rtx 2070 MSI RTX 2070 8GB reporting 3gb dedicated memory?
TheWhiteside posted a topic in Graphics Cards
Hi, hope this topic is ok to be here, if not apologies! please move it to the appropriate place! BUT I've been having some strange happenings with my new MSI GAMING GeForce RTX 2070 ARMOR 8G OC. Overall it seems to perform fine, but in one of my favorite games - Squad - I can't get through a full match without crashing out with a memory error! this is really frustrating and confusing as my pc is well above the recommended specs for the game, and it ran perfectly fine on my old 2gb MSI Geforce GTX 960! So, after asking around the Squad discord and some forums, one member asked me to run a report on Aida 64, which revealed my 8gb card was dedicating 3gb of memory! (Is this normal?) The crashing issue seems isolated to Squad, even on the lowest settings. I crash out after about 10 mins, but I can play other games like BF1 and Escape from Tarkov on max settings for hours? Can someone please explain this to me or help me 'resolve' the issue as I'm getting really frustrated with it. Attached is my Aida 64 Extreme Report along with my last Squad logs Report.txt SquadGame.log Squad.log -
Oh! Sorry, I didn't realize that this thread was someone looking to buy some GPUs! I thought it was a general help thread for people to ask in!

Hi, I'm looking to sell a graphics card and am struggling for pricing, its in very good condition and was given to me by a friend a few years ago, I don't know how much they used it, but it performs perfectly, and was used very little by myself as I soon after bought a 960. I do not have original packaging. I do not have pictures at present but can take some if requested. Card to be sold - "Asus - GeForce GTX 560 Ti 2GB Video Card"

Thanks for the fast reply, Im actually replacing a faulty PSU, and based on the wattage calculator in the first post in this section I need at least a 650W.

Hey guys, I'm looking for a new power supply for my PC. I'm considering the Corsair RM 650W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply any opinions? PC specs are on my profile page.

Where I picked all my parts this EVGA PSU had a 4.6/5 rating from 40 people and none of them where bad comments. Guess its back to the PSU market for me
-
Ah gotcha, now to figure out what to do about this issue, because iv had the pc for about 5 - 6 months and i dont have alot of money to spend right now @don_svetlio
-
@don_svetlio I'm not seeing the NEX 750G on that list, and everywhere else i can see says its a good psu, so now im both tired and confused
-
@don_svetlio I am following, just doing some research on your post because I never seen/read that the power supply was a mad model.

Hey all, My fairly new custom PC (Under 1 YO) has recently ( over the last 2 - 3 days) been shutting down randomly and restarting with a message talking about ASUS Power Surge Protection having shut the system down to stop damage to the PC. ( It happened 3 - 4 times within an hour while playing DisHonored on max settings ). The PC is mainly used for Gaming, Game Creation, YouTube (Watching), and other general things such as Word Documents and Photos. I haven't overclocked anything past what I received it at (GPU Preset to OC Mode). I have already done some research about this and found that it could either be that my PSU is faulty (which I cant test because I don't have one to swap it with) or that ASUS Power Surge Protection is being over sensitive. You can find my full PC specs on my profile. Although ASUS Z97 Pro Gamer MOBO EVGA Supernova NEX 750G (80+ Gold) PSU Any help or opinions are greatly appreciated.

I was literally just looking at that SSD lol. What about the samsung 850 Evo though? isnt Linus a advocate of that drive?

Hey Guys, Iv been looking for a 240GB SSD for a few months now, I don't have a huge budget (Around 80 GB Pounds (£)) Mainly going to be used for storing OS and Games. The ones I've looked at recently are; Kingston SSDNow v300 Series 240GB 2.5" - http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/kingston-internal-hard-drive-sv300s37a240g Kingston Fury 240GB 2.5" - http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/kingston-internal-hard-drive-shfs37a240g I can't decide which is better between these two. Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

NZXT Kraken X31 Pump LED's Not Working
TheWhiteside posted a topic in Custom Loop and Exotic Cooling
I recently built my first custom gaming rig and due to budget restrictions I went with the NZXT Kraken x31 over the x61. The actual cooling aspect works fine, and I can edit the coolers settings from within the CAM software. However I can't seem to get the LED on the pump to work. Iv tried disconnecting the fan header etc to see if a re-initialize would solve the problem, but with no luck. In the CAM software I have set a colour and according to the software the LED on the pump should be working, but when I look inside my case (Through the side panel window) there is ZERO light coming from the pump. If anyone knows of any possible problems/fixes for my issue a response would be greatly appreciated.
