    2.5 update?

From personal experience on 2.5 ptu, I can say it's still a bit undercooked. Desync is an ongoing issue, there's still some texture/lighting issues at long range, and the dreaded infinite loading screen is back. My guess is we'll get another ptu patch monday, a release candidate tuesday night/wed, maybe release to live thurs/fri
  2. The first implementation of their networking rewrite is coming in 2.7 (Now renamed to 3.0 as of the Gamescom presentation, slated for "before the end of year" - specific mention on having it out pre-xmas since that's been a disaster 2 years running - both ac1.0 and PU2.0). It's a start, not an end, to changing the existing bottlenecks everyone's experiencing on the PU, but it will hopefully have a few positive effects, from better server sync, to higher player counts, to improved performance on the client side. Expect it to be something they continually iterate on and refine following its initial revamp in the big PU update.
  3. i did, though sadly the result comes in a touch lower (seems that memory oc actually has an impact this time around). Wondered if it was just a fluke, double checked with unigine valley/heaven, same thing there, mix of gpu/mem oc > pure gpu oc by a couple %. When I'm done dicking around on the 2.5.0 star citizen alpha ptu i'll get to running it again at the higher clock.
  4. Can't wait for the custom bios' to show up along with some waterblocks. I've had the core stable @ 2200Mhz (~+280) now just on air @ 120% power, but even the slightest ram adjustment brings instability. Seems for me, +230/650 on the core/memory is the limit for stable benching I can do @ stock. (still, 2100/112000 on air is hardly shabby)
  5. Like above, got my new txp... but 2 of em! Had to turn down my cpu OC following a bit of a disaster with the water loop, so cpu's back to an AIO cooler for now, again. Bench: Firestrike Ultra CPU: 5960x @ 4.6GHz GPU: Titan X-P x2 GPU Core: +220, highest listed boost in 3dmark was 2063Mhz GPU Mem: +600, totaling 11,200Mhz Score: 13850 Link: http://www.3dmark.com/fs/9716933 http://www.3dmark.com/hall-of-fame-2/fire+strike+3dmark+score+ultra+preset/version+1.1/2+gpu Look ma', I'm 5th! Until like... tomorrow.
  6. A quick test to see how 8k screenshots would work out. Tried uploading them to imgur - they compress the img down to 5mb, and that @ 8k makes for one ugly screencap. So instead I'll just leave a flickr album link: https://www.flickr.com/photos/143918979@N03/albums/72157668146715193 Just a mix of SC and W3, nothing too special. I tried taking shots as .bmp's, but each one came out @ 150mb+ so..... that wasn't really feasible. The .png's were ~40mb, which is more workable. Edit: I attempted to embed one of the flickr images to this post - it made my chrome crash when I tried to preview it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  7. I'll say this much, it's a lot more colorful than the rest of w3. Feels like I've gone from Velen to the Shire.
  8. Yep, it sure was, playing through it atm. Non-spoiler shots:
  9. Super Hang On did Gran Turismo before GT even existed. Bike component upgrades, bike repairs, hiring a mechanic, being paid by a sponsor, rivalries. Actually, that's a lot more than what GT offers. It was way ahead of its time, just lacked the hardware to build on the ideas with real depth. GT would be a whole lot more interesting as a game if you earned cash by winning over sponsors, had to hire mechanics, had to actually spend cash to repair cars to keep them running etc. Not to mention that it'd differentiate it from other racing games like Assetto Corsa / Project CARS / Forza.
  10. The PU side of things is bottlenecked server side atm, it's a known issue. Results in really high cpu usage on a single core on the user end, and really low gpu usage. It'll improve as the game moves forward. You'll find performance better at non-peak times, or there's a way to play offline/solo using cheatengine, there's a guide for it somewhere on reddit.
  11. Everybody's gone to the Rapture. A.k.a.: Everybody forgot to optimize. It runs pretty badly. Not DayZ or Ark badly, but sort of quantum break badly. Considering its a pretty old build of cryengine3, it should run a lot better for what is basically an empty environment. I get better fps in SC, Crysis 3 or Evolve than I do here, and there's a lot less going on here in terms of physics and whatnot.
  12. Some more DS3. Warning: Spoilers.
  13. Dark Soul 3 anyone? 5k / ultra, reshade, solid 60fps. Not too shabby.
  14. For Honor. I believe that's what it's from, a ubisoft game.
