in probably one of the more ironic turns of events, my dremel tool isn't cutting it. literally. i've cut roughly 2 cm in my front panel but i already burned through 4 disks!

Well to be fair, it sounds like it's cutting it, just not efficiently :D

What types of discs are you using, and what material is that front panel made out of?

according to InWin's site it's made from 1.2mm steel. which would make sense.

i'm using the Dremel brand heavy-duty cutoff wheels no.420.

Oh dang. That's definitely going to take a while. I cut a hole in my friend's M1 Ncase (all aluminum) to make a jury rigged acrylic side panel and had to use a lot of discs. I can't imagine how long it's going to take to go through steel.

I got the answer, it takes too long.

I'm all out of discs, and I barely made it 1/5th of the length I need to cut.

Tomorrow it's angle grinder time I guess, the only downside to that is that the surface finish gets much tougher from that kinda tool.

Oh well, right now I have a front panel with just a single cut in it, it definitely won't get worse than this at least!
