  1. So, I was browsing the internet today and I came across this new product from BLU products: http://www.bluproducts.com/index.php/pure-xl I had the older model which is still available at amazon for 6 months, but ended up selling it to get the new G4. If any of you know more about this product, please post down below!!! It'd be great if we could get Linus to do a review on it, wouldn't it?!
  2. Thanks Buddy!!! That is probably what I'll go with (:
  3. Hey guys! I'm from Brazil and I'm going on a trip to San Antonio, TX in 3 days. I plan on upgrading my current system, not build a new one. I have a decent 1TB HDD , 16 GB of DDR3 @1600 MHz and a big case with lots of coolers. Those Items I don't plan on replacing as of right now. However, I'm getting a new processor, motherboard, GPU and PSU (and possibly an SSD???). If you guys could give me some advice on parts to pick, it would be greatly appreciated. For these upgrades, my budget would be 1300 USD. I'm studying Comp Sci, and I will use this machine for some heavier workloads (3D rendering, unity game development, video editing, image editing). Also, I will use it for gaming and all regular computer stuff (browsing the web, etc). For my monitors, I currently own 1 1080p monitor, but I'm also getting a triple 1080p setup for productivity uses and for racing games. PS: This budget is exclusively for the aforemecioned parts, so no peripherals, case, RAM, or HDD required. Look forward to hearing from you (:
  4. My bad... I am not a native english speaker... What would be the most futureproof option then?
  5. So, I'm upgrading my pc pretty soon, to achieve the following setup: - i7 4790k - 16gb DDR3 RAM @1600 MHz - EVGA Z97 FTW MOBO - RM 850w PSU - Sentey GS6300R case - Corsair H55 watercooler And I need your help to decide on my video card(s). I have enough budget to get 2 970s and run them in SLI or get one 980ti and have about 100 dollars to spare. I know that if I go with the 980ti I will have room to get one more in the future, but I don't live in the US or CA, so, preferrably, I would choose the most futureproof option. Thanks
  6. yeah man, thought of that one too. Too bad it is taken I am a graphic design enthusiast, so I plan on making the logo myself, but thanks for the offer
  7. Hey guys So, I'm currently working on a mobile game with some friends and we're going to take it to the next level by establishing a company. Don't worry, we've already took professional advice ( legal, practical, etc ), so we have an idea of what we're doing. Now comes the part where we ask for your help: we can't decide on the name of the company!!! Preferrably, it should be something catchy and maybe contain some term of the field we work on. Any help is greatly appreciated
  8. That cpu will outperform the one in the requirements, and, IMO, those CPU specs are way too high. A 4510U i7 (as suggested in my previous post) will do all the work you could possibly expect out of a laptop for college needs. The 5th gen ones on the specsheet can be outperformed for some older generation processors. (e.g. an i7 4510U beats an i5 5200U, according to cpuboss)
  9. If you remove the integrated stylus requirement by purchasing a separate pen tablet, it makes it much easier to pick a laptop and adds a lot of versatility to your tablet choice. Assuming you take the route suggested above, my personal recomendations would be an UX303LN and a separate pen tablet (not much experience on these, so I don't have a formed oppinion on which is best).
  10. For those games, it is definetly overkill. But trust me, as time goes by you'll start enjoying more demanding titles. With this setup, you'll definetly be able to run most AAA titles on high-ultra settings. If, however, you choose to go with a cheaper build, you might not achieve such performance levels, and will probably have to start upgrading pretty soon.
  11. What's up guys?! So, I'm going on a trip to USA and I plan on getting a laptop that will suit my needs. I am a student and live far from my school, so it would be nice if it was light (for ease of transportation). Also, it will be used for some software development alongside with slight game development (Mostly Unity 3D). If I could run some light games (such as Minecraft / CS:GO) it would be perfect. My budget would be 800 USD. So far, I've considered getting a used Asus Zenbook UX 303 LN (http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B00KTL21RA/ref=dp_olp_used?ie=UTF8&condition=used) But I don't think the pricing on those is very appealing (as for now). Any help will be greatly appreciated
  12. You're good to go. Your MOBO supports RAM with speeds up to 3000MHz. It says right there in the newegg product page.
  13. Yep, should be fine. Please note that that is a high speed ram (2133 MHz). Most MOBOs don't support high speed RAMs. Check your motherboard for the specs of the slot. It will work fine, but you won't get the full performance that this RAM offers.
  14. Sorry man, my bad. In this case, I wish you the best of luck. Please, wait for them to announce the winners before making any decisions. In case you don't win, my advice is in my other post. Good luck again
