  4. Since my previous post did not have many replies i will repost Hi there fellow computer enthusiast, i'm in the final stage of planning for my new rig and have come out with the following specs after many changes to it.This rig is mainly used for gaming (Mainly Dota 2 on max and newer games on medium/high settings). Not planning on overclocking or anything as it only gives a minor improvement in frames (Right?). Budget is 1.5k SGD.~ Is it good to go or do i need to do other modifications? Initial build: Case:Corsair Spec 03 Mid Tower - $89 Motherboard+Processor:Asus Z87 Pro + i5 4960k -$538 Ram:Corsair Pro Vengeance 1866Mhz - $135 SSD:SAMSUNG 250GB 850 EVO - $199 CPU cooler:Cooler Master Hyper 212X - $69 Graphic card- Sapphire R9 280X 3GB Tri-X Vapor-X STD- $385 Power Supply-Seasonic M12II-520W Modular 80+ - $99 Final build: CPU+MB: Intel Core i5-4460 + ASRock Fatal1ty B85 Killer @ $342 RAM: G.Skill RipJaws-X DDR3-1600 CL9 8GB Dual Channel Kit [Red] @ $114 GPU: MSI GTX 970 4GB GAMING OC @ $565 SSD: Samsung SSD 850 EVO 250GB @ $175 HDD: Western Digital Blue 1TB @ $70 PSU: Super Flower Leadex Gold 550W [80 Plus Gold] @ $129 CASE: Corsair Carbide SPEC-02 @ $84 For the final build what mobo would be good to be swap out for since im afraid the mobo would be out of stock so im looking for other alternatives. And does anyone know any good Wifi dongle/Attachment that enable wireless to your PC? Since initially i wanted an onboard wifi on the mobo then i realized i would be paying $50-$100 more. Price list if you need it > http://www.tradepac....epacwebsite.pdf

  8. To be honest,if you're gonna spend $500 on a pc setup, might as well spend more. Getting a low/budget set up won't last long ~ Anyhow try to research different shops in Sim lim since there are many different shops (Fuwell,PCthemes,Tradepac,Cybermind) Do your research and compare prices.~
  9. Might as well get a G3258 + a better graphics card that r9 260x will fail you in future games
  10. Will check out PCtheme/bestbargain. Well i would'nt know what shop is credible. It's my first time~ It's a learning process so yeah. Thanks for the info
  11. Hows the quality like? It looks pretty low quality like. ~
  12. Trying to buy the whole thing in one shop and make them assemble it. If i assembled myself and screw up,whats the point of all the saved money, they all gonna be wasted in buying new parts if they are fried
  13. Do you know whether they would be any major difference between Asrock extreme z97 extreme 4 vs msi z97 pcmate vs msi z97 guard pro vs msi z97s SLI Plus. Planning to overclock it and going for a black and blue look, hence the choice of board. Note the different in prices and whether the different features justify the cost. http://www.fuwell.com.sg/uploads/misc/Fuwell030415.pdf< Place to find the mother board Prices are listed together with i5 4690k Prices > Asrock extreme 4 - $583 Msi PCmate - $496 Msi Guard Pro-$510 Msi Sli Plus - $542 For those interested in my build it is this Case:Corsair Spec 03 Mid Tower - $89 Motherboard+Processor: Z97 Extreme 4 + i5 4960k -$584 Ram:Corsair Pro Vengeance 1866Mhz - $135 SSD:SAMSUNG 250GB 850 EVO - $199 CPU cooler:CoolerMaster Hyper 212X - $69 Graphic card- Sapphire R9 280X 3GB Tri-X Vapor-X STD- $385 Power Supply-Seasonic M12II-520W Modular 80+ - $99 Total: SGD $1,560
  14. Do you know whether they would be any major difference between Asrock extreme z97 extreme 4 vs msi z97 pcmate vs msi z97 guard pro vs msi z97s SLI Plus. Cause my friends recommend an Asrock board for better quality i guess and that the pcmate sounds bad
