  1. Wow, I expected 4k to go down more in price over this time, I guess not. Thank you for your suggestions, I'll check them out!
  2. 1440p is good, the 1070 should be great at that res. I don't really think your single 1070 is ready for 4k 60 fps.
  3. When I save up the money (in a couple months) and buy another 980 ti I'm going to buy a 4k monitor. I don't want to spend a fortune on 4k so my budget will be <$400 and the monitor has to be IPS and 60hz+, I would also prefer 25"+. Please help me find one! Thank you in advance, Chickenpuffball
  4. That motherboard only supports LGA775 CPUs. This chipset doesn't have very good current gaming processors. You could find a good deal on eBay or get a refurbished processor which should be cheap but I can't recommend anything really specific. To be honest (if you have the money to spend) I think you should get a more updated motherboard and an i5-6600 or so. But if you don't have $350 to spend that's fine.
  5. It's generally better to get big name brands for PSUs, this is the same price as yours: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00EON40CS/ref=mp_s_a_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1473881708&sr=8-2&pi=SY200_QL40&keywords=power+supply&dpPl=1&dpID=51Zd5PuGxSL&ref=plSrch.
  6. I meant for future expansion and plus, it's best to have 2x the recommended wattage for your PC in your PSU. But I would recommend getting a major PSU name brand for PSUs (EVGA, Corsair etc).
  7. You could use a VPN, this will disguise your IP. You could also use DuckDuckGo which is a very good search engine that doesn't let companies watch your browser. Malware Bytes is good for scanning for spyware/malware. You should also try CCleaner to clear your cache. If you're really desperate you could use Tor, but I don't really recommend that.
  8. It might be your headset. It sounds like that could be causing the problem. You should ask your GF to use your power strip/your headset and test with that, see if it changes anything. The only way to solve stuff like this is experiment.
  9. You could go with a higher wattage PSU, 430W is barely enough for this PC and definitely won't be enough for another 1060 or other expansions. I would also recommend getting a CPU cooler but reference is completely fine. You could go with 8gb of RAM to save a bit of money. 16gb isn't that necessary. You could also get a cheap SSD if you care about load times. Everything else looks good, it's a great start. I hope I helped and good luck building!
  10. Use a surge protector? It might also be that your power usage is too high. I've never heard of this issue. It might also be the illuminati's fault, they teld to be mysterious like that.
