  1. Also i realize that there are different versions of the cooler like black, rgb etc. What's the difference between them aside from looks
  2. I'm planning for a r7 5800x build and wondering if the hyper 212 evo is still worth getting for that cpu. My local pc store has many in stock and wondering if the cooler is still adequate enough esp due to its age.
  3. I'm planning to sell it all together. so I think 400-500 dollars might be reasonable. Will see other people's inputs tho
  4. Hello everyone, I'm planning to sell my old gaming PC locally and swapped the gpu (RX 5700xt with a gtx 1050 2gb) to use for my new PC build. Right now, I'm just wondering what USD price is reasonable to sell this PC at.
  5. I'm planning to give the current PC to someone else ssooo...
  6. Budget (including currency): Around 1k? (excluding reused parts) Country: USA Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: non-intensive video editing, high end gaming (Tarkov, Arma 3, Cyberpunk) Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): New build rough draft: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/pHLk4d So I'm planning to make another build from my old one with a more updated ryzen platform with significantly better CPU & RAM performance to play more intensive games released today. I have already created a rough draft for this build and looking for any advice to improve upon it. Take note that any items "purchased" are items that are going to be re-used in the new build. For reference here is my current/old build: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/YXKdXv EDIT: I'm already planning to get a 212 evo for the build, so no need for an aftermarket cooler
  7. Pretty much but one that is fit for a computer dual monitor setup and not so big. for ex. https://www.amazon.com/Writing-Computer-Industrial-Folding-Notebook/dp/B06XZV3F8F/ref=sr_1_8?dchild=1&keywords=Foldable+Computer+Desk&qid=1629844052&sr=8-8
  8. Hello everyone, I've been looking for a computer desk that is easily foldable (no assembly) for portability that is under 70 dollars. My current desk is too small for my dual monitor setup hence why I'm in the market for one.
  9. So the TLDR (for the gaming pc portions) is some gaming pcs that are not meeting the energy requirements are being banned/restricted?
  10. Really nooby question I know. I know that for laserjet printers, it isn't recommended to plug them into power strips, surge protectors, and UPS systems but I'm wondering if the same goes for inkjet printers? If needed, my model is HP Deskjet 3630 All-in-one inkjet printer. Power surge protector being used: https://www.amazon.com/GE-UltraPro-6-Outlet-Protector-Charging/dp/B087YPKBBF
  11. I decided to just run memtest to mainly test the cpu and ram, the components that I'm more concerned for.. Passed all 4 tests just fine for 3+ hours. So I think it's safe to say that I should be ok
  12. Hello Everyone, I just finished a pc build for my nephew and it is posting fine. I was able to leave the computer running at the bios screen and at the windows installation screen for a couple of hours with no issues. To be very honest, I never stress tested any PC builds that I did in the past and this is my first time approaching this topic. At this point, I'm looking to stress test the system to ensure it runs fine and wondering if that is even needed. I looked around and found mixed answers from "no-it isn't needed" to "yes you should". What do you guys think? If it is recommended to stress test it, what stress test should I use to test the ram, cpu, and gpu?
  13. did you try different sata power and data cables? If you already tried that, then try using another sata port on your motherboard.
  14. Did you have an existing backup of the data? If not, then the only option is to pay up for a data recovery from either your local repair shop or some other trustworthy shot. If you can't do either of that, you are out of luck unfortunately.
  15. So I'm liking the build you are mentioning so far but after some talking with my nephew, he wants to try to aim more of a higher end and better performing cpu, monitor, and RAM. Which IMO might be overkill and not needed. Never mind all good for now.
  16. Is there a non DVD drive of that case? I feel like that might interfere or make the motherboard install more difficult I also assume that it shouldn't need a bios update?
  17. https://pcpartpicker.com/product/g6vqqs/msi-b550m-a-pro-micro-atx-am4-motherboard-b550m-a-pro This one?
  18. 1. changed it to the ASRock B550M-HDV Micro. Not 100 percent sure if that is considered high end considering the price 2. Will change that probably 3. Will also change that
  19. Budget (including currency): 1000 to 1500 USD as listed by my nephew (Probably too overkill considering the things he does, will change based on response on thread) Country: US Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Most demanding game will be PUBG and ARK. Will also be doing non-intensive video editing. Other details This is a build for my nephew NOT ME. The video card listed in the pcpartpicker link is something we already have. Existing rough-draft pcpartpicker link is here
  20. That's actually looks like a good case, Thanks for the recommendation
  21. Correction, I plan to have 1 SSD for now but planning to add an extra drive later. So mainly 1 SSD for now. Nope don'tneed any of that.
