  1. Thanks for that assurance. I think I will RMA it. I hope I will have the same experience as you. We know how much nicer people are in Canada. lol.
  2. Unless I get any other suggestions then I guess I will have to RMA it. I've never RMAd anything before so I'm a little nervous sending my stuff out and get that feeling that you won't get anything back.
  3. Hi guys. I have an ASUS Maximus VIII hero. I was able to install Windows 10 in the M.2 SSD drive and was running for a couple of days. Then I woke up yesterday and I see a "Preparing Automatic Repair" loop. I just can't get into my OS. I've tried different SSDs with different versions of Windows, I've also tried different versions of Windows recovery flash drives, even a DVD. It would just keep reseting itself. The farthest I've ever gotten was at the screen where I can choose to run Windows 10 in safe mode which of course resets the system if I choose to run it in safe mode. Most of the time the motherboard would turn off first before it restarts itself. I've already spoken with Asus tech support and they recommend I just RMA the product but I thought I should ask here first before I do that in case it's something I can fix. I can get into the BIOS just fine and I'm able to see whatever boot device I put in. STEPS I've tried: -clear cmos (both thru CMOS button and by removing the battery) -just 1 stick of RAM -Reseat everything -other stuff that I've mentioned above. I would appreciate any help. I know most guys that help here are far more competent than the ones that work at tech support. I would hate to RMA and get the same problem just because I didn't try one thing. Thank you in advance.
  4. Hi guys, I need help. I bought a 4k version of Lenovo y50 with the 512 SSD. It has a dual GTX 960m and an intel integrated video. It has Windows 8.1 preinstalled on it but I hated it and decided I would install Windows 7 on it. By doing that I ended up deleting the partition that has the recovery and stuff. I was able to install Windows 7 but I didn't realize how difficult it was to find drivers for this laptop. I had to install the driver for the integrated graphics before I could install the geforce driver. Once the geforce driver gets installed all hell breaks loose. If I right click on the desktop the busy icon/cursor appears and won't go away. If I try to do anything that has to do with the display at all then the computer freezes. I tried installing the driver with geforce experience but same thing happens and geforce experience freezes as well. My guess is that it may be confused whether to use the integrated card or the GTX card. I really don't know, I'm not a tech genius or anything and I know I should have just stuck with the Windows 8.1 but It's too late now and I can't go back since that partition that allows me to go back was deleted. Is there anyone out there that can help me? please...
  5. It took some persistence but I finally got a new pump. After posting on their forum Bryan helped me and if this new pump keeps working then the nightmare is finally over...I hope.
  6. They do have a twitter. I guess that means I need to learn how to use twitter. Lol
  7. Thanks you guys. I will try calling tomorrow. They shipped the item very quickly and the cpu block works well. The screw holes on the rad didn't quite line up. Of course the pump that I RMAed wouldn't power on after 10 days. It's really too bad because I liked the fact that their warehouse is near me but I probably wouldn't buy from them unless I was desperate.
  8. I bought a few things from swiftech back in february and unfortunately the pump croaked in 10 days. I contatacted them and they gave me an RMA number. I sent them the pump and after a week I didn't hear from them so I emailed them and they told me that they haven't got to it yet. They said it usually takes 1 week turnaround for RMAs but they were busy so it would take 2 weeks. I waited another week and still nothing. So I emailed them again and they said they checked the pump and it was indeed broken. They also said the new pump would ship that day or the next. I live about 20 miles from them so I figured another week was enough time. Nothing!. I emailed asking for a tracking number or even a refund if they didn't want to deal with me and they just completely stopped replying to me emails. I was going to rant on their forum but for some reason I can't even login or get an activation email, they must have blocked my email in their system or something. It's been almost a month since I sent them the broken pump and I'm still waiting. I've never RMAd anything and unfortunately my first time is turning out to be a complete nightmare. Shame on you Swiftech!
