is actually a fullscreen button, so it cannot be maximized or snapped to the side. The Emby developers helpfully claimed they "are working on an all-new windows app to replace it that will be more like a normal windows app." I have no idea why anyone would go out of their way to create such a bizarre mechanic in the first place. It does seem however that Windows itself should be able to exert some level of over the way things display regardless. Any constructive ideas appreciated.
  2. Thanks for the responses. That's the closest I've seen to a true universal adapter so I'm marking it as the answer. With the bifurcated assembly, I’m not sure if it's a better option than the independent adapters, but I am definitely considering it.
  3. Does anyone know if there are any external M.2 enclosures which are compatible with all standard M.2 drives? I am looking to manage drives form various devices with varying combinations of SATA / NVME and M, B, and M + B keying. I don’t think something like this is possible, but I'm hoping to avoid buying multiple enclosures. I don’t need transfer speeds over 10 Gbps USB if that matters and only need to connect one drive at a time.
  4. It was just FO4 but now it has randomly started working and i have no idea why so who knows.
  5. Yes I did it through windows first and then tried doing it through the nvidia control panel
  6. I tried that. Unfortunately the cursor still wasn't window bound.
  7. Does anyone know of a way to temporarily bind the cursor to a specific application or maybe one screen. I'm playing Fallout 4 on my main monitor and want to have a web browser and GPU Tweak on the secondary, but right now any time I my cursor too far to the side it ends up on the other screen. I'd like to just be able to alt-tab over to other applications when necessary. I have looked through Windows settings, Nvidia Experience/ Control Panel, and the game settings. I am pretty sure GTA V has a setting for that, but I am hoping there a way to do it with other software. This is my build http://pcpartpicker.com/list/tKpshq Thanks for Helping.
  8. 1080p 60 Hz If the GPU was not powerful enough you'll see it struggling at near-100%. But it doesn't so that. It just sits at 40% usage in DCS:World. What is your VRAM usage Also if you are gaming online Your internet connection matters
  9. Also what type of monitor do you have. Resolution, Refresh Rate, Input type etc. The GTX 950 is not that powerful so if you are trying to go 1440, 4k, or above 60-120 Hz you might have problems.
  10. You say you are gaming online. What is your internet connection like Visit http://www.speedtest.net/ and post your results. You generally want less than 100 ms ping time for online gaming.
  11. Does anyone have any ideas on how to get macros to work in fallout 4? I have found these threads on the problem with no tangible answers. I am using a Corsair K95 RGB with the Corsair Utility Link Software. My macros work is desktop mode and in Skyrim I haven't tried any other games yet. https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/554194-macros-not-working-in-fallout-4/ https://forums.logitech.com/t5/Logitech-G-Keyboards/G710-Multi-key-macro-not-working-in-game-Steam-Fallout-4-Windows/td-p/1462393 https://steamcommunity.com/app/377160/discussions/0/496881136912502462/
  12. This is the spec sheet for ASUS's Founder's Edition 1080 This is the Spec Sheet for the Strix So either ASUS cares so little about this release that they allowed it to be filled with typos or their new card has DDR2 memory at 32-bits, has Zero Display Ports Zero HDMI Ports and Zero DVI Ports, and requires no dedicated power yet can display a resolution of 7680 x 4320, oh and it is also running a geforce 210 engine. Here is that link again. http://www.asus.com/au/Graphics-Cards/ROG-STRIX-GTX1080-O8G-GAMING/overview/
  13. My desktop currently has a GTX 950, I am planning to upgrade to pascal in juneish when it is released. My question is if I build an HTPC with my current 950 can I use Nvidia Game stream to stream from my much more powerful desktop in the next room. If this is possible would it even be worth it or would it be too much lag. This is my Current Build: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/Ct7xLk This is my Router: http://smile.amazon.com/NETGEAR-Router-AC1750-Gigabit-R6300v2/dp/B00EM5UFP4 The TV that the HTPC would use is 1080p not sure on refresh/frame rate but those are supposed to be inaccurate on TVs anyways. I have a 60 Mbps connection and would be using Ethernet to connect both devices to the router. Any advice much appreciated.
  14. OK, so I have narrowed it down to the Verifi P5100 or the Verifi P2000. I appears that the 2000 has a swipe sensor and the 5100 has a static sensor. The 5100 also costs 2.5x as much. Does anyone know if there are any real advantages to the static sensor. Thanks
  15. I built my first desktop a few months ago, but after 4 years on my HP Laptop with an integrated fingerprint scanner I've become used to logging in that way. I've been looking for a good USB Scanner but haven't found much reliable recent information, If anyone could point me in the direction of some reputable brands or sources of information that would be much appreciated. I am running Windows 10 Pro if that matters. Thanks in advance
