  1. I'm looking for a high end quality speakers that is portable, so that I can bring it to a romantic picnic on the park, basketball court (indoor), or (maybe not because its a bit far fetch) the beach with friends. After a short research, this is what I come up with: * Bose soundlink III ($300 $260)- It has the BEST sound quality, its very loud (30 ft), unfortunately the Soundlink II has a better design in my opinion. Less durable than most portable speakers. * Bose soundlink II (nylon version) ($300 $200) - The Soundlink III did not beat this version by much in terms of sound quality. It has a much classier design. * Fugoo bluetooth speaker ($132) - Superb durability. Sound quality not sure. Has a directional speaker, doesn't spread well. Has AMAZING portable accessories. Long HOURS (40). Waterproof. * Jawbone Big Jambox ($300 $190) * Skullcandy Air raid ($150 $99) I would probably mostly use it when playing basketball and going out for hiking or picnic with my girlfriend. Sound quality is very important to me. Loudness as well since I will be playing it at a indoor basketball court at times. Durability comes in next to these. side notes: There are a lot of great portable speaker that is durable and has decent sound quality at loud volume. I supposed they focus more on their durability compared to their quality since it is a portable speaker. In my experience, nothing beats the Soundlink III in terms of quality, however, unfortunately it is not as durable as the other portable speakers. What is the BEST portable speakers that has excellent sound quality and loudness with decent durability? doesn't have to be from the list. (don't consider the Price)
  2. Hi, I'm trying to help my friend build a new computer, she says that she is willing to spend $2500 maximum. This is what I have recommended her and I'm somewhat confident about it. However I need advice on the motherboard and processor. about her: she's an architect major student that renders a lot. She does not game. She does not know anything about computer. Processor - Intel Core i7-4790K 4.0GHz Quad-Core Processor Motherboard - Asus SABERTOOTH Z97 MARK S ATX LGA1150 Motherboard CPU liquid cooler - Corsair H100i 77.0 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler Graphics Card - Asus GeForce GTX 980 4GB Video Card Memory - Corsair Vengeance 32GB (4 x 8GB) DDR3-1600 Memory SSD - Samsung 840 Pro Series 512GB 2.5" Solid State Drive Hard Drive - Western Digital Caviar Black 2TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive Power Supply - Corsair Professional Gold 750W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply DVD/CD reader - Samsung SH-118CB/BEBE DVD/CD Drive Windows - Microsoft Windows 8.1 (32/64-bit) Case Fans - Corsair Air Series SP120 High Performance Edition (2-Pack) 62.7 CFM 120mm Fans - Corsair Air Series AF140 Quiet Edition 67.8 CFM 140mm Fan Monitor - Asus VN247H-P 23.6" Monitor Computer case, keyboard, and mouse - already have.
  3. my sabertooth x9motherboard benchpins were damaged, I sent it back to ASUS. and hoping that they could fix it. They returned me with nothing changed. I called them and asking why didn't they fix it. They said that benchpins are not under manufacture warranty. Is this true? Does that mean I need to buy a new one???
  4. The thing is, the Video Card is not even running on the motherboard. like any video card. I tested my friend's video card as well
  5. I have a Sabertooth X79 motherboard. I recently bought a new case and for the very first time try to move my computer parts from one to the new case. For some reason (which I'm still confused why) everything works when I power it on, except for my Video Card and motherboard's fans (the one came attach to the motherboard). I sent back the motherboard which was still under warranty. It came back and nothing has changed. I'm going to call them tomorrow morning since customer support is closed right now. my question is; 1. if I plugged both only the motherboard power cable and turn it on. both the fan should work right? even though i didn't plug anything else yet. ps. the power light on the motherboard turns on when i turn it on. please help.
  6. I use MAXWELL and RHINOCEROS as my main rendering and 3d modeling. do you know anything about them? Thanks for the info, I will look into it some more.
  7. Holy Mother Load. hahah This is my dream build if I have the money. NICE.. I do some rendering myself with maxwell and maya mostly. What software do you use? Let me know if this build pays off at your rendering performance as much as it cost.. LOL
  8. What are the major components that can affect the performance of rendering/3dmodeling softwares such as maxwell? From what I know these are the 3: 1. the CPU/processor. you basically would want to look for the best there is with most ghz and cores. 2. the Video Card. I heard Nvidia is a better work station video card. and just get the best there is - well match it with the money that you got. 3. the memory. the memory is how much information it can run at once. if you're not opening a lot of softwares and are not rendering complex geometries in a high resolution. then you won't need lots of ram. i normally render about 5 images quite big with 300 dpi. while still using my photoshop and illustrator yet my RAM only hit about 17 GB (i have 32, just to be safe) THE QUESTIONS: 1. about dual processor. is it worth it? i heard its not worth it if you're using it for gaming. how about rendering. 2. SLI / crossfire vs. a new better GHZ. - So I have MSI Radeon HD 7870 GHz Edition 2GB Video Card, i was thinking to get another HD 7870 to do a crossfire. ($300) But a friend of mine suggested me to get a new better Video card instead GTX980 ($600). I know there there are 3 things to look at in a Video Card; memory size(MB), Core clock Speed (MHZ), memory clock speed (MHZ). What i'm wondering is how does each of these 3 affects when i render.
  9. i have been using my Ouroboros for the past 2 years and it still works as new.. I love it. I think they're a reliable company and thats why I went for it.
  10. LOL I see, well I don't really care for epeen (a word i had to even google first lol). I just wanted to know if my PC performance is worth my money and if not, how did I spend it wrong. Thanks tho
  11. Thanks. I had no understanding whatsoever of computer before. This was a recommendation from a friend. I however am planning to upgrade my GPU with a GTX980 or GTX970.
  12. In 2013 I spend about $2000-$2500 on my built PC. I test with 3dMark regarding its perfomance for fun. So i was wondering what people might think about the score in comparison to the money I spent on it. I did not overclock it. This is because I'm not sure of what the score i get means also post how much you spend on yours and the score that you get as a comparison. I am open to any suggestions. Thank you.
  13. 2things I need to confirm 1st: If I already have Corsair Vengeance 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 1600 MHz. I can't or shouldn't buy a Corsair Vengeance Pro 32GB 4 x 8GB DDR3 2400MHz as an add on to work with my previous RAM, because the speed aren't the same then the new and better RAM would just slow down to match my Corsair Vengeance 16GB DDR3 1600MHz? 2nd: Since I have already bought the 16GB kit of 1600MHz, would it work if I upgrade by buying another 16GB or 32GB kit of the same speed (1600MHz) ?
  14. I'm not sure if you're asking the performance interms of game or professional rendering software such as maxwell or maya. But if it were Professional rendering, usually they come with a benchmark tester themselves; such as Maxwell.
  15. first of, thanks for the recommendation. If i were to change my processor, will it be alright to detach my H100i and place it on the new processor. This might be a silly question but I just want to be sure if you can detach and reattach a water cooling system without any trouble.
