  1. Actually as luck would have it, my relatives are getting rid of miniATX PC that build them a while ago, if I remember correctly that mobo had 6 SATA ports. So I'm going to see if can run TrueNAS on that.
  2. Do you have any experience with which one to pick? I found this reddit thread: People seem to be recommending these two: https://www.amazon.com/ORICO-Adapter-Desktop-Support-RAID-PM2TS6/dp/B09N34NKT1 https://www.amazon.com/Internal-Non-Raid-Adapter-Desktop-Support/dp/B07T3RMFFT?th=1
  3. I actually have one those as my second Proxmox host! What kind of adapter you are talking? Like nvme to sata?
  4. I have my old gaming PC converted into a proxmox host, which then has TrueNAS running. TrueNAS VM has 4 x 4TB of HDDs passed directly through. Everything works fine, but I want to have my storage on a separate machine, mainly because I have PBS running (on another Proxmox host), and it stores the backups on a share from TrueNAS. A couple weeks ago, I did an oopsie and bricked the Proxmox. I had everything backed up, but the shares were inaccessible because Proxmox was down, which meant TrueNAS was down. It was quite a bit of progress, but I got everything back up and running. So my question is, should I build a small Mini-ITX NAS or should I buy a ready-made enclosure? I would love to achieve this with ~300€. My main goal is for the built to me small, quiet and support SSD storage for the future upgrades.
  5. I'm not sure if this is even possible to achieve with one device, but I'll ask anyway. Excuse me if I'm asking stupid questions. I currently have an GoXRL mini, and I'm tired of the constant issues and random bugs I encounter daily. I've reinstalled everything, including Windows multiple times, but that's not the point of this question. I'm looking for an audio interface which would have these features: XLR input for my mic (AT2035) and ability to control gate, compressor and some sort of EQ. 3,5 mm output for my headphones (beyerdynamic one pro). Bluetooth receiver (Mainly to be able to control bluetooth headphones same way as wired) Is there any device you would recommend? Or is this even possible?
  6. Sorry for a very late reply, unfortunately I got pretty sick and could not respond, but I'm back. The model I have: Beyerdynamic Custom One Pro (Got them ridiculously cheap for €20). I know that this can be done with Bluetooth and that it would add significant delay. I'm mainly wondering is there a solution which uses 2,4Ghz/5Ghz. Something like SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro uses between the headphones and the dock. Or is that all proprietary stuff?
  7. I have a pair Beyerdynamic (Can’t remember the exact model) headphones and keep getting into fights with the cable. I use a pair of wireless Jabra headphones for work, and it’s so handy not having a cable. The wired headphones are connected to GoXLR mini via AUX. Being able to split game/chat/etc. audio and adjust on the go is mandatory for me. So, I was wondering, is there any way to “turn the wired headphones into wireless”. I know there are Bluetooth dongles, but GoXLR doesn’t have Bluetooth. Is there something like AUX to 2,4Ghz converter or something similar, I could use? I have a separate microphone, so I would only need to make output wireless.
  8. I understand where you are coming from, and you are indeed correct about the security part. I personally use Waze and Google Maps a lot, because of my work. I often need to drive to places I've never been and too lazy to input my home address every time I'm going home. The cherry on top is that both apps will lead me to a wrong place, I've reported this to Google and Waze months ago. Life360 I use for home automation with Home Assistant. Also, is it very useful for me and my partner to be able to check the other one is, when you can't get hold of him/her (Usually me being stuck in some underground server room with no service ). Also it's quite useful when I'm picking her up, I don't have to text while driving that I'm gonna be there in 5 min etc., she can just check my location. Why I don't mind disclosing this information. I'm not some important politician, spy, criminal or something similar. I have nothing that secret that would expose me to any danger at all. And if someone wanted to get my address, there are far more easier ways than hacking the database of the mentioned apps.
  9. Welp, it fixed itself automagically. Didn’t have time to try what @BiotechBen suggested, nor did I do anything else. So I guess the phone figured itself out.
  10. My iPhone 13 Pro Max (iOS 16.2) and my partner’s iPhone Xs Max (16.2) had problems reporting correct location info. We recently moved places, this was about 3 months ago. At the beginning, both of our phones were reporting the wrong location (our old address) while connected to WiFi. My phone fixed itself in 2–3 weeks. I’ve read that this due to Apple’s database for home location updates happening once a month, but my partner's phone is still reporting wrong location while connected to our WiFi. More specifically, my partner's phone is reporting our old address. What have I done: Fully reset our router, changed the SSID, changed the password. Our public IP also changed. Deleted all WiFi networks that her phone remembered. Reset all location and privacy settings on her phone. Set home location on every possible app including Apple Maps, Google Maps, Life360. Disabled and then enabled location services and Find My functionality. Multiple reboots for her phone. I’ve been trying to Google around for a fix, but I can’t find anything. I know one option is to do a full reset, but she is not keen on that. Does anyone know what else can we try?
  11. I have a Keychron K8 keyboard connected via Bluetooth dongle to my Gaming PC. The dongle I use is "Asus USB-BT500". I also use the same keyboard with my work laptop (Lenovo X1) For some reason, the keyboard has a lot of trouble connecting to the Gaming PC, it sometimes requires 6-8 tries and couple reboots of the keyboard. It has no problem connecting to my laptop. What I've tested: - Deleted all the drivers, tried with the drivers Windows provides, tried manufacturer drivers - Tried different ports on my mobo and front panel - Tried moving the dongle closer with proper USB 3.0 cable. - Made sure there are no obstacles, it and the dongle has good line of sight. Weird thing is that, none of the other devices I ever used with this dongle had any problems ever. The keyboard also works fine once it finally has connected. Any idea how can I improve the "connectivity"?
  12. Ah, thank you! This explains a lot. Thank you for your clarification too!
