Hmm,very good idea,will definately try this one out and post back with results. As for the thermal paste,I have thought of that.I initially replaced the stock X62 paste with Arctic MX-4 as I have a whole syringe from previous build.The temps didn't change compared to the stock,or maybe went 1C down.I have been thinking about TG Kryonaut and use that for both CPU and GPU,is it worth to buy it over the MX-4? In terms of the other components,RAM/Mobo/HDD should I be worried? Also,thanks for the quick replies,any other bright ideas are welcome.!

I recently built a new PC ,specs as follows: Case: Phanteks P400s Motherboard: ASrock Z370 Gaming K6 RAM: 2x16GB G.SKILL 3200C14@3733MhzC16 1.4v CPU: i7 8700k @ 4.8Ghz 1.33v GPU: Palit Super Jetstream GTX 1080Ti @ 1924/6156 +100mv over stock. SSD: 1TB Crucial MX500 HDD:3TB Seagate Barracuda 7200rpm CPU Cooling: NZXT Kraken X62 280MM Fan positions: Exhaust:Rear 120mm,top 120mm,top 140mm, Intake: 2x140mm front Problem: EVERYTHING in my PC is overheating when gaming: CPU reaches 90C,GPU reaches 87C,SSD reaches 55C,HDD reaches 50C,Motherboard reaches 61C ,PCH reaches 65C,RAM reaches 60C. All fans at 60% with GPU on auto(around 80%). Ambient temp is 24C. ALL FANS running at 100%(its like a jet engine at that point) only GPU goes down to 82C.Rest of the temps stay the same What the hell do I have to do here??? Sorry but I am really pissed as my old PC ran everything at very cool temps and was dead silent.i5 4690k ,gtx 980 Ti in NZXT S340 case. Regards,

lol that sux,hmm.Should I try 4,6ghz with higher vcore,maybe 1,335v? I want the cpu to last atleast 3 years tho...

I didnt spend all this money on a nice mobo and watercooling just for 4,5 I can run 4,5 even with 1,280v stable..Something is limiting my oc and I dont know what...I just tested; 4,6ghz core 1,325v vrin 2.0 uncore 3,5ghz/+0.050v ring LLC auto ram to 1333mhz maximum temp 79C got BSOD within 20minutes

ok so I just dialed it back to 4,5ghz at 1,315v and left it stress testing overnight...test passed ,7 hours.How do I get to 4,6ghz now?? I know VCCIN and RAM and Vcore are not the limiting factor,so what else could it be? LLC?Uncore?

Hello guys,I built a new PC 2 months ago: CPU:i5 4690k CPU Cooling:Raijintek Triton RAM:16gb ddr3 1866mhz Storage:SSD 850 EVO 250GB,HDD 1TB Seagate 7200.14 Motherboard:Gigabyte Z97X SLI Monitor:Dell u3415w Keyboard:Logitech K360 Mouse:Rapoo 7800 Case:NZXT S340 PSU:1000w EVGA G1 GPU:GTX 970 I overclocked it to 4,6ghz at 1,315v and it passed 8hours IXTU stress testing,with max temp 82C,3 days the pc was 100% stable during gaming sessions and such.Today I just got a BSOD ...I tried lowering ram to 1600mhz,increasing VCCIN to 1.9v(it was at stock 1.8v)then I tried upping vcore to 1.325 and I still get the BSOD every ~1hour,I also have my uncore at stock ,3,5ghz as I have found it has no performance benefit at all.Please tell me what should I do -.-

I will definately go SLI later on,is 4k not worth it even then? Considering i wont be playing the most demanding games,it should run well.

I am an mmo gamer,so I will be playing games like ESO,Guild Wars 2,Planetside 2,maybe some GTA 5.Will a single 970 be able to run them at 4k With decent fps?
