  1. Great, thank you very much. maybe ill just try those apps on win 11 and if there is any issue, i now know i can rollback to windows 10.
  2. For example 3ds Max or davinci resolve. They may work but following some groups on facebook, there are lot of complaints about such apps and stability, speed issues etc. I want this laptop for production, so i need stability above everything. Thats why i would like to rollback to windows 10. So you say that its working the same on laptops as on normal PCs?
  3. Hey all. Since its black friday i wanted to buy a laptop. I found one https://www.digitec.ch/de/s1/product/msi-katana-gf76-1730-intel-core-i7-11800h-16-gb-512-gb-notebook-16722774 Unfortunately it comes with windows 11 and i really need windows 10 for some programs to run. Is it possible to just wipe the drive and install a clean copy of windows 10 pro like one does on a normal pc? Or is there any problem i can come across because its a laptop? Cheers and thanks in advance
  4. Hello All :) I was wondering if a Asus Z10pe D16 Mainboard will fit into a Silverstone Grandia GD09 HTPC Case? Mainboard has SSI EEB formfactor and GD09 has ATX, Micro-ATX and SSI CEB but i have absolutely no idea if they are compatible. Case: https://www.silverstonetek.com/product.php?pid=488 Board: https://www.asus.com/Commercial-Servers-Workstations/Z10PED16/ Thanks for any help!
  5. Thank you for your detailed answer, helped me a lot.
  6. Hey thanks for your answer. Its that easy? Even for dual socket systems?
  7. Hello. Some time ago i built two dual socket workstations, each with 64gb RAM. Now i want to upgrade them to 128gb but unfortunately, those exact RAM Modules seem no longer available where i live. Is there a compatible alternative i can use to mix with my already used RAM? Here is a Link: https://www.bechtle.com/de-en/shop/kingston-16gb-ddr4-2133mhz-module--938537--p Workstation: CPU: 2x intel xeon e5-2696v3 (36C/72T) GPU: 1x Gtx Titan Black 6GB GPU: 1x Gtx Titan classic 6GB RAM: 64 GB DDR4 ECC Mobo: Asus Z10PE-D16 PSU: Seasonic 1000w
  8. Ok think i found the winner. Both, the Noctua NH-D9L and NH D9DX i4 3U look like they can do the job but NH D9DX i4 3U is for sale on my local PC shop so i will take that one. Thank you both for your help!
  9. Wow thank you guys so far, i will take a look at it!
  10. Hello. Im wondering what would be a good Air Cooling solution for a dual socket system running two Xeon e5-2696v3 145W TDP inside a Silverstone Grandia GD07 for 24/7 medium to heavy workloads? Right now i have 2 Cooler Master Seidon ver2 AiO`s, one of them started to sound kind of weird and im a bit concerned that it will leak. The Problem is that the maximum height of the cooler is limited to 138mm. If someone has experience with this i would be thankful for any help.
  11. FYI: I finally reseated the CPU and the Temps dropped a rough 8-10° per core. The thermalpaste pattern looked uneven so i guess that was the problem.
  12. As far as i can tell from my own experiences, NO, it wont speed up your Rendering. If you render on your CPU (x264 for example) you would need more cores and higher clock speeds for faster rendering. If you render on your GPU (NVEnc) you would need a faster GPU. BUT, more RAM can improve your overall editing workflow because you would have more Frames stored in your RAM instead of your HDD/SSD, so the playback of your clips will be smoother.
  13. Hey Dan, thanks for your answer. I have isolated everything and monitor Temps and Humidity. So far i have a constant 20% Humidity and between 22° and 35°C inside that Closet (depending on workload and Environment temps). Hey WoodenMarker, i think i will do that. I did some more research and it really seems to be way more than normal differences. I will post if it worked or not.
