  1. how many chuncks are you loading? With my GTX 980 TI in 4k with all the chucks loading and a lot of people I get 40-60
  2. oh ok, then yes I would look into some quadro and firepro cards
  3. Dude no need to be hostile, and yes in most cases the R9 390x is faster than the GTX 980 also it's $100 cheaper and it has 8GBs of vram, 4 more than the GTX 980
  4. a R9 390 or R9 390x would do fine, and a R9 290x is better than the GTX 980
  5. A GTX 970 is horrible if he is going to be doing 3D modeling
  6. HI everyone! Hope everyone has had a great summer so far! (I haven't). Anyway if you see my older posts you would see all the PC struggles that I have had over June with Motherboard dying and graphics card and PSU. Anyway with the financial aid of friends I have finally brought my PC back to life!. I have now the same Motherboard just a new one, a Cooler Master 700w PSU that we salvaged from my friend's old PC, and the big thing that just arrived today, my new MSI GTX 980 TI (which is a pure beast btw). Also funny story on my Motherboard the ASUS branding is upsidedown lol. Anyway I just wanted to make this post because I'm happy! Thank you to all the people who have helped me on LTT forums solve my many problems, have a blessed day
  7. I'm just going to buy a psu, any recommendations?
  8. I put in a ticket about 3 weeks ago, emailed, nothing
  9. Ok so if you look at my other posts you can see all the problems I have had with my PC in the past month. Anyway so I finally got everything sorted out. I have a bad PSU, a bad Motherboard, and a bad GPU (which I have already returned and I got $500 back for. Anyway where I sit right now is I want to buy a GTX 980 TI Galax HOF which is $700. Also I have the mobo which they may or may not RMA, and it would take for ever to do that anyway also I don't have the box to ship it back so I'm going to buy a new mobo an ASUS Gryphon mATX z97 which is $161. Also I need a new PSU, because mine is out of Amazon's return thing and they would take a restocking fee too. Also I have contacted corsair and they never responded. So as I sit I have $500 and I need to buy a $700 GPU that comes out July 10th, a $161 Motherboard, and I want a modular PSU with GOLD rating enough for 980 TI SLI in the future, any suggestions?
  10. I think I might go for Fury X, but I'm still going to wait for the Galax HOF 980 TI to come out and see a side by side, if someone makes one
  11. Yes but the Fury X has really new drivers atm, and it might improve
  12. I have heard that the Fury X is quiet too
  13. I know, I just had one and it just died, also I know it's a downgrade, but I want one gpu and I want Directx 12.1 features, and i have a small room and that thing cooks me since I live in south Louisiana
  14. more vram, but Fury X has HBM, I can just turn gameworks off, which I would have to anyway since I'm playing in 4k and 980 TI plus gameworks in 4k still like 30 fps, arguably better drivers, and all the benchmarks I have seen don't overclock the Fury X which I plan to do. Also the Fury X has a backplate
  15. Ok, so long story short PC died need new GPU had a R9 295x2 and I can't decide between a R9 Fury X and a Galax GTX 980TI HOF. Please if you make a recommendation back it up with reasons I would choose that over the other option, aka no one sentence answers please
  16. your psu should hold it, and yes you will max out BF4, also instead of that extra 500 GB Hard drive I would get a 120 GB SSD and put windows on it
  17. I think it is kind of a risk, because everyone is comfortable with the xbox 360 controller, and it is kind of a risk to just introduce a new controller to the market
  18. hmmm, try to check if windows is recognizing it wrong
  19. bad sata port on the motherboard? Try plugging it into other ports
  20. I had a R9 295x2, and I didn't have troubles with the drivers, the only game I had trouble was The witcher 3 for obvious reasons, but then my R9 295x2 died
